Liz had laid a little mow this morning, even clad in the black leather skirt, sleeveless black blouse that hugged her curves and heeled Prada boots that hugged her calves up to just below the knee. She knew she looked good but she didn't go flaunting it at least. She'd moved through her morning, breaks and classes quietly, doing what she needed to do. The halls were loud with Prom chatter, hard to ignore.
The evening before had been good, running into an old mate from London, catching him, and though he was actually going to be her teacher next semester, it was nice to have someone from back home. It had been a while since she had seen Barnaby, but it had still been good. She had showed him how to get home from where he was, taking up on his offer for coffee, though, like a true Brit, she had gone for tea instead.
The bell had run for lunch break, and Liz scooted out of her class like she'd been shot. She needed to get to his locker. She couldn't get into it but she could do this. Pulling a perfect rose out of her bag, not fully bloomed but just before, a deep rich red color, just beautiful. Liz tucked the thorn less stem intoa small hole in the lock part before dashing over to her own locker, opening it and changing out her books for her afternoon classes. The Brit used the mirror attached to her locker door, next to pictures of she and Fefe together. They made her smile, and the mirror gave her the chance to look behind her toward his locker without her turning around!

Felipe strode purposefully away from his last lesson before lunch. Trigonometry. Never a particular favourite and he was glad the class was over. He wasn’t sure if LizBeth was around or able to spend lunch with him but he’d check at er locker and see if he could find her. He was checking his phone for a text message as he approached his locker and didn’t notice she was already there. He also only saw the flower at the last minute and as he reached up to turn the combination dial.
A rose? Not only that but a deep blood-red one. Just starting to open. He plucked it out of the lock and sniffed it gently. Perfectly perfumed as well... but who had left it there? The obvious - and first - name that came to mind was LizBeth’s... But what if Abby had left it there? It would be the sort of thing she’d do to try and embarrass him - in a nice way, of course. Or Sari? As thanks for agreeing to help her out with her art assignment. She seemed like she could do that sort of thing.
What if he thanked LizBeth, only to find out she knew nothing about it?
Awkward came to mind! But no... A rose. Red. It screamed romance. Surely it was form Liz...
He sniffed it again and smiled, sensing he was being watched. He spun around and saw her. “This is from you... isn’t it?” Better to make sure now than to make a total fool out of himself right away! She nodded. “It’s beautiful. I love it... Thank you... but what’s it for? My birthday isn’t until October!” he said on a laugh.

Liz was brushing a bit of her hair out of her eyes when she saw Felipe walk to his locker, picking up the rose. She couldn't help but smile as she saw the smile on his face, lifting the flower to inhale it's fragrance, one that she wore rather often as well...plus her middle name was Rose. She loved when he smiled like that. She really did.
He turned to face her, asking if she was the sender. Liz nodded, walking over across the hall to him. She smiled, glad that he had loved it. Good. "No real reason, just a small sign of my affection for my boyfriend, who is..incredibly patient with a slightly bitchy girlfriend." She smiled, picking a small hair from his shirt, dropping it to the ground before letting her hands rest on his waist. He definitely did not seem upset at her anymore. Good.
"So, wanna take off for lunch?" She asked. "We can hit that little cafe that you like...the one you took me to my first day here...my treat."

"Sure," he replied. Lunch out sounded good to him although he was still a little surprised by the flower. Wouldn't it die before he had a chance to place it in water? Hopefully it would last until school was over!
He slipped it into his locker and onto the top shelf where it would be safe and he dumped his pack on top of his PE kit on the bottom shelf. They wandered outside and he turned his face up towards the sky. "Thank god no rain," he breathed. He was already struggling to cope with the milder climate despite being told it was reasonably warm for Califoria. It was just... a different sort of warmth.
"So how was your morning?" he asked. "For myself I was propositioned," he added, telling LizBeth about his encounter with Sari. "She is interested in trying fencing as well. Perhaps I should start my own school, heh?" he suggested with a wink.

Liz had seen the slightly worried look on Felipe's face about leaving the rose in his locker. he had apparently missed the small plastic vial at the end of the stem that held enough water to keep the rose fresh till he could get it home.
She grinned aas he agreed to lunch out, she didn't really want to deal with cafeteria food that afternoon! Liz leaned against the locker next to his as he dumped his stuff. The couple headed outside, Fefe commenting on the lack of rain. She grinned. "When we had sun in London..it was rare." Liz laced her hand with his lightly. "Constant sunshine is an oddity to me really..I rather like it."
Liz looked over at him as they slowly walked across campus. "Mine was..quiet. Turned in the work from Tuesday, went to class..boring." She grinned. "Oh..neat..you get to sit for her...that's gonna be a good picture..you've got realaly good facial lines.." Liz had lifted her free hand, tracing those lines gently as she spoke. She wasn't upset at all that he hadn't asked her to sit for his project, though she would have done it in a heartbeat for him!
"YOu're still going to teach me to fence right?" she asked him lightly. "I mean..I still gotta get you up on one of the horses as well.."

