Sandy enjoyed getting out of the house, she didn't want to hear how much Greg would be in trouble for chocolate cake on his shirt. Finally he got in trouble for something, although rather minor.
She headed to the mall for what she liked to call 'retail therepy'. She didn't have a lot to spend but she had a decent allowance along with the baby sitting money she had earned on the previous night. She had to tease Greg before she left. "If your a good boy, I'll bring you a treat from the store!"
"Haha very funny Little Orphan Annie." He teased back. She smacked his shoulder with a girly hit and headed out the door.
She slipped on her earbuds and set her IPOD as she got on the bus and went to the mall. She knew no one would bother her while she had music on.
As the bus pulled up, she made her exit and entered the main doors of the mall. Her first stop was to the pretzel shop. It was a small tradition for her. Garlic pretzel, pizza dipping sauce and medium Diet Coke.
She found the shop and waited in line when her phone rang. "Hey Candice, I'm here getting my usual where are you?" She wasn't paying too much attention when someone tapped her shoulder.

The mall wasn’t where Tyler liked to spend his Saturday mornings. He generally preferred to be in the gym, or the pool, or the bed of his pool house with his latest conquest. But, last night hadn’t panned out as well as he hoped, no conquests, though he did end the night with a few possibilities. And his step mother had insisted that the teenager go out and have fun as she put it, seeing the mall as fun, and his father didn’t argue, telling his son to do whatever it was the woman suggested. In his best interests and all. He just tried not to think about what the couple was doing at home, with his absence.
It seemed as if he made a new friend, and perhaps possible fling, in the Hastings. He liked Jasper, they seemed to share a similar view on a lot of things. And like he had told the other male the previous night, if he found who was responsible for the cake incident, Tyler was more than happy to help... deal with the situation. It could be fun.
There were far too many clothes shops than was needed, Tyler decided, walking around the oversized building. His stepmom usually handled the clothes shopping duties in the Durnham household, neither Tyler or his father complaining. The woman had good taste and liked to shop, saving them the trouble, so there was nothing to complain about.
He was starting to get hungry though, missing breakfast when he was rushed out the door. So, he headed to the food court section, trying to pick something that looked like it was edible. Eying off the pretzel place, he almost walked past before he noticed a semi-familiar face. Well, he couldn’t miss this opportunity for a bit of fun.
Walking over to the girl, he remembered her name just at the last minute, tapping her shoulder. “Hey Sandy. Feel like company while we eat?”

Sandy turned around and nearly dropped her phone. "Candy call you back soon, give the 411 then!" and she hung up on her friend. Here she was once again face to face with the guy who made her blush a few days earlier.
"TYler HI!" Her voice went up and down like she was on a roller coaster. She didn't freely admit it but she liked Tyler, he was so...so...so not like her brother. Tyler had charm, sophistication and so much more maturity than others their age or so she thought.
"Yeah I'd love some company, thats if you don't mind pizza sauce and garlic breath!" She giggled as she placed and paid for her order. "So what brings you to the mall today?" She asked making small talk as she waited for her order. She made a quick scan over the tables looking for something close by, once her order was in hand. "Or better yet we can chat more once we get a seat somewhere!"
She thought of herself as one of the luckiest girls at either school, unaware of any ulterior motives he had planned and that she was a mere pawn in his game.

Tyler hid his grin at the thought of Sandy calling Candy, the rhyming names amusing in itself, the moment he left her company for a gossip session. Probably something along the lines about how hot and dreamy he is, if he has a thing for Sandy, if he wanted to ask her out, etc etc. All things he was used to after all, he was quite sought after.
She seemed more talkative though, than she was their first meeting. Perhaps she was, not bolder, not, maybe just a little more confident, now that she didn’t have her small giggling group of friends watching her every move. He would take advantage of this newfound confidence. “Of course I don’t mind.” he grinned, and though it wasn’t what he most felt like doing, took her lead and ordered himself a garlic pretzel, even if just for appearances, and a coke to wash it down. That was just plain essential.
“Over there, a table and a couple of seats. Not that private, but at least I’ll have you to myself.” Tyler smiled, juggling the food to carry in one hand, the other he rested on the small of her back, leading her to the small table. It may not have been the ideal location for such manners, but he was raised well after all, and so pulled out Sandy’s chair, waiting for her to sit before doing the same.
“Nothing really, just window shopping. Was getting a bit tired of it actually, gets boring after a bit, to me anyone.” he laughed brightly. “But then, luckily for me, I spotted you and I just couldn’t help myself. So, what about you Sandy? I’m not interrupting any plans, am I?”

Sandy felt herself go flush in the face when Tyler had put his hand on the small of her back. Ok so not only was he hot but a gentleman as well, if her friends could see her now they'd not believe it!
"Thank you sir," she said sweetly as he pulled the chair out for her. She smoothed out the back of her jeans before sitting. Once situated, she had to just stop and look at him. Other girls would probably kill to be in her position right now. "I hadn't really made plans, other than getting out of the house for a short time, Greg is in trouble for the cake stain on his shirt, something about the cake exploding at a party last night and I needed some clothes for school as well as character shoes for dance class." She broke off a tiny piece of the pretzel and gave it a small dunk in the pizza sauce before popping it into her mouth. "So of course before I left I had to tease him about getting in trouble granted the punishment won't be sever just something like he can't drive to school for a couple of days."
"I can understand that, you can only look at the same clothes in stores before you wonder when they'll change."

There were quite a few noticeable differences in the two women that Tyler was currently paying any real attention to, though, Maggy was the only won he had any...serious intentions for. Until he managed to talk her into a date, and even during the date it took a while for her to relax around him, she could barely bring herself to look at him, let alone manage more than one sentence at a time.
Sandy however, not including her shyness when her friends had been around, seemed quite the obvious. She had no problem talking to him it seemed, and no problem with staring either. He didn’t think she broke his gaze even once. He liked it, she wasn’t as meek as first impressions indicated. And while he was willing to draw things out with Maggy, for the sport of it, he didn’t think he felt like another long affair, so this comfort with him already would work in Tyler’s favour. What he planned to do with her, he wasn’t sure, though, a one night stand was certainly looking appealing. And he would be her first too, he was sure of it. Even more appealing.
“Of course you had to.” Tyler chuckled softly. “I don’t have any siblings myself, but I can see, part of the appeal of having them would be to tease. Not much point otherwise.” he joked, before idly pulling off some of his food to taste. Not the most memorable dining experience, that was for sure.
“No plans? So, what would you say my chances are of talking you into hanging around me for a little while yet? I have nothing on until this after, and it seems a waste when I can share your company. You could even use the time to tell me what character shoes are.” he laughed.
