[Continuation of last TCs thread. Click here!] Laughing at Jay's description of his own grandmother, Lexi bumped her shoulder against his as they got closer to the drop tower. His promise of being a gentleman was noted with a nod and a smirk. Lexi wanted to believe him and a part of her scarily thought he was not kidding. There were a lot of things about Jay that she was scared of, and probably the worst part was that even after this half date, she was beginning to like Jay more than she thought she would. With Mew it took her a lot longer to realise she was supposedly in love. That was what scared her the most. "Something cooler than a rotten egg...you could always be a chilled rotten egg," she shrugged playfully as she strapped herself on to the seat. While Jay climbed in next to her, apparently impressed by her, she beamed more to herself than anything. She took pride in being a girl who didn't shy away from letting loose, even if it was only on a small ride like this. "Oh feel free to do that yourself, Jay. I mean...not everyone can handle the drop tower." She teased back, really loving the attention Jay was displaying. As they waited for the carnie to start the ride, Lexi listened intently as he laid out his plans for them. She knew which ride he was talking about and it was quite a tame ride. At least for her. Then the shoulder strap went down over them and she hardly heard his last sentence as they went up. Blinking a bit she turned and grinned at Jay. "You're about to find out." And without prior warning, the ride that was famous for its free falls dropped them down, making Lexi laugh like a nut as her feet and hands were pulled up by gravity. Once the ride was finished, Lexi was pretty nimble on her feet even though her heart was pounding against her rib cage. "Okay...so what's next?"

"A chilled rotten egg. come on, can't you make me a lollipop, something everyone loves." Jay commented smiling as they approached the ride. He slide in and got situated as she slide next to him. He smiled, "I might just hold your hand cause I want to." he winked as the shoulder pads came down and the lap bar got secured. before Jay knew it the ride was going up.
Then it plunged down with out warning. Jay had sent he ride enough times to know what it was like, but even he had butterflies in his stomach as the ride went up and up and up. His hands also went to the air as it came down fast and came to a halt at the bottom. It was a cool ride. One he would not mind going on again. He was very impressed with Lexi.
Was Jay crushing? That was to remain to be seen. Right now he was just trying to keep her attention on him and not guys like Tyler. Jay was very confident he could show Lexi a good time and get her to agree to a second date. He grabbed her hands as they got off the ride.
"Next part of the date is something to eat and then onto...." he paused. "Perhaps I should wait a bit and let you be surprised." He said smiling at her. "If i told you now it would ruin everything. A girl like you I am sure enjoys a little mystery." Jay liked mysteries. Cause it always guaranteed someone was left excited and waiting.
Jay was really enjoying this date. At the beginning he was not sure he would have liked it, but LExi was keeping him on his toes. He felt the need to really impress her. Maybe because it would be a shot to his ego if he didn't but that was besides the point. The point of this date was to end with a kiss, a happy girl and a second date.

"How do you even know if everyone would love you even if you were a lollipop?" She responded, knowing thr argument was going to grow stale if they kept it up so Lexi poked his shoulder. "Whatever you are, you lost to a girl. That's that. Deal with it." She chuckled.
Oh finally something to eat, thought Lexi. She had really worked up an appetite being on all those rides. She wondered where he was going to take her. She just hoped it wasn't anything fancy or needed too much preparation. Right then, she could settle for just a big juicy cheesy hamburger with lots of pickles and cheese. Or a hot dog. She could go for a hot dog.
"A little mystery never hurt," She agreed with Jay, a smile on her face. The hand holding was something she still needed to get used to but he had warm hands. Not the kind that induces sweaty palms but just...someone you want to hold your hand when it's cold...Oih, Lexi. Get your head in the game. You're supposed to leave him wanting more, not the other way around!
Slipping her hand out of his grasp, she ran to the hot dog stand. "You're buying right?" She smirked at him before ordering two hot dogs. Jay might think she's a pig but she didn't care. She loved eating and she knew how to shed the pounds easy so it wasn't like she was going to let herself go. "Extra mustard please." She grinned at the man behind the stall.