He looked down at the path as LizBeth told him how her morning had gone. “Quiet is good,” he replied. “I have sport this afternoon and am praying that idiot coach will get out a ball of the correct shape for change! A game of proper football would make for a good start to his afternoon.
He had to admit he was surprised she was ok with him and Sari posing for each other but it was a relief not to have to fight over something else. They seemed to do that enough as it was! “Yes and also I mentioned it to Silver. She was in the video store last night. I mentioned that... right? We met a new boy to town. Jeffrey.” Felipe still got weird vibes from him but he knew that was only down to the fact that he seemed to know nothing about fencing after claiming he loved the sport. “Oh and Abby. I might see if I can get Kian to help out. It might make it easier to show everyone that way. Of course I’m still going to teach you, silly!” he added.
They wandered further towards the cafe. “I haven’t forgotten about the horse,” he said with a laugh. “Just make sure you give me a slow and very tame one!” He lanced sideways at Liz, something he’d thought about earlier coming into his head. “Are you planning a trip to England this summer? Ya know, to see your old friends and relatives?”

Liz smiled. "Now I'm tempted to skive off my afternoon lessons to come out and watch you." She nudged him gently with her shoulder as they walked. "Mmm or a good game of rugby..." The Brit sighed happily in thought.
"Silver?" Liz questioned, unaware of his friendship with a girl of that name. Not that it matters, she just didn't know her. "Umm...no you didn't really mention that." Liz told him, trailing off as he explained the meeting the night before. She nodded. "Goodness, sounds like you have a full class!" She teased him. "And you better still be teaching me. Hmm sounds kinda naughty, in a relationship with the teacher!" She looked up at him, sticking out her tongue playfully at him.
"I'd say come over today after school to ride, but you'd end up using inner thigh muscles you don't normally..and you'd be sore for Prom tomorrow night.." She lifted his hand, the one that was entwined with hers, kissing it gently. "Yes yes, I'll give you a pony to try..and you can watch me ride a big, strong stallion.." There was a mischievous little glitter to her eyes as she teased him. "Come over anyway if you're free..we can swim, have dinner, kick back before busy day tomorrow.."
Liz shook her head when he asked if she was planning on returning to Rngland for a visit. "I don't think so...I don't really have any relatives there now..and I wasn't really close to anyone there since I spent more time at school then anything." She explained. "I was thinking of kicking around the beach, maybe a trip out for a couple of weeks. You could come with me, 2 weeks away...Aruba, or maybe Baja so we are closer here?" She looked over at him. "Could consider it your graduation pressie from me.." Liz paused for a second. "Of if you can't do 2 weeks...how about a weekend away?"

"I hate rugby," he stated with a pained look on his face. It was so brutal. Football - proper football - was so much better! Felipe laughed at her teacher comment. "Don't worry," he assured her, "... I will ask Kian to teach you then you wouldn't be doing any wrong... would you?" More so as Kian was openly gay.
"Pretty sure I'm free after school... I don't think I have any chores but you should wait and see if you have any homework first. It's not like you will have time to do it on Saturday and probably won't feel like doing it the day after that!"
He listened attentively as she answered his question about a possible trip back to England in the summer. He'd have thought she would have jumped at the chance as LizBeth had made no secret of how much she hated her new 'home'.
He laughed at her trip idea. "Right... because the pixies will sort out my placement for next term and do my foil-work. I'm trying to move up a level, remember?" he said with a small smile. "And anyway, you don't need to give me a present for graduating. I don't expect anything and never would." A weekend... A possibility. "I would have to see how everything went," he replied. "I mean, it sounds nice but my summer is going to be full. It's being difficult finding the right course and I can't afford to make a mistake. That's not ging to stop you from going, though. I'm sure you have friends you could meet up with... haven't you? I mean, I'm not the only person you know! And you could always send me a postcard... right?"
She looked disappointed. "I'll think about it," he added, "... but definitely no promises." In truth Felipe felt pretty sure it wouldn't happen but LizBeth probably didn't need to know that!
"here we are," he stated and he stepped back to let Liz walk into the cafe ahead of him...

They spent a good hour in the cafe before leaving... lunch break being over. The pair headed back to schyool, each going their own way and making for their afternoon classes.
All in all a nice hour spent with LizBeth but Felipe had to admit that she'd been a bit on thw quiet side... Something on her mind? Perhgaps. He assumed he'd find out eventually.
