Izzy was excited about Prom. She needed to find the perfect dress and already it was two days before prom and she had nada. That was a lie she had a back up dress, but she was hoping for something different. Something that was not plain and boring like the simple blue dress she had at home. Izzy was never normally like this. She did not always care so much about dressing up. She always thought she looked good, but this was prom and she just wanted to find the perfect dress. Yes she was a junior and had another year, but that was besides the point. It was still prom no matter what was said. Besides she wanted to look good for Taki. They had been dating for about three months now and it was important. So she decided it was time to once again go dress shopping. It was a shop for both dresses and tuxedos. Dresses on one side, tux's on the other and a central location with a few mirrors were both sides would meet to check themselves out. It wasn't too bad. Izzy found quite a few dresses to try on. Yet she still didn't like any of them. She wished her mom could be here for this one. It was one of those things she missed. Her mom might have not always been around, but when it came to girl stuff her mom was there. Not to mention her mom always seemed to know how to find the best dresses. Izzy shook the thoughts from her head as she grabbed a red halter dress and began to shimmy into it. She pulled it up and noticed the cleavage, but it was not too bad actually. She walked out into the central location and checked herself out in the full body mirror and something about the dress just popped out at Izzy. "I think this is the one." She said more to herself. But she also noticed she was not alone. She smiled at the person next to her. "I think I found the perfect prom dress." She said smiling. "What about you, find everything you were looking for?" She could only imagine they were in the same boat she was. (The dress Izzy is trying on www.promgirl.com/shop/dresses/viewitem-PD214508)

Eden didn't really have any plans for the evening. She'd mostly been just hanging out at home when she'd gotten a text from Jett saying that Izzy was sort of still freaking out over the whole dress thing. She and Izzy had gone dress shopping about a week ago and had both bought dresses, however while Eden thought that she had found the absolute perfect one, she knew that Izzy hadn't been thrilled with her choice. Still, Eden had been busy with other things too and had sort of forgotten about Izzy's dress issue, especially since she had purchased one. That was until Jett had mentioned something.
He'd also told Eden where Izzy would be so it was very easy to find her. And very lucky that she hadn't tired of the store she had chosen and tried another. Walking into the store, was Izzy looked absolutely gorgeous in the dress she had on, Eden was a bit more grungy in a pair of intentionally ripped up skinny jeans, a fitting tank top, and her long blonde hair pulled back loosely in a ponytail. After all, she had just been laying around the house since school.
"I think you did too," Eden said, grinning at her friend. "No, I actually have all my stuff...someone might have sent me over here to help you out with the dress thing," she admitted, "but it looks like I was too late and that you've already found it," she said, "unless there is still more that you want to try on," she told her best friend. Eden really did her best to hang out with Izzy, who she still very much considered her best friend, however now that the girls both had boyfriends as well as different interests it was hard sometimes. Still, Eden was glad that they could still do things like dress shop together, since even though Eden had gotten much better at the whole fashion thing, she was sure Izzy was probably better. After all, Eden probably would have never found her dress if it wasn't for her friend.

"I am glad I did. I have been here for almost three hours. I mean the dress we picked out was nice, but none of it screamed look at me I guess. I don't know what I am going for, but I love this dress.' Izzy walked over and hugged Eden. "I am glad you showed up. I think I was driving the people here insane asking fifty times if this looks good. I just want Taki to look at me and go 'wow' you know." Sure he did that already, but she just wanted to...for lack of a better term, wow him.
Who knows where the night may lead. "Are you staying over night in the hotel. i know Jett was considering getting a room for the four of us and Ben and whomever he brings. I hope he goes. I mean i know Ben and dances, but it would be nice to have him come along." Izzy didn't mind, she just hated to have Ben feeling left out.
"Did you ever think we would be going to prom? I know we have it again next year, but still. I remember last year begging Jett to take me and him saying no. At least I like his date better this year." Izzy said joking as she lightly bumped Eden. "I will be right back." Izzy disappeared to remove the dress and redress in her clothes. She re emerged with her things. "Any plans for today? If not I am stealing you."

