When Wynn next opens his locker he'll find this note from Julia.

Dear Wynn,

I know that things have not been right between us for some time, and for that I must apologize. I have allowed self-interest and emotions to interfere, but really I had no right to do so. Your heart chose Haley, and while I may wish it had been otherwise I certainly should not begrudge her your affections. After all, Aragorn did no dishonor to Eowyn by choosing Arwen over her. The only injury done is a minor one, a bruised heart and ego for a small time.

I have heard of late rumors linking your name with hers, and while I do not know the truth in such words, having attempted to insulate myself from any knowledge of your doings, yet I may both weep and rejoice at them: weep, for my own heart must finally acknowledge that your affections belong to her yet rejoice that your desires have been realized at last.

As to our last encounter, I hold you no ill will. I was, indeed, desirous of your companionship, yet it grieved me to be considered only a consolation for the absence of another. If ever you should wish for my company again, even if just in friendship, I hope it shall be on my own merits.

Wynn read the note and slid down to the floor. Haley had avoided him then said the whole "I like you but I want to be friends" bit and his other bit of hope, Julia basicly had just said the same thing. He still couldn't figure girls out, it was like they wanted one thing then another. He eyeballed the box of chocolate he had in his locker. He had planned on giving it to Haley to maybe persuade her more and if that didn't work then a peace offering with Julia.

He took the box out and ripped the lid open. He went to an open window and started to throw out each piece one by one.

"This one is for love!"
"This one is for heartbreak!"
"This one is for this horrible day!"

He kept naming something and throwing the candy from the window, much like Linus did when he found out Miss Othmar had left the school with her boyfriend. It didn't really solve anything but it was making him feel better. He was about throw another piece when a hand grabbed his stopping him from throwing another piece.

"Can't you let a guy work out his frustration?" He complained.
