Celest wasn't always as social as her siblings. While they all seemed to have their own friends and their own things going on, Celest seemed to keep to herself for the most part. She was quieter than the rest and had always preferred staying out of the spotlight anyway. She liked being under the radar, it was a nice change from all the attention of growing up with cameras around all of the time.
So, unless she had a reason to do otherwise, she spent many weekends in the house, hiding away in her room. She had her own interests after all and lots of that had to do with reading fantasy books and sewing together costumes that she'd wear in her room but usually not outside the house. There was just something about costumes...they were so pretty, much nicer than modern day clothes.
And right now she wanted to work on one only she needed some supplies. So Celest ventured outside of the Zouvelkis house for the first time all weekend. She took the bus downtown to wear the bulk of the fabric stores were. She visited a few different shops picking up ribbons, lace, and a ton of organza. Celest tended to be modest on her spending but when it came to her costume supplies, she spared no expense as she liked her things to be the best.
With a smile on her face and a bag of new supplies Celest headed down the street toward the bus stop. She turned the corner, only a block me to go when BAM! She took a few steps back to try and stable herself from the collision but she still ended up on the ground with the contents of her bags spread all over the street.

June had unpacked most of her boxes and needed a break. She got on the family computer and checked out the times for the bus's headed to the downtown area.
She got the schedule and headed out with her mp3 player in hand and she headed out while Idina Menzel sang 'Defying Gravity' into her ear.
As she exited the bus, her player suddenly went loud and she fought to bring the volume down. As she did, she didn't see a girl coming toward her.
*BAM!*
The two collided with June wide eyed. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry! Let me help you!" She started to gather the items that had fallen out of the bag.
"I hope that's everything, if anything is damaged let me take care of it." She smiled at the girl.

Celest looked up at the other girl as she attempted to help her. It was probably too late, Celest thought as she glanced at her supplies all over the street. She didn't see any apparent damage but there had to be something. There was no way everything had been protected.
Dressed in a pleated skirt, striped sweater, and socks pulled up to her knees, Celest pushed herself up off of her bottom and to a kneeling a position to gather her things, though she was appreciative of the other girl helping her. "I'm...I'm sure it's fine," Celest said quietly as she pushed some stray hairs off of her hair which was tied back into a tight knot on the back of her head. Celest liked wearing her hair like this.
"Thanks," she said, as she watched the other girl put her supplies into her bag. She tried to look careful and check for damage but it was hard to tell right now. She'd have to examine her things further to know for sure. "Are you alright?" Celest asked. "I didn't really see you coming around the corner," she went on. "It's probably my fault...I probably should have been paying closer attention."
Celest continued looking down as she spoke. It wasn't that she was afraid to make eye contact, it was more that she feared being recognized. It was something that she'd grown accustomed to growing up on a reality show as she had. She hated the media attention and she hated when people knew who she was. Maybe her siblings loved the attention, but she certainly did not.

June felt badly for plowing into the girl. "If anything was damaged let me know, I'm June Griffin." She offered her name, not that it would do any good but it was better than nothing at all.
"This was my fault, somehow my volume went up on my mp3 player and I got distracted." She tucked a few strands of stray hairs behind her ears. "I'm fine, just a bit surprised is all. Are you alright? We collided like crash test dummies." She smiled and laughed slightly.
She noticed the girl looking down, almost like she was ashamed of something. "You don't have to look down from me, I'm not angry." That was when an idea came to her. "I'm still new to the city and trying to find my way around. Care to spend the day with a lost soul?"

"Oh...no," Celest said, "I'm sure its all fine," she told the other girl not wanting to make her feel bad. After all, the collision was just as much Celest's fault as it was the other girl. She'd been looking at her feet, something she did often when she walked around. It was her way of keeping a low profile, but it sometimes ended up in her bumping into things, since she wasn't really watching where she was going.
"Oh...nice to meet you, June," Celest said. "I'm Celest," she told her although really, she wasn't so sure why she was introducing herself to a random girl on the street. But the girl seemed around Celest's age, which made her not really see the harm in it. After all, it wasn't like she was some creepy adult trying to take advantage of her. Celest was pretty sure the don't talk to strangers rule only applied to adults anyway.
"It's really okay, really," Celest reiterated. "I mean, I wasn't really watching where I was going either...its just as much my fault," she said. "I really need to pay attention more," she said, watching as she saw the bus she needed to take pass by. She wasn't sure when the next one was coming.
Celest forced herself to look up when the other girl commented on it. Celest was very shy and that combined with the whole not wanting to be recognized thing caused her to be the way she was. But she hoped that June wouldn't recognize her, although she was pretty sure she would. Their family had been in the media enough that people who didn't even watch the show recognized them sometimes. "New to LA," Celest repeated. "Well, I suppose I missed my bus anyway," she reasoned. "Where was it you were looking to go?" she asked.

June gasped slightly. "Celest, like my favorite actress, Celeste Holm! I just loved her in 'Cinderella'. I'm probably the only girl who would rather be the fairy godmother rather than the princess." She laughed as she dropped the mp3 player into her smallish purse.
"The main thing is that neither of us is injured. June commented. "So no need for 9-1-1 to be called."
"Maybe that's a sign. Missing the bus that is. Gives you a day out from family life." She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ears. "I know I needed to get out from unpacking." She mulled over a moment where she wanted to go. "I could use an iced coffee blend first then the Chinese theater."

Celest had no idea who the actress mentioned was but luckily June gave to context of Cinderella so Celest had to assume Broadway cause she doubted the other girl meant whoever did the voice in the old Disney cartoon. "Trust me...I have no urge to be a princess either," Celest said. Although she supposed some of her costumes were princess like sometimes, she had no desire to be a Cinderella type princess. It just wasn't her style.
"This is true," Celest said. After all, even if any of her fabric turned up ruined, that could be easily replaced. As for body parts, those were harder, so it was good that neither of them were hurt, although they probably both needed to learn a lesson in paying attention to where they were going since neither girl had been watching.
"I suppose you're right," Celest said. "There is a Coffee Bean, just over there," she said. "I just passed it. Coffee Beans are only in California I guess but I like it way better than Starbucks," she explained, figuring it would hurt to get an ice blended vanilla coffee. After all, if she wasn't going to be getting home till later now, she'd need the energy to work later since she still planned on getting a large part of her latest costume creation finished today.
"But the Chinese Theatre is in Hollywood...we're in downtown right now," Celest said. "I can show you which bus you'll need to get there. It's right next to one of the big intersections in Hollywood so its pretty easy to get to. In fact, if you jump on the subway over at 7th and Fig which is only a few blocks away, you can take the red line to Hollywood and Highland where the Chinese theatre is," Celest explained to the other girl, who was probably lucky she'd ran into (quite literally) Celest of all people, since she had a better sense of public transportation in LA. Most people in LA seemed to drive everywhere but without a license Celest didn't always have that luxury and it was hard to get rides from her parents and older siblings since most of them had no interest in going to places like the fabric district downtown. So needless to say, Celest had learned the bus systems and the subway systems so whenever she wanted to get somewhere she could just take care of it on her own.
