“Wise move about my cooking,” Wes replied with a wink. He knew it was beyond bad so was easily able to deal with any teasing.
Her family sounded seriously well off to him but no way would he ever call Lissa stuck up. He’d met plenty of girls who acted that way up in Whistler. Rich bitches who lived off daddy’s check book but not her. He didn’t get that feeling what so ever. The total opposite in fact. “Man, I’d love to go to Paris,” Wes said with a wry lift of his shoulders. “Maybe one day, eh?” The day he won the lottery, that is! “It looks an awesome place from what I’ve seen in books and on TV. I haven’t been anywhere other than BC and now here. That said, BC is a huge province and there’s a stack to see there. Jasper in summer is breath-taking but so different in winter... and the island... Now there’s a place I’ve explored pretty much from shore to shore. I have to admit I’d love to see Mexico and Egypt. Maybe tour Europe... oh, and Japan. That would be a cool place to see.”
He was rambling... and he knew it.
Wes laughed when she repeated her ‘hottie’ comment. He really didn’t see himself in that light but he had to admit he’d never been short of female company when he’d been in Canada. The case was a bit different now he was in LA though. Still, he hadn’t been here all that long and now school had started he’d hopefully meet some girls. Guys too... Wes wanted to have some male pals as well.
“You’d come with me to a game? That’s great, Lissa! If I’m with a stunner like you then I’m way less likely to get my head kicked in when I yell for the Canucks!” Wes laughed as he spoke. He was joking - he hoped! And besides, it would be great to go with Lissa. She was good company. “I’ll grab us a couple of tickets then,” he added.Watching a Canucks game *and* with a looker at his side? What could be better than that!
