Wanting something and actually doing something were obviously two separate things. Abby wanted to go to sleep but she found herself pulling up her jeans and putting on a dark blue knee length top. Abby wanted to stay sober but she was already out of the door and taking a long drag of her roll. Abby wanted to stop thinking about Diego but as she walked along the pier, Diego consumed her every thought. It was unfair how he can still go along with his life yet here she was thinking of him every second of every day.
The blunt she had with her was fastly depleting and she found herself sitting on the edge of the pier, her blue ballet flats covered feet dangling over the calm waters. The light wind blew her hair softly into her face as she looked over the dark horizon. The carnival was still alive and as her blunt finished, she pushed the burning tip down on her side and flicked it into the waters. She sighed and got up to go to the carnival. Might as well have her fun now that she was here.
She got on a few rides and as she was riding the Ferris wheel with a candy apple in one hand and a soda in between her legs, she spotted a familiar face with a not so familiar face in the crowd. So the charming Felipe had company; pretty girl, jet black hair. But why the looks and bad vibes? Biting into her apple and licking her lips, Abby got off once the ride stopped and walked through the crowd to join the pair. If they were on a date, Abby would bail in an instant. She wasn't about to get in between two lovers or whatever. But maybe Felipe needed saving. Abby laughed to herself. Someone like Felipe would only need saving from crazy girls who think he's a piece of exotic meat. Which this girl might be. Who knows?
Abby was directly behind Felipe before someone pushed against her, causing her to bump into Felipe and her drink to spill on the left side of her jeans. "Goddammit." She slurred before laughing. Her candy apple had gotten stuck on Felipe's shirt. "Oh damnness. I am so sorry that I'm interrupting." Abby closed her mouth with one slender hand before yanking the apple off Felipe's shirt and hurrying off to get some napkins and water. When she got back, she tried her best to get the stickiness off Felipe's shirt, all the while realising she was obviously interrupting the couple.
"Sorry, Felipe. I really didn't mean to...Well sorry. Hi girl, I'm Abby." She added the last bit more as an after thought, holding her hand up curtly before resuming her attention on Felipe. "You want me to get you a new shirt?"

“Ok... so no going home... but you can’t be out too late or Spencer will be angry.” She had her morning appointment, after all. He lifted one eyebrow when she spoke in his native language. An adage he tried to live his own life by. Don’t put off til tomorrow what can be done today. Problem was, could he actually forgive her that quickly? Felipe wasn’t so sure that was in him. The session with Ben wasn’t his issue. It was the lying to cover it up that bothered him. And if she honestly cared for him as s deeply as she kept claiming why had she made out with Ben in the first place? Shouldn’t it have been with Felipe? That made no sense what so ever to him and yet his nature wasn’t the kind to keep hold of a grudge for too long. Perhaps she was right. Perhaps he should put this behind him? Even then, though, he would be as wary as hell. LizBeth had a lot to prove to him.
One hell of a lot.
He hadn’t expected her to speak about the Prom and. to be honest, Felipe had already scrapped any thoughts of attending it himself. He’d been poised on asking LizBeth to be his date but after all that had happened... No... he knew that would be foolish. As he couldn’t see himself either asking anyone else or, worse still, going alone Felipe had told himself he would forego the pleasure of the event. And now this... LizBeth had opened up the option once more.
“So you wouldn’t be going with Ben, heh?” he asked, eyes cast down at the paper cup he’d not realised he’d shredded. “I’ll remember what you said,” he added, still unsure whether to go or not. “I suppose we could hang out together at the Prom... I mean, it would be stupid not to go.” He pushed himself to his feet and dumped the wrecked cup into a nearby rubbish bin. He waited for LizBeth to join him and it was at that moment that someone bumped into him. He turned to see who it was...
“Abby!” he exclaimed in surprise.
She replied with an apology and Felipe looked down at the toffee-coated apple that was stuck to his shirt front. Abby darted off to grab some water and paper napkins, managing to get most of the goo off whilst simultaneously depositing fragments of tissue across his chest. The pieces of napkin were well and truly glued in place.
"Sorry, Felipe. I really didn't mean to...Well sorry. Hi girl, I'm Abby." She added the last bit more as an after thought, holding her hand up curtly before resuming her attention on Felipe. "You want me to get you a new shirt?"
“This is fine,” he assured her. “As long as I steer clear of cats or anything else hairy I should be ok,” he added with a grin. “This is LizBeth,” he added. “And you are alone? Again? Unbelievable,” he finished with a wink. “Liz, this is Abby who I told you about. We met earlier on the beach...”

