Reagan was oddly glad she had finished her homework the night before. So far that day there was no new homework she would have to complete. Maybe she would do something out of the usual and actually do something besides stick her nose in a book to hide out tonight. Meeting Ben at the cafe had been refreshing for a while but she had her best friend.
Taking her book bag from the floor and flinging it over her shoulder she made her way into the mass of students flooding the halls waiting just outside Greenlee's classroom til she made her way out as well to where Reagan was standing and made their way to their lockers.
" You wanna do lunch somewhere?" she asked her as she flipped the combination into her locker and dropped her bag inside taking a few bills out first and shoving them in her front pocket with her keys. Reagan and Greenlee had met after Silver caught fire and joined Gould for the first merge. It was fate how well they clicked and hit it off. Reagan doesn't usually have that much in common with anyone, or really open up to let them figure it out. When Silver went back to their building they were still pretty inseparable going to one another's houses and doing other things together. Now that the schools were joined again it only made the friendship stronger, and easier to maintain for that matter. It was nice to finally have someone around she could talk to during the day.
Waiting for Greenlee she leaned up against the lockers and shut her own. " You pick the place and I can drive?" she asked her. She liked school but didn't care much for the food so she tried to go somewhere else as often as she could or brought her own.

Greenlee didn't have a ton of friends. She didn't even have a lot. She truly only had one best friend. Although there was that Taki guy she had met before, but she hadn't spoken to him since, so Greenlee settled that she was destined for one best friend and that was Reagan. Which was fine cause Reagan and Greenlee had a lot in common. Not to mention that she was a loyal friend.
Greenlee smiled when she saw her friend outside her class. She didn't need to go to her locker. Greenlee had all she needed in her bookbag. She tried to cut down on trips to her locker cause they took too long. She was thankful for when they met during the first merge. It truly made Greenlee's experience at school better. Now that it was permanent would be ever better.
"Do you even have to ask. No way I am sticking around for food if there is a better choice. We can go to KFC, Wendy's, Burger King, jamba juice. We really have a restaurant row out there." She joked. "Come on. I say we drive and figure out from there, cause I am not sure what I am in the mood for." She said with a bright smile.

Since Greenlee didn't need in her locker they just walked right on passed heading out of the main building towards the parking lot for Reagan's car. She wasn't really sure what she wanted, but there would be plenty to pick from. Holding her keys up she unlocked it just short of them arriving at the car and then opened the door letting herself into the drivers seat. Starting the car she pulled out of the parking lot and drove just a short distance up the street before getting stopped at a light and turning to her friend in the passenger seat.
" Have I told you yet my mom is having an affair?" she asked her curiously and with a solemn look on her face. She didn't think she had, she wasn't sure she was really ready to kinda put it out there to anyone. She hadn't even talked to her brother about it. It was eating at her though having to hold her tongue so she had to say something to someone.
" Wendy's or Jamba Juice?" she asked her as the light turned green again. Taking the next turn into the parking lot containing both she parked between the two and shit the car off waiting for a decision before exiting the car.

"No you didn't." Greenlee was shocked at the revelation, "How did you find out?" She asked. Wow, an affair. That must suck for Reagan. "I am sorry to hear it." Greenlee wondered how upset her friend was and just what she could do to help. "Can I do anything for you?" She asked. She hoped there was a way she could help, even if it was just to listen. Greenlee was good at that.
"Jamba Juice. I could use a smoothie." Greenlee decided. "I cannot believe your mom is having an affair. That is something I didn't see coming." Then again Greenlee barely paid much attention to Reagan's parents. Reagan was her friend but she didn't see the point in watching the parents. Perhaps she should.
Greenlee could not begin to imagine what her friend was going through. She just hoped her friend could handle it. Cause an affair could lead to a divorce or maybe something else. Greenlee made a mental note to be more available to her friend if she ever needed to talk or something, even if it was late or early in the day.

Reagan shrugged as she got out and met her friend on the sidewalk before making their way inside. She felt like it wasn't a big deal, but it was more that she should have seen it coming then anything. It was a huge deal to her even if she tried to hide it or prevent feeling that way, she didn't want her parents divorced. Now though, she kept waiting for her father to find out and it was only a matter of time til he would whether it was from her or some other way. Then the divorce was inevitable she figured.
" My brother picked up on a phone call and had suspicions when he heard a few seconds so I guess he decided to wait another minute or two before hanging up. Sure enough. " she said wishing she had been the one to hear it. She knew it was true but it almost felt surreal.
Stepping to the register she ordered a Four cheese flatbread and Banana berry smoothie then stepped to the side to wait for her friend. Once they had both ordered there food she continued with her story as they looked for a quick booth.
" I saw it coming and it is still kinda shocking I guess. It makes me wonder how long it has been going on though. " she said feeling it tug at her. She wondered also how long til it would come out and she could stop feeling like a fraud trying to decide when to tell her mother. There was never a perfect time for something like that.
Taking their food and sliding into the booth she unwrapped her flatbread and stared at it for a second. " She blames him for losing the baby. ' she shook her head nonchalantly, " and he works constantly. As much as I hate to say it since it is completely wrong and I disagree with what she is doing I am still really surprised it took this long. " and she honestly was. Her mom was independant but longed for her father to be home and spend time with him. Run their house like a real family but it was anything far from it.
" Anyways. Enough poor me. Have I missed anything going on in your life I should have known about? New best friends? Boys? " she asked her friend curiously probably knowing the answer. Not because she wasn't a wantable girl or a great friend but they were a lot alike and she knew she didn't pop up with these things hardly ever.

"I don't mind you unloading your problems on me. What are friends for." Greenleeknew her friends family had been through a lot.She felt for her friend. It must be hard to be having family problems and Greenlee could relate considering what happened wth her own family. "As for me, nothing really I am afraid. I still feel like Cinderella at home.I have met a few new people though."
Which was surprising cause she had a tendency to stict to her self and not be social, but Greenlee was doing better. She knew she had to break out every now and then. "There was this one guy, but it didn't really work out. I wish it had but you know just flirting and stuff but nothing came of it." She had been talking about Raphael who had left school after shortly joinging the school a few months ago.
"How about you? Anyone knew in your life. Any new crushes?" She teased. "I have one, but I can't say who it is." She laughed smiling as she sipped her smoothie. THis is what Greenlee needed to do more often, was just relax and be herself rather then what everyone wanted her to be. "Thanks again for driving. Or else I would have been stuck with the cafeteria food and that would not be pretty."

Reagan's eyes lit up when her friend said she had a new crush but refused to tell her who it was. To her that was like giving a child their present and then telling them they couldn't open it. It wasn't too often either of them had a serious crush on someone. They liked a few boys here and there but so far nothing that stuck too long.
" You can't tell me that and then not tell me who. Or how it came about for that matter. " she said as she took her final bite and followed it up with a drink. She was more then curious now and if she still couldn't get an answer out of her friend she figured she would have to respect that but it wouldn't make her any less antsy to find out.
" I personally have no love life, ever. Unless they are my brother's friends or people I randomly meet there isn't too many guys who take the chance on a nerd." she laughed crumbling the paper from her wrap in her hands and throwing it back on the tray. It didn't bother her any that boys usually didn't notice girls like her, she knew it wasn't because she wasn't pretty enough or anything like that, she always convinced herself smart was intimidating.
