Jay was doing good. Really good, until the devil comment. With that his fist clenched. "You have no idea who the devil really is boy." Jay said in a low angry voice. "Don't ever...say that to me again trust me. I have seen the devil and it sure as hell is not me." He said as if he had spoken from experience. "Do not talk about what you know nothing about." Jay barked. He could not help it.
Lucky for him Lexi started talking, or else he would have punched the dork. he almost had punched the door. especially for how he talked to Lexi. If Lexi listened to him then everything was over and Jay would not lose Lexi to this guy. forget it. Jay was not about to lose to a dork who probably thought a fun date was going to the science museum. Talk about boring.
Wynn was lucky. He must have a guardian Angel cause when Jay was deadly silent, which he was after he spoke his words, it was not a good thing. Just ask the people who know him best. His past was not something he could deal with. Not now, and not here and relating Jay to the devil, just brought his past out like a torch with a big sign that said look at me.
Jay felt his body being pulled and before he new it the dork was replaced by a bathroom mirror and Lexi's soft voice. Jay was still reeling from the comment, his fist still clenched as he heard Lexi talking. "Wynn is exactly like that. A jealous boy, who is mad cause he didn't get the girl. can't blame him for being jealous over you." jay commented, "But that kid needs to learn to shut his mouth. He has no idea what he said out there..." Jay said.
He had been brought back to the past and that was not a good thing. "The devil...Ha..I met the devil. The devil called himself daddy. For so many years I put up with the devil. I am not the devil I lived with him and I will never be him." Jay said getting some water and splashing it on his face to literally wipe away whatever emotions were infiltrating his face...embarrassment, shame, grief, hurt, and fear....

"Well then he's a vampire, his true colors will come out once you two are alone and the moon is full!" Wynn shot back. He couldn't believe Lexi was talking like she was. What was wrong with being a good person?
Wynn could feel the dark rain clouds forming around his head and that was when the lightening struck. Her words not only stabbed Wynn dead center of his chest but they also poured salt and lemon juice into the wound. He could feel his eyes slowly welling up. "You--you don't mean that Lexi." He didn't want to believe her words. What happened to the girl who made him feel like he was on top of the world the other day?
He watched as Lexi led Jay away.
The words coming from Jay's mouth seemed to just blend in to the background, but they didn't sound like the words people want to hear. He wandered aimlessly into the crowd, feeling numb.
He found an empty bench that faced the ocean. He watched a couple running down the beach laughing, then a small child whose face was coated with cotton candy grinning from ear. He couldn't take it anymore.
He slammed his bag to the ground, kicking it a few times before muttering, "Damn it all!" He flopped down and buried his head into his hands.

Lexi didn't believe what Jay said about Wynn and even before she could oppose, Jay started to talk about his dad which surprised Lexi. She dropped her jacket as he washed his own face. She didn't know what to do to console him. She wanted to tell him that it would be okay...things always turn out right in the end but Lexi didn't know that. She certainly didn't want to lie about it. Not to Jay. He opened up to her when she least expected it. Her act was compromised as the sweet Lexi came out.
She turned Jay about and even though it was so not the most romantic place in the world [men's bathroom? Really?] Lexi pulled Jay down to her height and placed a soft kiss on his lips for a brief moment before pulling away just in time for the whoots from behind her. She blushed furiously before grabbing her jacket and getting out of the toilet, leaving Jay in there to fend for himself. What was she thinking?
She walked over to where the wind was picking up and in the corner of her eye, she saw Wynn on a bench in the position similar to the one he had adopted the first time they met. Her heart ached, knowing that she was part of [or solely] the reason why he was like that. But he said things that didn't make sense to her. She didn't understand why he would do that to a sweet albeit rough around the edges kind of guy like Jay.
Of course, she didn't even know Wynn had feelings for her. She thought that ship sailed a while ago because he didn't make a move on her. Should she have waited for him? No...if she did, she would probably have been devastated to find that he probably didn't have the same feelings like she did. Lexi hated herself at that moment, losing herself in a haze of boys, letting it control her like this.
Should she leave now? Jay probably didn't want to see her after that stupid stunt she pulled. She couldn't go to Wynn because he'd probably reject her and then what could she do? Hole herself up in her room with Pip's taunts and images of being rejected over and over again in her mind?
She leaned against a lamp post and looked out to the ocean. It wasn't turning out to be the fun-filled date Jay promised. It was unforgettable though...but not in the way Lexi had hoped it to be.
[OOC: I so did not realise that it was my turn to post. Me=silly. Sowwy!]