Liz had stood, debating on whether or not to leave, when the familiar scent of weed danced through the wind. She scrunched up her nose and her stomach gave a nasty roller coaster of a hell. The scent immediately reminded her of Ben and her idiotic mistakes of that afternoon. "Ugh.." She muttered, waving her hand in front of her nose. It was safe to say that LizBeth no longer held any interest in the leafy drug.
She'd brought up her decision for prom, and Felipe's answer rather surprised her. "No, I won't be going with Ben." She answered lightly. At this point, Liz didn't care if Prince William himself asked to escort her to the traditional dance, if Felipe was not her date, Liz would not be going. Now, that did not mean she would not show up in a fantastic dress, show all the lower beings what they were missing, and make her exit back to the house to watch one gory prom themed horror flick after another. "We can hang out?" She repeated, a little unclear as to what he meant. "Does that mean..I will see you there and perhaps talk to you at one point or another, or do you mean you will pick me up, have a corsage that matches my dress and spent the entire evening with me?"
Their private moment was interrupted by some dark haired girl who proceeded to spill stuff all over the Brazilian. Liz lifted an eyebrow, stepping back for a moment as the girl apologized herself all over Felipe, trying, and failing to help him clean up. Felipe introduced the girl as Abby..the girl he'd met on the beach. Touche. Liz put on one of those smiles, the one that Fefe would probably recognize from the Friday before when their lunch date had been interrupted by Kian, though he'd been sweet enough. It was that smile of *Oh god I am not comfortable..please...help* Obviously theis girl, Abby, was comfortable enough with Felipe to be touching him without regard. "Charmed.." She nodded at Abby. "Should hook you up with someone we know...he loves that disgusting smelly weed as well.." Liz wasn't being rude, but the waves wafting off the girl were likely to give them all contact highs.

"Hey, sweetie." The words rolled into each other as she finally got the worst of the goo off Felipe and threw the candy apple into the nearest bin. She giggled when the boy winked at her. "Oh, I was talked about. All good things I hope." Her attention turned to the Liz character who was giving a smile Abby knew all too well. She decided to let it go unnoticed and concentrated on Felipe. "You didn't mention you had a girlfriend." Abby smirked, still standing instead of sitting down.
"Yes, I'm afraid I'm alone again. It's hard to find someone who would actually want to smoke outside of their homes." Abby shrugged, admitting to the fact that she had indeed been smoking pot. If that turned Felipe off her, it really wasn't her problem. Bonus points if he didn't mind it. The sarcasm in the one word that came from the Liz character made Abby's smirk widen. Oh, she had definitely interrupted a moment. Sweet.
"Oh I'm sure you are, sweetheart." The senior brunette replied with a simpering smile she obviously did not mean. Abby let the comment about her apparent disgust slide and turned back to Felipe. "I thought I saw you from up there," she pointed up to the brightly lit Ferris wheel. "We meet twice in a day without proper plans...some would say that's just freaky coincidence."
She had to get a grip on herself. She didn't want the Liz character to think she was completely out of her mind. Unscrewing the bottle of water she had bought to wash off Felipe's shirt, she took slow sips from it. "So...am I interrupting?" she asked, feeling slightly less headachey.

“No,” he assured Abby. “You are not interrupting...” Nothing other than an argument anyway!” Never having smoked pot Felipe had no idea what was going on... but the pair seemed to like the same perfume it seemed! For his tastes it was a touch sickly but... interesting. “Aah but smoking is bad for you,” he went on. “I have heard it can affect your height.” He hadn’t a clue they were both talking about pot and took it to mean more normal tobacco.
He poked at his sticky shirt with a grin. “Twice in the one day? Someone is looking favourably down on me it would seem.”
Felipe had intended to answer LizBeth’s earlier question about the prom. About whether they would be together or if he’d meant they’d meet up there in a more casual manner. Right now he wasn’t sure how to answer that and so thanked Abby (mentally) for her timely arrival. Thirty minutes ago his answer would have been obvious as his intention had been to ask LizBeth to be his date all along... But now...? Now nothing was certain and yet she seemed to think he would move past her lies this quickly...? No... that wasn’t going to happen... Not if he hoped for her to learn anything from this experience.
“We didn’t get to see the haunted house,” he went on. “Perhaps we can all go together...?” Yes he wanted to be with LizBeth but there was no way in this or any other hell he was going to make himself look desperate! If she wanted him like she claimed the SHE could do the hard work. After all, she was the one that had shit to prove.,.. not him! And in the interim...? Abby was more than good company!

