Zac was bored.
No, beyond bored.
He was laying on his couch staring at the textured ceiling until he could make cartoon figures out of what he saw. The last one he could make out looked like Eduardo from 'Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.'
He picked up his drumsticks and went to practice but he just wasn't feeling it at the moment. He was going stir crazy sitting at home.
Maybe some cleaning would help. He started picking up dirty clothes that were strewn all over the house. Who knew two guys living on their own could be such slobs? Insert your own answer here.
It didn't take long to make the place decent again, or at least presentable. He looked around, all that was missing were people. He grabbed his phone and sent a text to Brittany, hopefully she would be in.
'Brit, Z here. Bored. Wanna come watch movies and junk?'
Message sent.
Time for a shower until he heard back from her.

Brittany wasn't doing much at home. After school she'd touched up some of the orange coloring in her hair and since then she'd mostly just been fiddling around on the internet watching random funny youtube videos and other such things. When she heard her phone beep she had to find it first. She was wearing an old T-shirt she usually wore when she dyed her hair and a pair of pajama pants. Her phone turned up in the jeans she'd worn to school that day although she'd had to look in several places before she'd found it.
She smiled when she saw the text from Zac. She'd always been a little closer to Ian but Zac was like a brother to her too. Plus, she knew for a fact that Ian was working and Zac always got bored when his brother wasn't around. She quickly texted back 'So there! I'll be over in a few!'
Once her message was sent she quickly changed back into the clothes she'd worn to school that day. While she was certain that both of the Baxter boys had seen her in her pajamas at one point or another (there was that day she'd worn them to school after all) she figured it was probably better to wear actual clothes.
Her mother wasn't home so she left her a note to let her know she'd be out. She then grabbed her skateboard and heading in the direction of the Baxter's pad. On her way she stopped at the grocery store and grabbed some chips, microwave popcorn, a 2 liter of cherry coke, and sour patch kids. She figured Zac probably had snacks there too, but it never hurt to have more. She then continued the was to Zac's.
Once she got there she hopped off her skateboard, carrying under one arm as she made it to the front door, turning the knob to see if it was open since she never bothered to knock unless it was locked. The door was unlocked so Brittany walked right in, placing her skateboard next to the door. "Zac!" she called out. "I'm here! I brought the junk!!" she yelled as she wandered further inside with her bag of goodies.

Zac heard Brit's voice, he was half decent but wanted to be presentable or as presentable as one gets in t-shirt and jeans.
He poked his head from the bathroom door and spoke in a very bad falsetto voice, "I'll be right out!" He slipped into a black t-shirt that had Animal on it with the words 'Party Monster' on it, jeans that had seen better days and a pair of bear claw slippers.
He checked his hair quickly which was still dripping from the shower, still most people were used to him being wet after drumming. A quick brush through it and it looked okay.
"Hey," he had a half-cocked grin. "You made it over! You brought sour gummies! You totally rock!!"
"Sit, sit. I hadn't picked anything out yet. Anything you in the mood to see?" He had a decent size collection but nothing out of the ordinary.

"Okay!" Brittany said when Zac said he'd be right out. She made her way to the living room where the TV was and pulled out the snacks that she'd brought, laying them out on the table while she waited for Zac.
She grinned when he exclaimed over the sour gummies, knowing they were one of his favorites. They were one of hers too so she'd figured it was a good choice. "Of course I rock," she teased. "You better not eat all the red ones this time," she teased as she grabbed the chips she brought and opened up the bag as she plopped down on the couch. "I brought everything we need," she grinned.
"Doesn't matter what we watch," she said, "how about a comedy or something though...something light," she said as she wasn't really in the mood to watch any movie that was going to make her think, although she doubted Zac would pick anything like that anyway. "Hey...you wanna put something in and I can make some popcorn?" she offered as she downed some chips. She then placed the bag back on the table and reached for the microwavable popcorn. "I got the extra butter kind," she said holding it up.

Zac pouted slightly. "You take the fun out of everything." The pout didn't last as Zac started to crack up. "Okay, I promise I won't all the red ones this time, I'll take the green ones!" He laughed as he popped a couple in his mouth and made a puckered sour face and smile at the same time.
"You must be a p-sychic or something, you knew the popcorn I like. I'll ask you for the lottery numbers later!" He joked. Sure, it would be a huge blessing if he or Ian could hit the jackpot, maybe then they could get a more decent place to live and get out of debt. "How about something very light like 'Looney Tunes', or 'Animaniacs'? Perfect for shot attention like mine. What was I talking about?" He grinned. A bad joke like that would have usually ended with him getting a face full of pillow from Ian.
"Oh yeah, we have bendy straws as well if you want one. Got a ton of 'em from neighbors while in recovery."

"Animaniacs for sure!" Brittany said with a grin as she made her way into the next room to microwave some popcorn, walking back into the living room while the popcorn popped. "Of course its your favorite," Brittany pointed out. "Extra butter is everyone's favorite...isn't it?" she asked, watching as Zac put in the animaniacs DVDs.
"Let's see...lottery numbers...how about 0-7-0-4," she said giving him the month and day of her birthday which was the fourth of July. It was something she'd always liked growing up since there were always fireworks on her birthday. The microwave beeped and Brit went back into the kitchen grabbing the popcorn and out opening up the back and pouring its content into a bowl before heading back out to the living room once more and plopping down onto the couch.
"Bendy straw, sweet--can I have the blue one?" she asked, reaching out and taking it at the same time. She stuck it into her glass and then poured herself a soda as the cartoon started up. Brittany quietly sang along to the theme song bobbing her head back and forth as she did so.