The kiss quickly melted what ever anger Jay had. How could it not. A kiss from a beautiful girl could be a very powerful weapon. His ramblings forgotten all he saw was the retreating form of Lexi as he stood there stunned she had done that. Jay eyed the other guys shutting them up quickly. He turned and continued to wash himself off. Was Lexi worth any more trouble? This date was suppose to be fun and help him make out with her, but all it had done was disappoint Lexi in the beginning, leading to him getting this stick goo in his face and being told off by a dwarf.
Jay finally got the last bit out of his hair, but he was still a bit sticky, as least he wasn't purple, or blue, or what ever color it was. Jay did smell nice. He smelled like wild berry or something. He could not name it. Sure a lot of what the dwarf said was true, but still. Jay did not think any man should ruin someone elses date. Jay was not a guy to be messed with and come Monday this Wynn character would be sorry he said one damn word.
Jay walked out of the men's room and scanned the crowd. Lexi was no where to be seen. He did spot the dwarf and smiled that the kid looked torn. Good for him. It's what he deserves for bing a little punk. Finally Jay spotted the girl. She was kind of hard to miss. Okay so that was a lie. it took many other distractions to spot her. Jay walked over and smiled, "Hiding from me? You ready to continue?" he asked her holding his hand out. "We are not done yet." He said wanting to lead her away from her..from him.
"That kiss will need to be redone without you running away. That was a first for me." Jay commented. "nice lips, very soft." he said to her ans eyed her. "Come on, you ready to go?" He asked softly. He was back, his facade back up and he was ready to keep going.

Once the tears had subsided, Wynn looked up and wiped his eyes. There was no way he was going to lose Lexi, not to the likes of Ken Doll!
he started to gather his things when he heard some godawful singing near by, that had to mean one thing, someone was doing karaoke!
He followed the music till he found where it was being held. On stage was a drunk girl who was trying to sing the Alphabet song and fumbling along with it. Wynn sighed and shook his head.
He decided to flip through the book when he saw a song that he had heard once but it was enough for him to download it to his IPOD.
He turned in his request to the DJ.
The DJ set things up and announced. "Next up is Wynn and he's dedicating this song, and a good song at that, to Lexi." The crowd gave sporadic applause.
The song began.
"In a very unusual way One time I needed you Ina very unusual way You were my friend Maybe it lasted a day Maybe it lasted an hour But somehow it will never end
In a very unusual way I think I'm in love with you In a very unusual way I want to cry Something inside me goes weak Something inside me surrenders And you're the reason why, you're the reason why You don't know what you do to me You don't have a clue You can't tell what it's like to be me looking at you It scares me so that I can hardly speak In a very unusual way I owe what I am to you Thought at times it appears I won't stay I never go Special to me in my life Since the first day that I met you How could I ever forget you Once you had touched my soul?
In a very unusual way You made me whole."
There was that moment of silence then the crowd went wild.
Among the crowd was a brown haired girl who was taken with his song.
Wynn didn't notice her, but something would bring them together.

When Jay appeared beside her, Lexi was surprised but pleased. She would have thought the cute boy would just leave her due to the stupid drama she had entangled herself in. She never thought Wynn would react that way and she still didn't want to believe what Jay had said earlier about Wynn liking her. It was ludicrous to even think it. Girls like her just don't have the luxury to get good guys like Wynn Sumner. It just wasn't possible.
His compliment made her smile and when he held out his hand, Lexi took it willingly. "Wouldn't know where to hide from you, Jay." She said a little softly. They walked around a bit and shared a corn dog and a soda. When she was nearing a stage, Lexi heard her name being called out and she turned to look for who it was. As she got closer she saw Wynn on stage, his voice clear and rang through the audience that had grown practically silent.
Lexi didn't even know Wynn could sing but apparently today was a day full of surprises. Her hand momentarily dropped to her side from Jay's hand as she listened through his song. And even when everybody started clapping, Lexi just stood there stunned, unaware of the tears that were treacling down her cheeks. How could she not have cried? The words were just too powerful not to have touched her somehow.
Was it true? Was he in love with her? How could he? She had been a jerk to him. Angrily, she wiped her tears. Part of her was angry that Wynn hadn't told her earlier. Before she met Jay. Before this stupid power surge. And of course mostly she was angry with herself. Why hadn't she just waited? Right...it was too hard for her to have seen Mew and Bree together. She didn't want that heartbreak to go on.
And Jay had been such a gentleman. She didn't want him to think she was ungrateful for him putting up with her playing hard to get. She didn't want to anymore. As long as Jay continued this, Lexi would be his...for now. "Come on Jay...I just want to leave...take me anywhere you want to take me just...let's just get away from here. Please?"

When Jay heard the name over the speakers he inwardly cringed. Didn't this guy realize it was over? Done? He had won and the other guy lost. No. This prick had to sing a stupid song. It only worked in movies pal. Thats what Jay wanted to yell, but he didn't. he just stayed silent glaring at the man as he sang. The crowd went wild and jay wanted punch everyone of their faces in.
He was almost worried Lexi would bolt toward the guy, but Jay should have known not to be worried. He should have known that at the end of the day girls would always want him, over skinny punks like the guys who name he already forget. Jay looked at Lexi and smiled, "Of course. Let's go." He told her and led her away from the pier and away from the man who just humiliated himself on stage for nothing.
"We can continue this date next weekend. For now, why don't we grab some dinner and just have a calm evening okay. Maybe a walk on the beach after the dinner." Jay suggested as he opened his car door for her. It sucked that his plans were ruined. The great date down the drain. Oh that little punk would pay, but right now jay would focus on Lexi. Make her feel special and make sure she forgot all about whats his name.