"3 hours really?" Eden said. "You should have told me...it wasn't like I was doing anything," she admitted. "But I guess after 2 1/2 was when Jett started to worry," Eden said with a shrug. It was still weird talking to Izzy where Jett was concerned. One would think it would feel normal by now...and it wasn't as if anyone made a huge deal over it all anymore, but it still felt strange to Eden. Maybe she was still getting used to it all.
"Well, I think you'll have no problem wowing him in something like that," Eden said to her best friend. Taki was such a nice guy and Eden was so glad that Izzy had him. "Hotel...not sure," she said. "I mean, I would, its just that I have to get up pretty early the next morning since Ben and I are giving a surf lesson to Felipe," Eden explained. "I mean, I'm not going to lie, morning after prom it will suck to get up early but I might have pushed for it a little to annoy that Liz girl," Eden said. She of course had recanted the entire story about Liz and Felipe and how they had met them. "At least Ben is over that girl," Eden said, shaking her head and not wanting to think about the girl that had become her enemy.
"I really don't think Ben will go to prom though," Eden said, although it wasn't as if she'd really pushed him to go or anything either. "He doesn't want to go alone and he won't ask anyone random cause he says he wouldn't have fun unless he went with a friend," Eden shrugged, half wondering if Sloane had a date since they had just reconnected with her. She probably did though.
"No, honestly I thought if we went that we'd end up being each other's dates," Eden admitted. "Yeah, well, Jett did actually ask me last year too, only last year it had been a joke," she said with a smirk. Eden nodded when Izzy said that she'd be right back. She kind of walked around, aimlessly looking and random accessories and whatnot until Izzy reemerged. "Right now I'm good...do have some plans a little later, but for now I can totally hang out," she said with a smile. "Why you need a new pair of shoes now to go with the new dress?" Eden teased a little, although if what she was true, she'd go along with Iz to find them no problem.

"I told Jett I would be back in an hour. So his worrying is not s surprise. I had a few missed calls from Jett when i just checked." Izzy said returning fully clothed now. "As for Ben I am glad he is over that Liz girl too. I mean i don't know her so i won't judge, but Ben is my best friend and i don't like when he is played." Izzy said. Again she would not judge, but it was Ben.
"There is no friends we know of that he can go with?" Izzy asked. "I guess there is always next year for his senior prom. I just feel bad he is not going." Izzy truly did. Izzy said to Eden. "Surfing lessons huh. And here I almost thought that was a code for something, but I know you and surfing. You are about as inseparable as you and Jett sometimes." Izzy was glad her brother and best friend were happy. Sure it was weird but she was happy.
"All we need to do is find Ben a girl and we can triple date." She said laughing. "I have the shoes, but thanks anyway. I was thinking more along the lines of maybe dinner." She asked hoping Eden had time for that. "Anything new to dish about?"

