Prom, prom, prom. That was all she heard about. The giggles and the talking all revolved around this stupid little dance where people dressed up just so they could end up in a hotel or something later. Prom was also the leading cause of teen pregnancy cause for some reason, something about prom screamed not to use protection. Idiots. Trixie was sick of hearing about prom. What was the big deal? It was just a dance. But Trixie remembered her attempt to dump DJ. Her horrible attempt cause DJ had once again gotten the best of her and ended up in her room touching her, and convincing her that it was stupid to dump him. Damn that man and his manipulative abilities. Trixie was suppose to squash men like little bugs, not fall so head over heels that she was looking forward to Prom, no matter how much the chit chat was annoying her. Trixie knew what was going on. She knew what was happening. Those walls she had put up so long ago were crumbling. They were coming down. Her bitchy facade and her ice queen exterior were melting away. Trixie felt bare, scared and emotional. Something she had not felt in a very long time. Of course Trixie was not one for dealing with emotions really well. So logically it led her to freaking out and of course like an idiot instead of just talking to DJ she was at a bar ordering a drink with her fake ID. Cause she was not ready to talk yet. She couldn't talk. Trixie did not trust words when around DJ. Cause three little words were so close to being said. No doubt tonight would lead her to DJ's place. A drunken call to his cell phone. A drunken text. She already sent one to DJ. Her text read like this..."Out, you know where to find me of course." She only ever went to one bar. Trixie was sitting at the bar sipping her drink as she ate stale pretzels. At least here you would not find people talking about love, or prom or any other teen romance crap. Trixie knew she had it good, she had a good guy and she should be happy. Deep down Trixie was happy which was why she was so upset and pissed off. She didn't think she deserved to be happy, but she was. It just put her in a bad mood. Yeah, try and figure that out. She was ignoring most of the people around her until someone thought it was a good idea to sit right next to her. "I would not sit there is I were you." She said not even looking at who it was.

Xavier entered the bar, flashing is fake ID around like he was some cop with a badge, most everyone just ignored him. He sauntered up to the bar like he owned the place. "MGD draft." He ordered sliding a bill to the bartender.
"Oh excuse me mister Rockafeller, your order will be right up." The barback grunted.
Xavier rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah Mac, get the lead out." When finally got his drink he left a dollar for the barback, who replied with a, "Ohhh look at Daddy Warbucks there!"
Xavier had his back turned but mouthed the word "Fuck you" then moved around trying to find a seat. He found one next to a hot brunette, who had an icy cold attitude.
He sat anyway. "You make me feel as welcome as a fat man at an all you can eat buffet!" His smarm was evident. "So what is a hot number like you doing in this dump?" He sipped his beer as he waited for a reply.

Trixie turned toward the voice and he looked so familiar she just could not place him. "Oh I don't know, waiting for guys like you to just say the most cliche lines so I can fall all over you for it." Trixie said sarcastically. "Probably the same as you." She held the drink up and sipped it. She motioned for another one from the bartender. "I am escaping reality." She told him.
"Wait...now I remember you. You are the gay guy that helped me when I was crying that one day." It was a few months ago when Trixie had dumped DJ for a few minutes and she ran into Xavier who had given her a hug and she was convinced he was gay. "How ya been?" She asked.
She took another shot of yeager and sighed. "I think I am done for the night. Any more and someone will have to carry me out of here." She said laughing. Oh DJ would not be thrilled. Nope. Not at all. Oh well, she didn't see him around now did she. Although she hated herself for wanting him around, but she loved it too. Talk about being confused. For now she would just talk to the gay guy.

"Me? Nah, I just came to relax and to check out any eye candy that might be around." He eyed her carefully, like a man figuring the best cut of steak. "Ahh yes escaping the real world by seeing the bottom of a glass, been feeling like that myself with all this prom talk."
He arched an eyebrow. "Wait a sec, I'm not..." he cut off his words, this could work out to his advantage. "I'm doing alright, just chillin'." He gave a dirty look to the barback when Trixie said Xavier was gay.
Xavier put on a pouting face. "What done already? But I just got here, I need someone to drink with me and guy watch." He cringed internally at that last statement. If his grandfather had heard him say that, there would have been no sitting for a week, if not longer.
"C'mon, whatever you want, it'll be on me."

"Prom doesn't bother me so much as the feelings that go with it. Thats usually when people get all cheesy and decide to profess their undying love and crap. It's like you slap on a certain title to a dance and everyone begins to act like love sick puppies." Trixie commented. She kind of was one of those love sick puppies, she just refused to admit it.
Trixie eyed him for a moment. "I guess a few more drinks won't hurt. I will just need to take a cab home or to DJ's place. Although I might have to go home, not sure DJ would approve of me showing up too drunk. Then again i took a cab here so, I guess I was planning on drinking." Trixie said with a shrug and motioned to the bartender.
"Okay since you are buying how about we see just what you can handle." Trixie was pretty good about holding her liquor. She was not too drunk, but she wasn't sober either right now and she ordered two shots of 1800 with salt, lime and cranberry juice as a chaser.

Xavier downed a shot of Cherry Pucker as Trixie carried on about prom and all the hell that went with it. He winced after swallowing.
"Not to defend the prom or anything, but its sort of a passing the torch, so to speak. The seniors say goodbye, the juniors get to take over. Really sucks if you don't have a date though."
DJ...why did that name ring a bell? Xavier was trying to think of when he first met Trixie. Besides himself and Jay was that big wall of a...oh shit! That was the last person Xavier wanted to tangle with.
"I could take you home, no sweat. I'll just call for my driver, so we can both sit back and relax. I could even take you to see DJ if you wanted." He hated to say that but if she thought he was gay then he had to go along with it, or until she passed out.
He was impressed with what she ordered. Down went the shot, followed by the salt, lime and the chaser. "Mmmm--mmmm, you know how to chose your drinks."

"Then it won't suck for me. My guy convinced me to go." Trixie told Xavier. "Can i tell you a secret? I wanted him to convince me. I want to go." She told the man as she took one last shot and told the bartender she was done for the night. "Any more and I won't be able to stand." She said joking. Well was it really a joke if it was on the verge of the truth.
"YOu will take me to DJ"S. great. let me just text him." She pulled out her phone and drunkenly text DJ. "Hey babe. A little drunk. The gay man Xavier from school is giving me a ride to your place. See u soon. -Trix."
Trixie replaced her phone. "Okay I am not sure he will want me there drunk, but we will see. If worse you just take me home. So where is this car?" She asked. Trixie stood up. Okay so she was not that drunk. She shouldn't be driving, but she was not about to fall over. Pass out maybe. Trixie ahd not drunk as much as she normally did and that was a surprise for her.