Liz rubbed her upper arms with her hands, trying to take away some of the chill she was feeling. Part of it was the cooling weather, part of it was her own emotional chill, which she couldn't really blame Felipe for.
The Brit seemed to go barely noticed as Abby spoke to Felipe, which was ok with her. She barely lifted an eyebrow as Abby admitted to smoking herbal, she could hand deliver someone who had no problems smoking anywhere he wanted.
Abby threw her a single sentance, and took note of the girl's not so lovely attitude hidden behind the words. Liz knew attitude, she had more then enough of her own, but she kept hers in check for right now. This girl seemed all but intent to focus on Felipe, which, after what Liz had done, she was not going to get upset over.
"Smoking is bad for you...you make all sorts of bad choices when you do it.." Liz muttered under her breath, looking between the pair. "In fact.." Liz spoke. "Hopefully you didn't drive like that..and I know Fefe walked back...why don't we make sure you get home safe later?" She offered, actually meaning to be nice for the time being. Honey, flies, vinegar you know. "Felipe here seems to regard you as a friend, and I wouldn't want him feeling bad if something happened to you because of your..entertainment choices."
Liz turned to Felipe, giving him a small smile as he mentioned the haunted house, as it had been their destination before everything had gone to hell earlier. "I'm up for that.." She answered, letting her hand find his and her fingers entwine with his slowly. If he pulled away, that was ok, hopefully he wouldn't.
"Are you coming Abby?"

Laughing at Felipe's innocence, Abby ruffled his already messy hair before leaning back from him with her arms crossed. "I hardly think I can grow any taller than this and some might say it's quite a good height for me." She shrugged. "Aww aren't you sweet?" Abby patted Felipe's cheeks affectionately before turning to Liz. "Isn't he sweet?" She turned to Liz deliberately, asking with a little smile only girls would comprehend. She wasn't trying for Felipe's affections but something about Liz just irked her.
"Honey, thank you so much for being so concerned about my life choices." She drawled at Liz. "And I'm quite capable of making my way home alone unless Felipe doesn't mind sending me. Do you, Fefe?" Abby squeezed the boy's arm, looking at him with a smile. Abby was acting purely out of spite right about now, not really liking Liz's whole aura. If she had instigated an argument with such a sweet guy like Felipe, she can't be that nice a person, could she?
Even Liz's choice of words and how she said it made Abby's blood boil. Full of condescension and sarcasm. She saw the hand holding and chose that time to slip her hand through Felipe's arms. "Haunted house, that's perfect. I'd love to go with you." It was a tad unnecessary of Abby to exclude Liz since she was obviously Felipe's original date but if he was so invested in the other girl, would he have asked Abby to join? It was probably out of politeness since the foreign student was chock full of gentlemanly ways but still...
"I really hope I haven't interrupted a date." Abby whispered to Felipe, being careful not to let Liz hear.

Felipe would have had to have been brain dead not to pick up on the vibes emanating from Abby and LizBeth. He knew the latter was in a dismal mood thanks to what had happened and put her responses down to that. Abby, for her part, was simply firing back and expectedly so! He was glad that Abby agreed to join them in the haunted house. Maybe with the extra person around the atmosphere between himself and Liz would ease. That said, it couldn’t get a heck of a lot worse! Abby leaned close and whispered her question and Felipe replied in the same low tone. “If you’d asked me that an hour ago I could easily have told you yes... that Liz and I were on a date but now...?” He frowned slightly. “Now I am not sure of anything,” he admitted. It would have been good to have someone to ask about all of this... To make sure he wasn’t over-reacting. Abby perhaps? She was a good friend and even though they’d only met that afternoon (other than barely in English class, of course) he felt he could trust her. It was impossible to ask her thoughts on the mess at the moment, though. He couldn’t do that in front of LizBeth. That would have been absolutely insulting to her and no way would he act in that manner. Perhaps he could call her later...? No... He didn’t have her number. Felipe swore beneath his breath. Hopefully this would all die down as quickly as the furnace had been stoked? Maybe even by tomorrow. A good night’s sleep often cured all ailments... right? Maybe. He glanced down to his left... and Abby smiled back at him... and then to his right... LizBeth still looked close to tears. A good actress or sincere? He had a feeling it was the latter but time would tell if his guess had been right... (OOC: wrap? Tag for a wrap? continue? I’m fine with anything - I almost said ‘easy’ instead of ‘fine’ but then remembered that was LizBeth not me >=) )
