Pippa sat in front of her vanity mirror doing the finishing touches on her makeup. While her makeup at school tended to be muted compared to her going out looks, she still always wore it. Pippa refused to leave the house without makeup, even if she was running a small errand or even going to the gym. She always wanted to look her best because you never knew who you'd run into...
Applying one last layer of gloss on her full lips, Pippa stood up and made her way to her full length mirror where she could check out her entire appearance. Her hair was down and her makeup perfect. She was dressed in a pair of faux leather leggings (since it was impossible to make leather stretch), a loose fitting sheer white top, layered over a very fitted white tank, and black ankle boots with little studs around the top. She looked very fashion forward.
Pleased with this, she grabbed her favorite purse of the moment which was a black Dior bag that she'd saved up for, for ages. While the Dashwood-Dunes were by no means poor, it wasn't as if Pippa could go around buying $800 purses all the time, but she had saved up for and was pleased with the few she had, often switching them out with cheaper yet still very trendy purses to keep her look fresh.
Heading downstairs, she could smell breakfast cooking from the kitchen. The smell of bacon was tempting, but prom was tomorrow and Pippa needed her dress to fit her like a glove. She'd stick to fruit and salads until after tomorrow.
However, before she could quite make it downstairs, she quite literally ran into her sister. Oh, how annoying. Pippa took a step back and breathed in as she looked over Lexi, who was also ready for school. "Oh, Little Lexi," she said. "You really must pay more attention to where you are going...is that really what you're planning to wear today?" she asked giving Lexi a look.

Choosing a simple loose black top and jeans with her worn sneakers, Lexi made sure to get ready before Pip woke up. She knew how long a process it took for her twin to look as pretty as she did every day. Once she was done, she went downstairs to find her mother cooking a big breakfast with hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, bacon strips, bagels and fruits. "Mom...looks good." Lexi grinned, elongating the last syllable. She was in an extra good mood that day because tomorrow, she was going to the prom with Wynn Sumner. It wasn't love but Lexi felt good anyway. They got along well and she was sure he liked her at least as much as she liked him. And they were going to prom!
Her dress was a simple sleeveless dress that flared down to a little below her knees. She thought it was prom appropriate and the shoes she was going with was pretty awesome too. She hoped Wynn would like it. Blushing a little as she thought of Wynn looking at her in that way he does, Lexi grabbed a bagel and started slathering some cream cheese on it. "You have a look," her mom said suddenly. "I don't have a look. You're seeing things." Lexi looked up and grinned. "You do. You have a look!" she laughed and ruffled Lexi's already messy hair. Lexi laughed too before remembering something.
"Augh...gotta get my book bag. Save some bacon for me before dad comes down." Lexi teased and bounded up the stairs only to bump into Pip. Her condescending tone didn't even deter Lexi from the huge grin on her face. She was just way too happy right then. Of course, Pip always had a way with her words and Lexi knew she was going to be upset sooner or later into this conversation.
"It's a classic look. And I look good. So yes, this is really what I plan to wear to school today." She shrugged, biting into her bagel.

What perhaps annoyed Pippa even more than her sister's lack of fashion sense and lack of any sense in general was her apparent 'I don't care' attitude about it all. Pippa just could not relate to this on any level. How could someone not care what they looked like, or what kind of freaks they attracted? Let alone someone that was not only related to her...but her twin!! We're twins supposed to be all inseparable and all that like on TV? Pippa didn't really care that they weren't the closest of twins but she did care that the way Lexi carried herself scarred the Dashwood-Dune name. Oh wait, she didn't care... As long as people knew how amazing she was of course.
With an apparent roll of her eyes, Pippa let out a sigh. "Oh Little Lexi, you'll never learn will you," she said shaking her head. "And a bagel? Have fun zipping up your prom dress tomorrow, but perhaps not fitting into it is a good thing then you wouldn't be able to go with that loser Winston or whatever," Pippa said.
"Bored now," she then said, which was something Pippa often did when she was talking to someone who she felt was beneath her. "I'm gonna grab a banana and head to school. Have fun on the bus," she smirked as she flounced down the stairs and headed into the kitchen, leaving Lexi in her wake.
Once in the kitchen, Pippa grabbed her fruit and leaned back against the kitchen counter as her mother continued to cook and she had to explain why she wasn't going to eat any of it.

Lexi didn't bat an eye as Pippa got all high and mighty in her 'Pippa knows best' mode. She opened the halves of the bagel and licked the cream cheese purposely, making satisfied sounds and moaning about how delicious it was before stuffing the whole thing in her mouth. "Dude, his name's Wynn." She said with bagel bits flying around from her mouth. Lexi grinned at Pippa who looked horrified.
As Lexi chewed, Pippa announced her leave and Lexi, still in her good mood, swallowed her bagel, stepped aside and gestured to the stairs with a sweep of her hands. "Oh after you Fraulein Schnitzelbrat." She said under her breath but giving Pippa a huge grin. "You go grab that chemically produced fruit which would probably add another ounce of fat in your already flabby body." It was mean for Lexi to say something like that but there wasn't anyone stopping her.
"At least I can live with the fact that I'm fatter than you. Can you?" She raised an eyebrow before walking to her own room and grabbing her bag. She went downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed several strips of bacon to which her mother laughed at. "Save some for dad and Raissa."
"Russia doesn't eat, just like our beloved Pippi here and dad would just drink your pot of deliciously hot coffee and set off. I'm doing you a favour mama." Lexi grinned, snacking on the bacon strips before turning to Pippa with a wink. "Look Pippi, I'm eating fats. Yum."
"Stop calling your sister Pippi, Lexi." Her mother warned. She grinned sheepishly and shrugged. "Bye mom," she kissed her mom's cheek. "I'll go to work straight after school tonight." Lexi promised before leaving for school.

Pippa was indeed horrified when her sister pretty much shoved a bagel in her mouth whole. Disgusting!! She just glared at Lexi when she went on about the chemicals in fruit. "Are you seriously going to start complaining about a few chemicals they use to grow fruit when all that processed food you it probably has way more shit in it?" she asked, shaking her head. She ignored Lexi's comment about being flabby because anyone who looked at her knew that that wasn't true. Pippa was anything from fat. And truth be told, so was Lexi, but that didn't mean that precautions shouldn't be taken to keep it that way. Especially, with prom coming up. Pippa wasn't always this bad...she'd eat bacon and other things, she just didn't over do it. Once in the haven of the kitchen, she had to roll her eyes when Lexi walked in. Was it really impossible to get some peace? But no, Lexi seemed intent on grossing Pippa out, shoving bacon down in throat in handfuls. "Why do you have to be so disgusting?" Pippa whined a little. Usually Pippa would just take charge, but in this case the whining worked because her mother easily jumped to her aid, correcting Lexi for calling her Pippi which she hated. Pippa just groaned when Lexi took off. "I just don't get her sometimes," she said to her mother. She finished off the juice she'd been drinking and grabbed her banana to go as she headed off to school herself. Getting behind the wheel of her lime green VW, she smirked as she saw Lexi walking down the street. She beeped loudly behind her just to scare her. "Have fun taking the bus, loser," she said to herself as she sped by her, the music blasting the newest pop hit on the radio. Wrapped