LJ was quite a character. She made Roger Rabbit look calmed and collected. Wynn thought as he drove to the pier to spend the rest of the night, since it wasn't that late.
He sat drawing the sunset, blending the reds with the orange combined with what was left the blue sky and stars twinkling like Lexi's eyes did the day they had met.
Lexi.
Wynn sighed, why was he having such a problem with her talking to Tyler? It was just that, they were just talking or was there more? It bugged him to no end. At least until he heard a familiar voice.
He looked over at the hot dog stand. There she was and with some other guy! This was SO not happening!! He pushed his things into his bag and blended in with the crowd so Lexi couldn't see him, at least not yet.
He went to a stand selling slushies, and he ordered an extra large blue raspberry. This was not to drink, it was time to take any popular kids down a notch or four.
He started to weave through the crowd till he was at the couple. He wasn't mad at Lexi, just the idea she wasn't with him.
"Hey hot stuff maybe this will cool you off!" As if in slow motion, the drink flew from the cup, hitting Jay in the face. Droplets flying over his head and dripping from his face to his shirt.
Wynn dropped the cup and stood for a moment with a triumphant look on his face. That was when he realized what happened.
"Shit..." he uttered, almost froze with fright.

"But I lost to a cute girl. So it was worth it to me." besides he had been behind her the whole time, which meant his eyes were able to see that nice, little perky ass of hers. So he had not lost at all in his mind. He had won. He just nodded with her mystery comment. Thats what she was doing, being a mystery to him.
Jay could not help but enjoy a girl who seemed to be playing hard to get or something. he watched her run off to the hot dog stand and followed behind her. he watched her order. "of course I am buying. get what ever you want. I like a girl who knows how to eat." he said. He could not handle girls with bones sticking out of places where they should not be seen.
"Two with relish and ketchup." Jay ordered. He reached for his wallet to pay when he heard someone say hot stuff and then he felt something cold on his face. He used his hands to wipe it from his eyes. it was sweet and sticky. Then he grabbed napkins from the stand and wiped his face. The goo still in his hair, on his shirt, and it was starting to get sticky on the sides of his face.
He glared at the nerd standing in front of him. Now Jay was pissed off, but he knew Lexi was standing there. So did jay fly off the handle or keep his calm. he just looked. "I believe you dropped you drink on my face." he said. "I am sure you tripped, happens all the time." He said, trying to make it seem as if it was not done on purpose. "I should watch where I stand from now on." He said a tense smile on his face but his eyes still glared.
(OOC: I had a dream last night of going on a ride with a free fall drop..thanks a lot Nu..and good going Les..now my advice...run next time you meet jay alone)

"Uhh yeah that's what..." Wynn started to say until his eyes shifted over to Lexi, who was probably in a state of shock by his actions. He swallowed the lump in his throat. Now was the time to stand up for himself, no matter how sever the punishment.
"No, that's not what happened," He tried to keep his voice calm. "I've seen guys like you, and you only have one thing on your mind." He was shaking like an autumn leaf on a tree. "You think just because a girl is sweet and nice, that she's just right for the harvesting a-a-and when you get tired of her, you move on to someone else!"
Normally this would be the time on tv, when the audience would start wooing and and yelling things like "You tell 'em boy!" or "You show him who's boss!" but alas there was no audience perse just a few people looking and wondering what was going on before milling about their business.
"I-I-I have just one thing to say to you," now was the moment, this was like the dream of saving the princess! "You just...just back away from her." Wynn stood his ground, despite how shaky it had become.

Jay was full of surprises, Lexi thought to herself with a little smile. So the guy didn't care that she ate a lot. He even ordered two for himself. So today wasn't such a bad day after all. She was just about to bite into her hot dog when she heard a familiar voice followed by a cold splat on her forehead. The slushie facial Jay got was way worst than the blob currently trickling down the side of her face. She turned to look at who had thrown the drink and saw none other than Wynn Sumner. What was he doing here?
She couldn't help notice how in control Jay was but it didn't help matters that the boy she had thought was supposedly sweet was giving a speech about her being ripe for harvesting and having Jay step away from her... What was going on? "Wynn..." her voice came out surprised and surprisingly angry. Her eyebrows had furrowed and she was now trying to soak up the sticky wet stuff off of Jay's face.
"What the hell, Wynn?" she exclaimed once she'd gotten off the worst from Jay's hair and face. She turned to Wynn with a deep frown. "How did you even know I was here? What's going on?" She turned back to Jay. "Are you okay? We need to wash you up."