Eden laughed, "Figures," she said. "I think if I told Ben I'd be back in an hour and didn't come home for three that he'd be too high to notice, or even if he did, he wouldn't be sending out the search parties," she said. Sure, Ben cared a great deal about Eden, but he'd always been less attentive that Jett was, at least when it came to keeping tabs on her, which up until recently had never been an issue anyway. "Seriously," Eden said about Liz, "at least she hasn't done anything...yet, but who knows. I've had my eyes peeled," she said. After all, Liz had threatened them and while nothing had been done, Eden still didn't trust that they were safe. She usually wasn't a paranoid person, but she didn't trust that little British bitch one bit.
Eden shrugged. "I dunno," she said. "I honestly don't think he cares though. I think he already made plans to hang out with Gray and smoke up that night," she said with a slight laugh, "but whatever, he does have next year still, so its not like he's completely missing ouy," she added quickly. Izzy had of course heard about the Gray thing too and while really not much had happened between Eden and him, she still didn't really like to talk about it. Plus, Ben didn't know about it, which was probably a good thing. Eden really had never thought that she'd ever turn into such a secretive person but anyway she felt like there were some things that were better left unsaid.
Eden made a face when Izzy referred to her and Jett as inseparable. Eden still wasn't comfortable with the whole being a couple with Jett thing. It was one thing when it was just the two of them but it was another when they actually had to admit they were together. It was strange...Eden cared about Jett a lot, like really a lot, but she was still having trouble admitting it. It was like she didn't want to have to be the first to...she wanted him to do all the work...say it first. After all, the last thing she needed was to admit how strong her feelings were only to have him say that he didn't feel the same way. When it came down to it, that was probably what she was afraid of.
Eden laughed though when Izzy mentioned the triple date thing, "Come on...can you imagine Ben on a real date?" she asked, knowing that her brother had never been very proper when it came to the whole dating thing. He was as far from an old fashioned sort of guy as they came. She'd seen him 'date' girls before and it had always ended up in them calling and him blowing them off. It was probably why he'd never had a real relationship before.
"But yeah, I do have time for dinner...well I'll make time since I'm pretty positive that the fridge at home is empty again," she said lightly. Izzy knew very well that Ben and Eden pretty much lived off of take out. "Nothing too new," she said. "Tonight we're hanging out with Sloane Taylor...I know you and Jett never hung out with her much as kids but Ben and I used to all the time. Ran into her the other day at the pier and got to talking," she said with a shrug. "Made plans to watch a movie tonight. Nothing really interesting though," she told Izzy. "What about you?" she asked as she walked over with Izzy to the register so she could pay for the dress and they could head out and get some food.

"Stranger things have happened. i think Ben on a real date would be very interesting. can't blame me for wanting to see it for myself." Izzy joked. "Grayson Shepard?" Izzy asked. She just nodded. Izzy didn't hold that incident against Eden mostly cause she knew her and Jett had not been official. They only part about it Izzy had not liked was being left out. She always though Eden told her everything. But apparently some secrets were still kept.
"I don't think Sloane has ever really talked to me. I am shocked Jett doesn't hang around her. She is popular." Izzy never really hung out with the popular girls unless she was with jett. But the cheerleaders and stuff and Izzy never hung out alone. She knew Sloane was not a cheerleader, but last Izzy check she hung out with Bree and Bree was a cheerleader. "I have no plans. So not sure what I am going to be doing tonight." That was not surprise. Unless Jett dragged her out or she had a date with Taki Izzy was a home body.
"So lets fill you up on so much food you take some home to share. cause you know we have to get take out for Ben and we should get something for Sloane. I don't know what she would want." Izzy didn't want to send Eden home with food for Ben and not for their guest that was coming over later. "Come on I am in a mood to pig out despite Prom being a few days away." Izzy had a huge smile on her face. "It's nice to hang out just the two of us."

Eden laughed. "No, I can't. I bet it would be interesting if that happened...but I wouldn't want to. I like Ben being Ben," Eden said, simply nodding about Gray and not wanting to get into it. She was glad that Izzy didn't press the issue either and that Jett never really mentioned it much either. The whole ordeal had been a bit of an embarrassment really.
"Yeah, I guess she does hang out with that crowd," Eden shrugged. "I hadn't talked to her in years until the other day," Eden said, "even when I had classes...but I dunno, hanging out the other day was fun," she said. Sure, Sloane had a bit of a reputation but Eden honestly didn't know which things were true and which things were not, so she didn't plan to hold anything against her based on rumors.
"Yeah I can always text Ben and see if they need food," Eden said with a shrug. "Let's not worry about it now though," she said, "we'll get food first and hang out for a bit," she said. "What kind of food do you want? Why don't we do Chinese or something really unhealthy?" she asked with a laugh. "If we're going to pig out, might as well make it extra delicious," Eden grinned. After all, Eden was stick thin and so was Izzy so it wasn't as if either of them had to worry. Of the joys of being 16 with an amazing metabolism.
