"Well I wanted to throw up, same difference," she said, making a face at him. "And I don't need to practice kissing," she said, slightly offended, after all she might not be admitting to it, but she didn't have anything to criticize about his kissing. "I hardly even tried. I didn't even attempt to do anything just now and back at the dance I barely put in any effort at all." Still, now she had to kind of wonder if she was a bad kisser. She certainly didn't have the experience that Jett had at it. But that didn't mean she was automatically bad. She could still be good even though she didn't do it often. She was good at snowboarding and she only did that once or twice a year. Although she supposed she went snowboarding more than she kissed. Eden didn't exactly get a lot of kissing practice in considering she didn't exactly go out with a ton of guys or ever talk to a ton of guys other than Ben and Jett.
"Maybe you will be waiting forever and maybe you won't. You won't know when its going to hit you but whenever it does...it will be good. I assure you," she boasted. She of course didn't have the slightest idea what she'd do to get him back, but she knew she was going to have to enlist Izzy's help and maybe even the help of Ben. Ben usually took Jett's side but she knew her brother wasn't completely opposed to messing with his friend either, just like she wouldn't be opposed to helping out on a prank to get Ben or even Izzy, depending on what it was.
"And I don't have to accept anything. Next year you'll be at college anyway so I won't have to deal with you," she pointed out. She had no idea where he was planning on going, but she had to assume he'd be going on to higher education. After all, anymore most people did unless they couldn't afford it or something.

Jett was not about to admit that Eden was not a bad kisser. She was actually one of the better ones and she had no experience. Must be natural. Which did intrigued him. He must have been that good of a teacher after one kiss. Yeah Jett was aware he was too cocky for his own good, but why now. He knew he was good. "If you call what you did at the dance no effort, then i would love to see what effort looks like. Don't be so sad. You are just inexperienced. Nothing wrong with that." he smiled. He was only kidding.
He raised a brow as she told him he would not see it coming. Jett did a mock bow, "If you can get me good then I will give you a bow and a round of applause. I can take a little humiliation." He knew Eden would never do something hurtful, just embarrassing and Jett would find a way to spin it and make it a joke. HE was good at that. part of his goofy personality. Jett let things run off his back. IF he could;d not handle a prank then he had no point in pulling them. Well Jett loved pranks.
"You wound me with your words. You know you will miss me." He winked. "You will have to deal with me. What happens when i come back for the holidays. Com on you know your life would be boring without me." Jett would never say that out loud, but he would miss Eden. Not romantically but he did consider her a friend even if she did not.

"I said I barely put in any effort, meaning hardly tried," she said, "I can kiss way better than that--I just didn't want to waste it on you," she told him. Now she was starting to sound cocky, although really all of her cockiness was false. She had no idea of knowing whether she was any good or not, she just didn't want to give Jett the satisfaction, although at this point she wasn't completely certain why she even cared. "Plus, if I was so bad...why'd you do it again," she said, still arrogant. She was sick of letting Jett win...and after a month of messing with him, she was finding that she wasn't quite as afraid of him as she used to be.
"Yeah, you say that now," she said when he said he could take the humiliation. She was starting to worry herself though. She was building up her prank and she didn't even have one yet. She'd have to enlist help to come up with something really really good. She just had to get him...had to. She couldn't let him win...not when it was so clear he'd won this time all because of something as stupid as her leaving her lip gloss in Ben's car. She had to get him back.
"Yeah, why would I miss someone who's personal mission in life is to make mine miserable," she said. "Trust me, I think I'll be just fine without you." She folded her arms across her chest and looked at him crossly. He just never left her alone and when she'd tried to get him back...he stopped that to. There was just no winning when it came to Jett and she was starting to get tired of it. Maybe he thought it was all funny, but it wasn't always funny...at least not to Eden. Maybe he thought they were really friends, but Eden didn't think so. She had no reason to.

