He shook his head, "Lets stop talking about Blake, we can talk about this tomorrow if you want to. Right now we should be enjoying an evening of meals and proms in that order. Tomorrow you can meet the mothers if you want my dads wouldn't mind a proper introduction either. Thats when you can get really confused, remember which one of each I call what." he said with a smile.
Kenzie smiled as Lana settled into his lap he wrapped his arms around her his hands resting in her lap, "I'll take you up their after graduation, I have to organise a horse box for him anyway. I don't want to leave him here in LA while I am home." Kenzie said. "My pet my responsibility before you ask, I asked to bring him here to I organise him going back." Kenzie told her.
"Its cool though because I'd hate to have to rent a horse from one of the local stables, its not the same as having a horse that you have known all of its life and grown up with. The one I have hear, I watched him being born on the property. Feisty thing he was to, up and about before any of us knew about it." Kenzie explained smiling brightly.
"We'll be at the restaurant soon." Kenzie said to her looking out of the window wistfully. "I am looking forward to getting out of this crazy city already, home seems so far away right now." Kenzie said with a shake of the head. "I love you." Kenzie said putting words to actions for the first time and admitting what he already knew.

Lana was more then happy to stop talking about her brother, she was still pissed off from the day before honestly, and she refused to allow him to ruin her night as well. She smiled, definitely ready to meet both sets of his parents the next day. She couldn't wait.
It was really great to hear him talk about responsibility, even if it was just a pet. She knew people who never took responsibility for anything, so this was great. "Just a few more weeks and we are free for the summer...I can't wait..I knwo I feep saying that..but I really can't." She smiled.
Lana couldn't help but smile softly as he went on about his horse, not that she minded really. she loved hearing him talk about anything. Yeah, she was a young woman in love, and he could have blathered on about dirt and she'd listen.
"Good, I'm starving.." Lana replied, turning to look at him as she heard him say something. Her eyes widened slightly as she let it sink in. "YOu do?" She asked, biting her lower lip. Yeah she had just told him the same thing, but hearing it...it was amazing. "I love you too.."

Kenzie grinned, "Your going to love it, no Blake for a couple of months and maybe you two can cool down a bit." Kenzie said to her with a smile on his face. He had heard about the spat in the cafeteria the other day, he was amazed that her brother had said some of the things that he had said. Actually he thought all of it was outrageous but he couldn't really say that without accepting what would probably be the mother of all dressing downs. "Or he can cool down before I have to kick his ass again for hurting you." Kenzie said to her with a shake of his head.
"And yes I love you, how could I not..." Kenzie said to Lana. "The rest of the family will grow on me with time I hope." Kenzie added with a smile.
He hugged his girlfriend holding her close to him as he did so, "It gets better, it just takes time." Kenzie said to her. "You can't see it yet but it does, you wouldn't believe the arguments and the fights and anger my family went through while I was ill." Kenzie said to her with a shake of the head. "If their is anything I can do to help besides date you let me know okay." Kenzie said to her. "Now we are coming up on our destination so get your stuff together, we are talking sheep and hills for the next hour or so... talk of Blake is out of the window." Kenzie said to her.
"Most beautiful girl is on my arm tonight and I'm talking about her brother, we need a bottle of wine and a great meal to get through the night. Then you me and some pizza and hotel rooms." Kenzie said to her. "And maybe we can discuss where you want to go for the other half of summer break, I normally do skiing in New Zealand because its winter over there right now." Kenzie said to her. "Or we could go to Paris or Rome two of the most beautiful and romantics cities in the world... shopping sun and night clubbing, maybe some sight seeing in between." he added.

"You know what...if he goes off at either of us again..you have my full and expressed permission to kick his ass." Lana smiled, reaching up and brushing a stray lock of Kenzie's dark hair off of his forehead. She couldn't help but smile again as he confirmed that he did love her, and his hope that the remainder of her family would grow on him. "yes, just like a fungus.." She teased softly, settling into his lap when he pulled her closer.
"I hope so...things have just..gotten so bad Kenz..I don't know what else can go wrong at home." She said softly, laying her head on his shoulder for a moment, just breathing him in, the smell of his cologne, the faint scent of his body wash and shampoo. She tightened her grip on him slightly when he mentioned his bout with cancer, not sure what she would do if it were ever to strike him again. She'd definitely not leave, that was for damn sure! "Good, I'm starving." She smiled, moving to get her small clutch from the seat next to them.
"Deal, no more talk about you know who..." She stated, hearing him talk about plans for the evening. Lana's blue eyes met his dark ones as he mentioned hotel rooms, chewing softly on her lower lip for a moment. Did that mean he wanted do...? Was she ready? yeah, she was. She knew she loved him. "Uh..." She stammered for a moment, trying to think about where she wanted to go for the 2nd half of their summer together. "You know what...I'm gonna let you surprise me...you take mw..wherever you want.."
