"I told you I would share mine after the shower tonight." Liz reminded him. "I did n't say I wouldn't tell you at all." She grinned over at him, which turned into a series of pouts as he was quick to notice and point out that she'd obviously never set a table before. "Yes, yes, we know I'm a spoiled rotten princess." She pouted at him, folding her arms across her chest and scowling lightly. She wasn't irritated at him, not at all!
He returned with the napkins, placing them to the side of each plate before speaking. He was nervous about something, that was clear. Then..she found out why. She walked over to him. "No." She told him, flat out and honest. "I will never tell you who you can be friends with and spend time with Fe..yeah, those two, they don't really like me..but that's nothing to do with you...lots of people don't like me..." She chewed softly on her lower lip. "I didn't make a great first impression on Eden at all, and she chose to get back at me by hurting me, which hurt you, which hurt me m ore." She looked down. "I stay out of their way, they stay out of mine..I have nothing against either of them personally...they weren't in the wrong that day, I had been." Liz felt that old familiar stone settling in her stomach. She'd always hated how she'd hurt Felipe by lieing to him, and she truly hoped he didn't start not trusting her again now that they'd brought up the twins.

Felipe nodded at LizBeth's assurance. He'd hoped that would be her reply and she was right in that neither of the twins particularly liked her. Ben felt used and Eden... Hell, Eden disliked everything about Liz. The two girls would probably never get on. "Ok," he replied in a low voice. A shame as it would have been good to have her with him Sunday morning. Two parts of his life that likely would never coincide.
"Ok," he repeated with a smile. "Subject closed. Now, how about we go and listen to some music while supper's finished?"
She nodded and he led her up to his room where he threw open the doors out onto the balcony. Felipe leaned over and peered down over the extensive grounds. Eduardo kept them to perfection, the grass as smooth as a billiard table and the shrubbery pristine.
"What sort of music do you want?" he asked. "My collection is over there..." An assortment of all kinds but with a fair selection of Brazilian groups. "Or we can just talk if you prefer..."

Liz looked over at her Brazilian as he spoke lowly, accepting her answer about the twins. "I will be there for the lesson though, and I promise to behave..ok?" She told him, placing a hand on his chest gently. "I know they are your friends, and I don't wanna cock that up for you."
He closed the subject, giving her one of those heart melting smiles. Fefe suggested music, which she nodded in agreement to, taking her upstairs to his room. He asked what sort of music she wanted, and Liz moved over toward the shelf that had his cd's on it. "I can think of a few things we can do." She answered, looking over her shoulder at him, a glitter to her eyes. Yes, indeed she did have an idea or two, but with tea nearly ready and a houseful of siblings, there was a good chance they'd be interrupted and embarrased.
Liz popped in a cd that had some soft samba music, leaving the volume low as she walked over to the balcony. Felipe was standing, resting his hands on the balcony railing, and Liz slid under and nestled herself against his chest, facing the grounds. "We can talk, we can dance, we can snog provided your brothers don't interrupt us.." She looked back at him with a grin.

"Dance?" he queried with a grin. "You know how to samba?" If so then he was in for a treat!Of the biggest kind!!
He drew her closer and nuzzled the nape of her neck. "Tell me though... what is snog?" he asked into her hair.
LizBeth laughed... and explained...
"Aaah I understand," Felipe said when she'd finished. "Snog is such an ugly word for an act of such beauty... don't you think?"
To him it sounded desperately wrong but was - apparently - English slang for kissing and making love.
"Dance with me, princess," he went on. "Dance the night away... or at least until supper is ready," he finsished on a short laugh.
Dinner wouldn't be long but they could maybe have this one single dance...

Liz grinned. "I might know how to samba dance..a little." While Liz was not a perfect dancer, she could hold her own, and having vacationed all over the world helped with knowing all sorts of things. She smiled when he drew her closer, wrapping his hands around her waist and stomach, nuzzling her neck, which made her smile and melt. He asked what a snog was.
She laughed softly, and told him, a snog was another word for a kiss, he'd eventually learn all sorts of British slang from her. He commented after she was done on how it seemed to be such an ugly term for something so beautiful. "I've....never been with a guy that I cared about like I do you..like that." She told him. Up till him, it was all casual and physical fun, but to be with someone like Felipe, where she cared so deeply for him, she honestly could not imagine how much better it would be!
He asked her to dance, dance the night away..or until dinner was ready at least. Liz turned in his arms, lazily draping her own around his neck. The music in the bedroom had turned slower, a more sultry beat. Liz let her body move against his to the beat, her green eyes locked on his dark brown ones.

