So I have 4 new charas I'm bringing in after the time jump. I already had Astor approved. And now I shall post the other 3 for approval. I am also getting rid of a few characters I don't play so much so don't worry I'm not getting in over my head with too many peoples or anything! Anyway Clara is the first:
Character Name: Clara Grace Ryerson
Nickname: she mostly goes by Clara, sometimes people will call her Ryerson or Rye, but mostly it’s just Clara
Age: 14
Birthday: August 27th
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, CA
School: Silver or Gould
Grade: Freshman
Height: 5’3”
Hair Color: dirty blone
Eye Color: blue
Detailed Appearance: At first site Clara looks extremely sweet and innocent. She often wears her long hair down and it curls at the ends. She has a heart shaped face, pale skin, and a petite build. She’s pretty skinny and isn’t super developed yet, being almost completely flat chested and not much curve in her body either, which makes her sometimes seem younger than she is.
As far as clothes go, Clara, wouldn’t really consider herself trendy or anything. She never really had a ton of money to spare so she always just wore whatever jeans and a shirt she had. She tends to wear sneakers and comfortable clothes. She doesn’t mind dressing girly or dressing up, she just usually doesn’t bother with it.
Personality: Clara is a bit of an enigma to people who don’t know her. Her mother was killed when she was a baby and she was raised by her father, who was a cop. She was really close with her dad since they didn’t really have anyone else in their family. Her father taught her to fight…she’s a black belt, and watch your back because she fights dirty. Her dad taught her to fight to win and to not let anyone take advantage of her. She could probably take on some grown men, let along simple high school students…so watch your back.
Another thing that is surprising about Clara is when she opens her mouth. She might have a high pitched, sweet sounding voice, but what comes out of it…isn’t so pretty. Her dad was a cop with an extremely dirty mouth and Clara sort of picked up on that. She’s constantly getting in trouble for her language but she doesn’t really try to change it either. She can curse someone out without even batting an eyelash and her potty mouth doesn’t only come out when she’s angry. It’s sort of all the time, so needless to say, she gets corrected a lot, which she can be a smart ass about sometimes.
She does get annoyed, getting in trouble for things like bad language and fighting, but she won’t fight someone for correcting her. She knows that a lot of people don’t get it and for the most part, she has no problem keeping her fists to herself unless she’s defending herself or standing up for someone. She’s not going to go around fighting everyone and anyone unprovoked. But provoke her and beware.
Thoughts on High School: She’s brand new so wasn’t around for those events
Town Area: Van Nuys
Job: doesn’t have one
Transportation: bus, bicycle, older siblings, parents
Family Background: William Ryerson – deceased – he was a cop who was shot and killed on the job. As Clara was raised by her father, they were extremely close. Her father’s death still affects her greatly but she doesn’t really like to talk about it. Even in death, she still does everything she can to make him proud.
Joan Ryerson – deceased – she was killed in a drive by gang shooting when Clara was two. She doesn’t really remember much about her but she has an old picture of her that she likes to look at when no one is around.
Westley Cooper – foster-father – Clara respects him, even likes him most of the time. However, he tends to be more serious and go a little harder on her when Marie is around, so when that happens she gets annoyed with him. She does not want him to parent her and will often inform him that he’s not her father.
Marie Gallagher Cooper – foster-mother – Like with Westley, Clara tries her best to respect her but often ends up just mouthing off to her and complaining when she gets in trouble.
Gabriel Ocampo – foster brother – Gabe’s super cool. Clara likes him because he doesn’t try to tell her what to do.
Brianna Cooper – foster sister – she’s cool. Clara always makes fun of her though, especially when she talks about boys.
Danielle Torres – foster sister – age 16 – Danielle is waaaaaay too girly, for Clara anyway. Clara teases her a lot too although she also gets annoyed with her a lot, especially when she has to wear her hand-me-down clothes. They fight a lot but Clara would never physically fight with her since she knows Danielle couldn’t handle it. Clara has kind of become very much like Danielle’s annoying kid sister.
Miles Cooper – foster brother – age 15 – Miles is a total uber nerd. But Clara loves it cause he’s super nice and doesn’t get on her about the way she acts. He gets made fun of him a lot and Clara always defends him.
Lila Gallagher – foster sister – age 14 – Clara is cool but she’s a little wimpy sometimes. Clara’s always trying to toughen her up.
Dominic Cooper – foster brother – age 14 – Clara likes Dom. They’re relationship started off a big rough as he used to insist she was all talk, but after she kicked his ass, he dropped it. They’re friends now, since well, no one wants Clara as an enemy.
Kiley Cooper – foster sister – age 14 – Kiley is awesome. She always has her back. She mostly follows Clara around but Clara doesn’t really mind. They like baking cupcakes together and have become really close.
Tristan Montalvo – foster brother – age 8 – Tristan can be sooooooooo annoying. He’s a typical little brother type but usually all Clara has to do is look at him and he’ll run away scared. However at the end of the day, Clara has come to look at him like a little brother and she’d have his back if it came down to it.
Chelsea Montalvo – foster sister – age 7 – Chelsea is equally annoying as Tristan. Luckily she’s more interested in playing dress up with Danielle than anything else, so for the most part Clara’s okay with her. Clara thinks of her as a little sister though and would totally have her back.
Noah Cooper – age 5 – Clara thinks he’s awesome. He’s super cool and super funny. She teaches him to fight which gets Westley and Marie mad.