"Why not kiss you again. The look on your face was priceless." Jett said with a smile, "Besides I like the taste of your lip gloss remember. I must admit, the hit to the chest was a nice touch but I was expecting a slap." He had really thought she would slap him. Which would hurt like hell, but hey it was worth it to see her reaction.
It was true, jett never knew when to quite when it came to messing with Eden. Only because she seemed so serious. She just did not know how to let a prank roll off her back as just something fun. Perhaps now he would get to see her laugh a little more and smile. Sure he could explain and tell her all this, but that was not fun. Eden sat back and just let it happen for years, but now maybe, just maybe she would fight back for once and enjoy it.
If that meant Jett maybe, just maybe liked Eden a little bit then so be it. One thing Jett knew was that nothing would ever, in a million years, happened with the blond in front of him> Why you ask? Because this was Eden and Jett refused to go there ever. This was all for a game, a prank. "It is not my mission to make your life miserable. It is my mission to make you laugh and to make you fight. You have to admit, the idea of a prank war is fun. It makes you smile. Not so serious all the time. Being serious...makes you miss out on life."

"Expecting a slap...huh," Eden said. She was beyond annoyed with him. She hesitated for a moment not sure if she had the guts to do it...she'd never really slapped someone before...she was more the kind of girl to punch someone than slap someone...but if it was a slap he wanted.... Eden lifted her hand up in the air and slapped it across Jett's face, making a cracking sound as her hand moved across his cheek. "Then a slap you'll get," she said, glaring at him.
"And I don't need Jett's life lessons or whatever advice you're trying to give me...I'll laugh at a prank if I think its funny...I don't think you're funny," she said. Okay, maybe Eden knew that she could be too serious sometimes... Ben pointed it out all the time...and even Izzy had said something before...but for some reason Jett just made her so angry. She couldn't help but take it seriously, even when she tried not to. "This isn't some crappy Lifetime made for TV movie. I'm not going to all of a sudden find you hilarious because you tell me that I take things too seriously," she countered, rolling her eyes at him.

Ouch. Damn Eden could slap. Jett now regretted telling her to slap him. If his skin was not dark you would see a red mark. Jett rubbed his face and smiled, "Nice arm. Must be from surfing so much." He said and shook it off. Defiantly the most hurtful slap in terms of physical pain. Damn she had an arm. He had to commend her. He did not think she would do it. Man the things Jett did to prove a point. Only this time it backfired.
"What you don't find me funny. Come on not ever a little bit...a tiny bit. do not be so shocked. I have always been like this. I know you wont bust out laughing anytime soon. Its a shame too." Jett commented. He never knew just how much what he did affected her. He was just so use to poking fun at her that it was second nature to him.
"I think if you did laugh out of no where I would get freaked. I just enjoy getting under your skin. Its fun because you let me bother you all the time." He smiled. Its what he did. he did not think it was so bad.

"Yeah well its not like I spend all my spare time shopping and scrapbooking," Eden said sarcastically. After all, it was no secret that Eden was a bit of a tomboy. A lot of people that didn't know about surfing didn't really get how it took a lot of upper body streagnth , but although Jett didn't surf with them too much, he spend enough time with her brother to know about it. All that paddling out into the waves gave her relatively strong arms. They didnt' look particularly muscular, but as soon as she flexed, her muscles were definately aparent. Still, she had to appreciatet that Jett had given her props for her slap, even if she wouldn't admit she was grateful to him.
"Annoying...arrogant...obnoxtious...those would be on the list...but funny...no, not really," she said lightly, as she shook her head at him. She said it somewhat jokingly, even a little playfully, which surprised her that she was actually joking with him a bit because she really didn't think he was funny. Was she starting to? She wasn't quite sure, but there was some witty banter going back and forth between them and that was certainly knew. Something was definately going on between them, but Eden couldn't quite put her finger on what it was.
When he mentioned he'd get freaked out if she did just laugh at something she did, she couldn't help but let out a laugh, "Oh, that would be enough for me," she said, making a face at him. "I'm on a mission. I'll get you, don't you worry....Actually, do worry, because it will be good and you won't know what hit you..." Sure she was just talking shit, but who cared. Since she'd started messing with Jett during the whole Raine thing, she'd actually started taking him less seriously, mostly because she thought he was buying her prank. Now she knew that he knew the truth, but for some reason....things were still different. She didn't know what it was...but it was different...