Felipe peered down at LizBeth. She cared fopr him that much? He knew she liked him but... He hadn't guessed to what extent.
The music played on... a sensual beat as it was with that type of music. Heady. It was way too easy to lose himself in the sound... and in her eyes.
"Felipe!"
He jerked away from LizBeth as his mother's voice rang out.
"Supper!"
He threw Liz a rueful grin at the less than timely interruption. "We should... you know..."
"Go down?"
He threw her a look of utter suspicion.
"Downstairs... yes," he clarified on a short laugh. "You are a bad girl, Elizabeth Livingston," he told her and in good spirits the pair headed towards the patio...

Felipe had given her a look when she had spoken, and for a moment she was afraid he was going to tell her that he did not feel the same as he did. He didn't, nor did he confirm that he did, so Liz shut up and just enjoyed the beat of the music and of his body against hers. She couldn't tear herself away from his eyes, and Liz found her heart beating quicker then normal.
His mum's voice broke the moment, calling them down to the table for supper. She groaned inwardly, even as her stomach growled in protest at the thought of missing the meal. Felipe gave her a grin, saying that they should...
to which she replied.."Go down." The comment had not been innocent whatsoever, and he knew it by the look he gave her. She just smiled and took his hand as they headed downstairs. "yes Im bad..its part of why you love me.." She grinned at him as they reached the patio, the rest of the family gathered already. Realizing that they might have heard her comment, Liz blushed slightly.

It was impossible not to hear the comment made by Felipe's girlfriend as they came downstairs and Ricardo threw Victor a smirk that spoke volumes. "Little Fe is growing up, heh?" he hissed to his brother who snorted a laugh in response.
"Ricardo! Victor! Go help your sister with the food!" called out Mr Vila Nova senior. He watched his pair of oldest sons leave, still chatting in low whispers and Vicente glanced across at Felipe. He'd done well for himself with LizBeth and he liked her. She felt good for his youngest son. Hopefully they'd not nticed the banter between the other two.
The meal was soon served out and Felipe sat at Liz's side, Ana Izabel to her left. The other brothers were placed opposite with their parents at either end of the long table. As hoped, the night sky was now the colour of ink, with silver sparkling crystals dotted across it. Would they be lucky and have that shower? Felipe clung to the hope that it would be so. The perfect end to what had turned out to be a pretty perfect day.
* * *
After supper - and helping clear the table - the Vila Nova family (plus LizBeth, of course) were sitting out on the patio, watching the stars. Ricardo and Victor soon grew bored and vanished inside to play on the X-box but Felipe didn't want to miss the spectacle.
"There! Over there!" he said with a pointed finger towards the falling star. "Make that wish, Liz!" he reminded her.

Liz tried to ignore the older brothers as they did exactly what she thought they would, taking the mickey out on she and Fel. Fortunately, Mr. VilaNova came to their rescue, shooing the boys away to go assist their sister with the food. They did, still taking shots at the couple, though quieter. She looked over at Vincente for a moment, and gave him a warm smile. He was just as welcoming and loving as his wife, as the rest of his family, and if she was smart, she would move her dental needs to his office.
They tucked into the meal, which as always with MamavilaNova, was fantastic. Everyone was really fantastic and understanding when it took Liz just a little bit longer to finish her food due to painful chewing time. She had her Brazilian on her right, Ana on her left with the older boys across from them. Ricardo kept taking quiet cracks at them, able to keep it under the parents radar, but he was swiftly answered with a kick in the shins from a heeled foot. She'd been given grins from the others, they knew she knew how to control the boys.
After dinner was done, and the dishes had been taken care of, Liz found herself seated on a porch swing, curled up against Felipe with a blanket over their laps and his arm over her shoulder. It wasn't long before Fefe pointed out a shooting star to her, and reminded her to make her wish. Liz let her eyes close as she did just that, She had a handful of wishes, the first being that they'd have many more nights like this, that his family would always accept her into the fold, and that he'd kiss her, and the final one being that they might eventually pass that final threshold of intimacy.

He leaned back at LizBeth's side and looked up at the shower. It truly was spectacular and even more so when shared like this. He had no way of knowing what it was LizBeth wished for and he wouldn't dream of asking her... or revealing his own wish. To do so would see it not come true... Or, worse, still, have the exact opposite take place.
"Would you like to go inside or take a walk?" he asked. It was still early enough for the latter and definitely balmy but he also knew she'd been through it with her dental work and was possibly feeling tired.
"Your choice completely," he added. "I will just be happy to be spending my time with you." More evenings like this... Ah yeah... that would have been one of his wishes for sure!
