Like Nate. Jay hated his monkey suit. Yet it looked good on him. he couled wear a trash bag and it would look good on him. Jay was very pleased. He was looking forward to losing the jacket and ties as soon as he could. Yet he was even more looking forward to seeing Sandy. He wondered how nicely the fresman would look. He found Trixie before she headed to Dj and had a little chat. which served to get him a slap upside the head from Nate. "Traitor." Jay said. Nate smiled, "Please put the gloves away." Jay just snorted and smiled. "You keep the glove on." He winked. Nate just shook his head and patted Jay on the shoulder. He knew what glove the man was talking about and Nate had some. Jay headed down the stairs after Trixie left. His Nana stopped him. "Jayson please. Be nice." Jay smiled. "I always am Nana." He gave the old woman a kiss on the cheek and headed to the limo.Soon it pulled up to Sandy's house. Jay had the crosage in his hand and gotout heading to the door, ringing the door bell. "Now Jackson be nice to the young man!" Dixie scolded her husband before going upstairs to help Sandy get ready.
"I'll be nice, I'll just throw on my gorilla face!" he called back as the door bell rang. Jackson put on the most severe scowl he could before opening the door. "You must be the young man here for Sandy, come in. She'll be down in a minute."
He waited for Jay to come inside. "I just have a warning for you. This is a big date for her and her older brother will be keeping a close eye on her and if I hear that she sheds one tear over you, I will make your death look like an accident." There was that pause to make one wonder if he was kidding or not.
"Oh for heaven's sake Jackson, don't scare the boy!" Dixie said coming down the stairs. "Don't let him scare you, he's just over reacting." She looked at her watch. "And don't you need to be at the pizza parlor?"
Jackson nodded. "Remember what I told you." He did the "my eyes will be on you" motion" before heading out.
Dixie rolled her eyes. "I swear that man." She sighed before hearing Sandy.
"I'm ready mom."
She stood at the top of the stairs, in the mint green dress, her hair done up with a couple strands curled and hanging down. She descended the stairs, feeling like Eliza Doolittle making her debut in 'My Fair Lady'.
"Hi Jay!" She said shyly.
Dixie smiled. "What a sight. I need a couple pics before you go!" She put the two together, including the placing of the corsage. "You two have fun, you have fun tonight!" Dixie waved goodbye, a small tear rolling down her cheek.

Jay loosened the tie slightly cause it felt like it was chocking him. Really, who ever came up with having to wear a tux to the prom needed to be shot. It was horrible. Even if he looked damn good. Jay was smiling. He had a girl who would adore him on his arm. That should show Wynn and Lexi. No one got Jay and kept him down, he always bounced back, and it didn't hurt that Sandy was cute.
"Mr. Meyers." Jay nodded and stepped inside. He just started at sandy's dad for a moment trying to figure out if he was being serious or not. He felt like an anime character when they got that big sweat tear on their head after something happened. The one that just appeared. Jay felt like he had that. He shifted and cleared his throat resembling a man in an interrogation room. Thank god for mothers.
He took one look at Sandy and was floored. He gently placed the crosage on her wrist and kissed her hand, "You look lovely. Who knew I would be lucky to have the Belle of the ball as my date." He smiled and posed for some pictures. He offered her his arm. "Our ride awaits." He said bringing Sandy out to the Limo.

Sandy felt like giggling like a little girl. Yes she had ridden in limos when Greg had appearances and events but those times didn't count. She wasn't in the spotlight but tonight she was the princess!
"Jay, you shouldn't have done this." She blushed slightly as she entered the limo and looked around at the inside. They seemed bigger when she was little for some reason. "But its wonderful!"
Once they were on their way, Sandy spoke up once again. "I hope my dad didn't get on you too much, he's just looking out for me. Ever since that catastrophe with Tyler he's been on the warpath." She shifted so she could face him. "I tried to tell him that I learned my lesson but I suppose if he didn't do anything it wouldn't seem right. Does that make sense? Am I talking too much?" She was still nervous about being seen with an upperclass man. "Sorry if I am."

"As my date you deserve the best." He helped her into the limo then took his seat next to her. He wouldn't know about over protective fathers. His father was an ass and he never had that protection. he still didn't. Jay did the protecting. However, he kept a smile on his face. "He was fine, just looking out for his daughter, I can hardly blame him. She is gorgeous." Jay said smoothly.
"You can talk all you want. Its interesting. I would rather you talk too much then be all shy and quiet." He told her. Of course Jay knew about the whole cafeteria kiss and stuff. He didn't dare comment. He just nodded, "Well Tyler is Tyler...its his loss really." He told Sandy. "Tell me a little more about yourself? This is a date so we should get to know each other."