Jay had been in control, trying not to act like an aggressive jerk in front of Lexi. Now if this kid was that dumb ass his sister was dating he would have pummeled the guy to the ground. But only one thing helped Jay keep cool and that was the fact he was on a date and he was not stupid. If Jay played it cool, then the dork Wynn would look like the jackass, which is what Jay wanted. However, as Wynn started talking Jay took a step forward showing his body being more built then the scrawny guy.
Jay was about to say something, but Lexi beat him to it. The anger in her voice toward the Wynn character is what brought Jay back from punching the kid. He took a step back and turned toward Lexi. He smiled at her, "Can't lie, I am not thrilled about this and I am pissed, but I am fine. It actually tastes kind of good. You should try it." Jay winked with a smirk, " We should each get one later." Jay said to her.
Then he looked back at Wynn, "I have one thing to say to you.....go now." He told him. "We are busy." Jay said. He gave Wynn a look that said watch your back. Jay was not about to lose his cool. Not as long as Lexi was mad at Wynn and not him. Jay could use that. He would get the punk back later. He was humiliated in front of Lexi and he did want to retaliate, but not now. Wynn better count his lucky stars Lexi was there.
"I think you made your point clear and why I appreciate you looking out for Lexi...I am not taking advantage of or doing anything to hurt her. Lexi can make up her own mind about me." Jay said to Wynn as calmly as he could. He turned back to Lexi. "Shall we continue our evening?"

"I didn't know I just came to unwind after working and I see you with...with, mister fashion plate." He pointed at Jay. "You could do so much better than him." Wynn meant that as it sounded.
The guy Lexi was with was just a few inches shorter than Wynn but had a bit more muscle size on him. The old Wynn would have walked away, tail tucked between his legs. This time it was different. He ignored the comment about trying one of the drinks, Wynn knew what he meant!
"No, I'm tired of being a floor mat for guys like you. You all have that same mentality, I saw it with Tyler yesterday and I'm seeing it now! You think because I don't have a certain build or lots of money I'm just a scarecrow to toss around. No more! You're no better than the devil himself!"
Wynn had no idea about Jay's background otherwise he would have retracted that statement immeaditly.
"Lexi, think. Think about what you told me the other day." This was a last hope for Wynn. "Just think, please."

"Really, Wynn?" She asked scathingly. She was beginning to feel just that bit of desperation she had wanted to avoid after the whole incident with Mew. "I don't see any other guys knocking down my door. And Jay's been a perfect gentleman the whole day. You're not giving credit where it's due. You don't even know him!" She exclaimed.
When he mentioned Tyler, Lexi was a bit surprised. Was he there when she was talking to Tyler? That's bad...that's really bad. And when Wynn told Jay he was not better than the devil, Lexi thought it was a bit too much. Then again, she didn't know Jay's background either.
His pleading brought her to the first day they met. She wasn't being true to herself. She was just throwing away her dignity and Wynn saw that. Why didn't she? Because she wanted to forget. She wanted to forget that look Anderson had on his face when he thought she had slept with Hunt. She wanted to forget what it had felt like when she saw Bree leaning against Mew like that...she just wanted to forget ever being nice. It didn't get her anywhere. Look at Pip. She was nothing like Lexi and so many guys were lining up to be with her and a lot of the other girls wanted to be her.
"I..." she stopped and her hand dropped from Jay's face to her side. She looked at Wynn desperately before turning to Jay. She gave him a little smile before turning to Wynn. "I'm sorry...you don't know me Wynn..." her heart broke at his expression but she needed to stop caring. Caring didn't get her anywhere...It certainly didn't get her Mew. Or Anderson. Or...Wynn. For the first time in her life, someone actually took the time to be with her. He gave her attention. And it felt good. Was that a crime?
She wanted to believe that she wasn't going to be the one with the broken heart again. Not again. She wanted to believe she was calling the shots in this...whatever she was having with Jay. She was in control. At least, that's what she believed. "Wynn...I have to wash Jay up. I'll talk to you later." She said before pulling Jay towards the toilets. She took a last look at Wynn, her full palate of emotions showing on her face before going to the washroom.
Not even thinking of it, she pushed Jay into the men's washroom, knowing females would be more likely to scream than guys would. She took off her cropped jacket and sopped it with water before running it through Jay's hair and face. "I'm so sorry, Jay...Wynn's...Wynn's not like that." Or so she thought. She'd just met the guy and what she had seen was probably not enough to really show who he was.