"Oh you you met my mom." He laughed. He was only kidding. Eden knew his mom hence the joke. "She came home with so many bags I swear she bought out the damn store." His mom loved spending her money. It was amazing how many shoes a woman could own. Yet Izzie was not like her at all. Which was weird. "You have been talking to Izzy. She calls me all those things. I think each one is a compliment. Thank you. I would describe you, but i wont risk another slap." He nodded and smiled.
What the heck was going on. He had no idea. Was something different? He did not think so. He messed with her like normal, but this was different some how. She was different. Or perhaps he was. No way. Jett different. No way. He just chalked it up to being Valentine's day. Nothing more. Nothing was different. He reasoned.
"Oh man I am getting scared now. I look forward to that day. A mission. Just make sure it stays a mission and not an obsession. I know I can be like that. Girls obsessing and everything." He winked. "Even if I am old and grey when it comes. It will be worth it." He leaned against the locker and sighed. She was not bad when she laughed. Thats all he wanted. It sucked to be serious all the time. Missing out on the fun. "So what are your plans for later today?" Wait why did he care. No he did not care. But might as well ask.

Eden rolled her eyes at the mention of his mom. Yeah she did shop a lot, even more than Eden's mom shopped, which sometimes Eden found almost impossible. Because of her mom's status she received a ton of stuff for free. It seemed like every day designers would be sending her their latest bags, shoes, dresses, etc. hoping she'd get caught on camera wearing them and it would boost their sales. But that didn't stop her mom from shopping. Instead she liked to shop for both Eden and Ben, half the time getting them things neither of the shorts and T-shirt wearing kids would ever wear. But she seemed to enjoy it and sometimes Eden would actually end up with something cool, so she didn't really complain.
"Oh please do," Eden said, kind of curious to how he'd describe her, but she wouldn't admit to wanting to know that, "I kind of want to slap you again," she said with a smirk. Eden had changed a little but she wasn't completely aware of it. After the whole Raine thing she was starting to become a little more confident around Jett and even a little more comfortable. She didn't feel the need to try and get away from him because she was starting to be able to hold her own. It wasn't so one-sided anymore.
"Right," Eden said when he spoke of her pranking him and how he looked forward to it. Now she just hoped that she could come up with something...something really good. She had to, or he'd never let her live it down.
If Eden had realized that her thoughts were the same exact one's as Jett was having she would have been freaked out, but she had no idea what the boy was thinking, so said the first thought that came to her mind. "Why do you care?" She gave him a look. "It's Valentine's Day...I was in the middle of making plans with you so I could mess with you but you sort of ruined that so...I got nothing."

"Be careful I just might enjoy getting slapped around." Jett winked. He smiled, "I would describe you as meek, timid, up tight and serious. Although now....after this little game I would have to add feisty and spunky to that list." It was true. Eden was meek and timid. She always got so nervous and uptight around Jett. Now she seemed different and that was fine by him. He did not mind this new side of Eden. He could not pinpoint what is was, but either way she was fighting back for once.
Jett shook those thought out of his head. It did not matter. It meant nothing. So Eden could fight back. Who cares? He did not. Right? "I don't care. I was just curious as to what you were going to do besides standing me up. Which I still don't believe. If you wanted a date you still should have asked." He laughed. He loved poking fun. It made things a tad normal. Because whatever the hell was going on with them was weird. Jett was not sure he wanted her to fight back anymore.
Jett looked around and winked at a few women who walked by, "If you don't want that date then i guess I shall find another. Or just drag Izzy around. There is always a party on Valentine's day. Then again it is a school night, but that has never stopped me before."
