Shelby took a deep breath. She was dressed in a blue dress that she'd cinched at the waist with a wide black belt, paired with a black quilted clutch purse and black gladiator heels. Her long blonde hair was down and curled at the ends and her makeup was done up just right to make her look as old as possible.
She couldn't believe she was here, standing outside in front of the place that Xavier said wouldn't card her. What if someone from school saw her...and with Xavier no less. Sure their sparring was fun. He actually kind of challenged her which was something Shelby liked. But she didn't like Xavier still. He had been deemed uncool by the cheerleaders. Shelby had a crush on Tyler. They'd even made out. She was still hopeful there although Tyler hadn't really promised to take her out and Xavier had.
Oh...this was a terrible idea. Shelby should have known better. She was leaving. She was totally leaving. If Xavier tried to say anything about her chickening out she'd simply tell him that he wasn't worth her time and that she hadn't bothered to show up at all. She took a few steps, starting to leave when she saw him approaching. Shelby took another deep breath, there was no backing down now.
Putting on her confident face she gave him a look. "I was just leaving...thought you couldn't handle it," she told him, her tone arrogant and over confident.

Xavier had planned ahead, it helped that the owner was a family friend. His drinks would be watered down while Shelby got the full dose. He felt crafty in his plan.
Dressed well in a crimson red button down shirt, charcoal gray sport jacket, with black dress pants with matching socks and shoes. He walked down the street when he saw Shelby waiting for him.
"You didn't chicken out after all." He checked her out and whistled. "And might I add you look smoking hot tonight." He slipped a hand into his pocket, but remained true to his word and was a gentleman for the time being. He bowed slightly, "After you my dear."
Tonight would be perfect, she wouldn't know what hit her and he didn't have to lay a finger on her.

Shelby had of course highly exaggerated her drinking tolerance anyway, so that combined with Xavier's actual plan...well Shelby was in for a rough night and she didn't even know it! The poor freshman was already a bit nervous since she hardly ever had drunk much alcohol at all, but of course she oozed confidence. False confidence, but confidence after all. She had a plan too...she'd get him to drink first...get him drunk and then convince him she'd had more. A weak plan...yes, but it was all Shelby had.
"I never chicken out," Shelby told him, scoffing but taking his arm anyway as they walked inside. "And I always look good, so it really shouldn't come as a surprise that I do now," she added with a smirk, not commenting on his looks at all. If she was honest she'd admit that he pulled off the look quite nicely, but Shelby knew that honesty wasn't what got you ahead.
Once inside, Shelby looked around. It was a little dead given it was a Sunday night, but she was still at a bar and no one seemed to be running over to kick the 15 year old out. She walked up to the bar with Xavier, letting go of him as she sat down on one of the stools.
The bartender came right too them, "What can I get ya?" he asked.
Shelby straightened up on her stool. Wow...this was working...really working. She'd have to remember this place and come back with some of her friends. They'd think she was so cool for finding a place like this that didn't card. She wouldn't have to mention Xavier's involvement of course. "I'll have whatever he's having," she said confidently to the bartender, hoping that Xavier didn't order anything gross.

"Good? Good? Good means you look average, maybe even below average. When I say you look smoking hot, then you're setting off alarms all over." If a girl was in her right mind, this would be what they would want to hear. He escorted her inside and to the bar.
Xavier smiled at the bartender. "Hey Gus set me up with the usual." Which under normal circumstances, was vodka on the rocks but since this was a trick of sorts, it was plain old ice water while poor Shelby got the strong dosage.
When the drinks were served, Xavier raised his glass to her. "May this be a night you won't forget." He downed his drink in one swallow. "Your move." He grinned.

Shelby was excited about the drinks. She wasn't sure what the clear liquid with ice was when it was placed in front of her but before she even got a chance to ask, Xavier downed his. Shelby's eyes widened. Whoa...he just downed all of it... Shelby immediately knew she was in trouble.
"I don't even know what this drink is," she stalled, bringing it up to her nose for a sniff. Whoooaaaa....Strong! But she had to do it...she couldn't let him win... She attempted a large gulp but just ended up coughing as the alcohol burned the back of her throat. "Ew," she said recovering quickly. "I don't like this drink. I'm only drinking if I can drink something I like," she went on, being kind of prissy about it for the sake of getting out of this.
"Maybe you like this gross stuff, but I like things with flavor," she said. "Like...a Long Island Ice Tea," Shelby said. She'd heard of the drink before but had of course never had one. She also had no idea what she was requesting was very alcoholic. She was expecting ice tea with a little bit of alcohol.

"Yeah that's the thing about vodka, its one of those drinks you have to get used to."
Xavier smirked and nodded. "You heard the lady, a Long Island." Gus went to work on the drinks, again giving the full dosage to Shelby and a watered down version for Xavier. He took a drink and winced, "Man, that's strong, hope you know what you asked for!"
Several drinks later, Xavier was sitting back on his stool, with a superior look on his face. "How you feeling? Tummy not doing so good?" He slid Gus a hundred dollar bill. "You need a ride home?"

Shelby liked the long islands much better. They didn't taste of alcohol. Sure that's all they were beside the splash of coke but Shelby didn't know that and sucked them down with ease. This drinking thing wasn't so bad. She her head felt funny but she was fine. Totally fine...or so she thought. "No, I can handle myself," she said, "and my stomach is fine," she added as she slid off her stool. However the motion of standing up it was as if it all hit her all at once. The room was spinning around her and it wouldn't stop. She took one step forward, tripping on her heels, luckily she caught hold of the bar so she didn't completely fall. She was falling apart fast and everything had turned into sort of a haze. "A ride would be good," she slurred, blinking her eyes a few times. She'd never really been drunk before and if this was what it was, it wasn't something she wanted to do again.... Wrapped? I figure we can assume Xavier took Shelby home. She gave him a kiss goodnight and then tripped getting out of his car. She managed to make it into the house without seeing her parents but puked the second she made it to her bathroom. The next morning when she woke, still wearing her dress from the night before, her head was pounding and the last thing she could remember was drinking that first long island. She has no idea how she got into home or made it into bed. And she does NOT remember kissing Xavier