Sophia Cindy Cooper – age 4 – Clara thinks Sophie is pretty cool too. She also tries to teach her to be tough so she doesn’t turn into a girly-girl, also something not appreciated by her foster parents.
History: Clara was born to William and Joan Ryerson. They weren’t a very rich couple as William was just starting out as a cop and Joan was a preschool teacher, but they had a small house in Inglewood and were very excited to being Clara into the world. However, one night, William got a call while he was patrolling from Clara’s daycare that Joan never came to pick her up. Joan was missing for a few days before they found her body. She had been shot in a drive by while walking from work to the day care center and the culprits had dragged her body into the back of an ally to hide the evidence. While they were able to eventually catch the gang members involved, they ended up getting off on a technicality. William was never the same after that.
William moved out of the house and into a smaller apartment, mostly because he couldn’t stand living in the house where Joan used to be. He was very attentive to Clara, perhaps more so than he would have been had Joan lived. He didn’t give her a ton of freedom to go out or play with other kids. Instead he trained her. He taught her to fight so she could beat anyone who crossed her. While he showed her weapons, he wouldn’t let her touch them, telling her that he’d teach her when she was older. However, that never happened. When Clara was 12, William was patrolling for his job when he was shot and killed. Not having any other family, Clara was put into foster care. In her first month of care she was in and out of two different houses, the family’s both claimed that Clara was too difficult mostly because they didn’t know what to make of her general attitude and willingness to fight.
They asked the Cooper’s to take her in because they had a lot of kids from the system anyway and they felt that they would be able to deal with Clara even if she was a little different. Clara didn’t know what to make of it at first, suddenly being in such a full house when she was used to it being just her and her dad. It took her a bit to adjust and she might have beat up Dominic, but eventually she learned to deal and even kind of like having a big family. She and Dominic are fine now too. For the most part, since she’s been with them a little over a year, she considered everyone in the Cooper clan her family now even if she does get annoyed with some of them at times, but she still hasn’t forgot about her dad and she’ll change for no one, knowing that she’s doing what he would have wanted her to do.
Class Schedule:
Length of Attendance: since the start of freshman year
After school activities: Boxing Team
Likes: fighting, defending people, speaking her mind, being sarcastic, being a bit of a smart ass, her new family, having friends, the looks on people’s faces when they can see what she can do, bubble gum, lime green—it’s her favorite color, video games, comic books, just hanging out and having a good side
Dislikes: being told what to do, feeling like she’s being boxed in, sharing a bathroom, being treated like a little girl, people assuming she likes girly things, Lady Gaga, Hannah Montana, when people beat people up for no reason (according to Clara she always has a reason), getting corrected for her language, not being old enough to drive, the fact that she can’t remember her mom, the fact that both her parents were killed, being in foster care (she likes the Cooper’s but wishes she could still be with her parents), not having any real family left

Face Claim: Chloe Mortez
Player: Cheryl
Writing Sample: Clara glared at the older man standing in front of her. He was dressed in a pair of gym shorts and a dark gray T-shirt with sweat stains and tube socks that were scrunched around his ankles. His hair was thin and starting to bald and his belly was large enough that she was surprised that he was in charge of the boxing team. Apparently he must have been good at some point in his life, but somehow Clara doubted this. Although, she’d doubt anything he claimed mostly because he refused to let her even show him what she can do.
“So, go along now,” he said, sort of shooing her. Clara crossed her arms, still glaring at him. It had been the first day of freshman year, and boxing was the only extra curricular she was interested in. She’d even brought a change of clothes so she could try out or join or however it all worked. Okay, maybe her shorts were pink which suggested a lack of real interest, but she didn’t always have the money to buy what she wanted and had to rely on hand-me-downs. It wasn’t her fault that Danielle had pink cheerleading shorts that didn’t fit her anymore!
“Not until you let me try. You’re letting those cock suckers try and I could probably punch them out of the ring not even wearing gloves,” she quipped. She didn’t bat an eyelash, keeping her eyes focused on the coach.
“Fine, you really want to try?” the coach asked, he looked over at the boys who’d come out for it and pointed at the smallest one. “You,” he said, “get in the ring with her.” The boy looked apprehensive about this. He didn’t want to hit a girl.
“Aw! Come on!” she said. “You really want me to go against that pussy?” she scoffed. “Fine, whatever, I’ll take what I can get, but when I beat the shit out this guy, you’re gonna be giving me someone with some muscle,” she told him, as she grabbed some gloves and safety gear and made her way to the ring, ignoring the coach’s comment about her language. Clara climbed inside and looked over that the apprehensive boy. He was very hesitant so she knew she’d have to start it off, which she did, with a punch to the head. The more she hit the more the boy tried and the more he failed.
“Okay! Okay! That’s enough!” the coach finally yelled. The boy staggered, out of breath as he went to sit down on the small stool in the corner of the ring, embarrassed about getting torn apart by the petite, 5’3” 14 year old girl. “Yeah, so sorry if I can’t be on your team just cause I don’t got a dick, but it looks like he doesn’t have one either,” she told the coach, once again not even batting an eyelash.
“You’re in but check the language at the door,” the coach said and Clara just rolled her eyes. She had gotten what she wanted so she figured it was better not to push it, although she could totally see the other guys on the team silently groaning that she was now one of them.
