It usually never failed. Every time Jamie climbed the tree and opened the window Gray was either smoking, getting ready to smoke, or finished smoking. Always. He was always home, but this time. There was no grayson. Jamie climbed up the window and this time successfully made it through the window with out hurting her ass, but there was no Grayson in sight. That was so not cool.
Jamie took it upon herself to search the house. she knew his mother and sister. They were both very nice. Although Gray's mother would prefer Jamie use the door, the woman was use to the younger girl enough to know Jamie never did things the easy way. It was just not as much fun. So it was no surprise to find Jamie in the house not having come through the front door. Smiles were exchanged and Grayson's mother said he had gone out and Jamie could wait in his room.
Jamie headed back that way closing the door and plopping down onto gray's bed. She turned on the TV and started watching it as she rolled herself a nice blunt. She would wait. She had no problem with making herself feel like she was at home. Jamie knew she was safe as long as she did not touch gray's stash. She usually brought her own anyway.
All the sudden Jamie heard the door open and close behind her. She had taken a few hits by now and turned around to see Gray. She sat up on his bed and smiled, "Surprise." She said laughing. She took in his appearance, he looked a little disheveled and wet. She just shurgged it off until he got closer. "Dude, are you wearing lipstick, cause that is so not your color." Jamie was not sure if she was imagining it or not.
"Are you wet too?" She asked looking at him. Maybe her eyes were playing tricks on her. "You going to just stand there or join me for a lovely high feeling." Jamie held the blunt out toward Gray waiting. She wondered where he had been. the answer was in the light shade of lipstick on his lips and for some reason Jamie felt the need to growl at it, cause it meant he had been doing something, and Jamie could not help but feel the slightest amount of jealousy.

After what seemed like an hour of walking, Gray finally got his boxers dried enough to get his jeans on and then his shirt. It was mighty awkward having to look away from passersby who gave him looks of disapproval at his lack of clothing. He was still a little damp though as he walked into his house with no shoes on. His mom and sister were nowhere to be found so he walked straight to his room. He couldn't wait to just crawl into bed to sleep off the remains of his drug induced haze.
He wasn't surprised to see Jamie already high in his bed. Well, at least it would make for a good night's sleep. But she mentioned the lipstick and his wet state so he tried wiping his lips on his shirt only to find his shirt smeared with a faint pink tint. "I knew that cosmetics department was trying to sell me shit." He didn't know why he didn't want to tell Jamie the truth about what he'd done. It was clear what he had done but he didn't want to own up to it. Not to Jamie. He didn't know why...
The question she brought forth brought a smile on his face. Now here's a girl who could take care of him. He took off his shirt jeans before going to the bathroom to get out of his boxers only to get into some shorts and a gray wife beater. He crawled into bed and took a long drag from Jamie's spliff before lying down to blow smoke circles in the air.
"Jamie..." he said after a few moments of silence. "I don't...look like I could wreck things between two people...right?" It was a bit too deep for a talk between two smoking buddies but the thought crossed his mind and he wasn't able to stop the words coming out of his mouth.

Jamie could not help but let here eyes wonder as she watched Grayson strip out of his clothes. She smiled and laid back on the bed as he disappeared. When he came back she had finished taking a hit as she handed it to him, "Nice to know you have a career as a male stripper." She smirked and looked at him. Jamie was feeling very nice. She was mellow and had her own bag of M&M's on Gray's dresser.
She took the blunt back from Gray got took another hit and handed it back when he started to talk. Now Jamie had chosen not to comment on the cosmetic line. There was no denying he had been with another girl, but she felt no need to say anything else, mostly cause she could not trust what would have come out of her mouth and she had no right to sound jealous when she wasn't dating Grayson.
However, what he said about wrecking things too her by surprise. Jamie had never heard Gray sound so deep. Not high at least, she had heard it sober. She moved closer laying down so her body was half on top and half to the side. Her leg crossed over his and her finger began to draw circles and other shapes on his chest.
"Not consciously. Not unless you really liked the girl." She commented. "I know you Gray and i know you would never intentionally come between two people unless you had a damn good reason." She said to him smiling. "So don't worry. Be happy. You are a good guy and what ever got that thought in your head, get it out now, cause its a lie. You do not wreck anything." She said softly and leaned over placing a kiss to Gray's cheek.

Letting the male stripper comment slide, Gray closed his eyes as Jamie responded to his question. Of course he liked Eden but not in the way Jamie might be implying. Eden was like...she was a friend, enough said. What had transpired between them earlier was an error in judgment. And lack of inhibition. It shouldn't make him feel bad that her...whatever Jett was to her, had caught them in the hot tub. Should it?
He opened his eyes in time to see her smile. He responded in kind, wanting to run his fingers through her hair for some reason but he refrained. For now. When she kissed him, her whole body moved upwards until she was practically on top of him. It felt good, the peck on the cheek. It wasn't as intense as the make-out session he had had with Eden earlier but it was by far more intimate than anything else he'd ever been kissed. Especially by Jamie.
Taking another hit, Gray turned to his said and turned Jamie around so he was spooning her again. They seemed to be doing alot of this as of late. "My dad's sick..." he said suddenly. He didn't know why he had to tell her this. All Jamie knew was that ever since they met, he had never mentioned a father so she assumed that he was just out of the picture. And now Gray's telling her all his secrets. What was wrong with him?

Jamie wanted to know where this sort of talk was coming from. it was not like Grayson to be so worried about wrecking people. She just smiled at him. To let him know she was here. She was his friend and he could talk about anything to her. Even if she didn't want to hear it. By that she meant she didn't want to know exactly what he was doing and who it was with. She would prefer he plead the fifth, but she would not stop him.
Jamie felt him move her body like a pro. It was so cute, the way he just flopped her over and pulled her against him so the were spooning. She grabbed his hand lacing her fingers through his and using her free hand to move her nails lightly along his arm just playing. She heard the few words he spoke and she looked back at him. Her body still in spooning position just her head turned back.
Gray has never mentioned his father, she had not even known what to think about him. She assumed he was out of the picture. "Gray thats awful, are you okay? How sick?" Like would he get better...or not. Cause the latter would be much harder to deal with but she was there to help. "How can I help you?" Jamie's eyes met his. The haze of the high still in their eyes but the conversation was understood at this moment. "How can I make you feel better? You know you can talk to me." She said softly.

Jamie was making him feel good. Really good. Her fingernails scraping against his arms like that... Her concern jolted him back to the present. He seriously could not believe he just told her about his dad. Why he had the need to, he didn't even know. And now this was happening. It didn't help matters that he was thinking about the things Jamie could do to make him feel better. Blinking away the pleasant thoughts, Gray shook his head. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything. I...there's a reason why I never even said anything before." He closed his eyes and buried his face in her hair, loving her girl smell filtering through his nose. Her soft tone was new to him but not unwelcomed. "Just be here when I wake up?" He didn't like being clingy but Jamie brought out those feelings in him somehow. She didn't even seem to mind that he was doing it. He wasn't tired but his mind was shutting off. But not before he mumbled a few words that he wasn't even sure of himself. And if Jamie heard, hopefully she would think nothing of it. "Love being with you." [OOC: So Gray's gone off to sleep but the thread is by no means over just reply and then by my next post, he'll wake up again !]

"Don't be sorry. Don't ever be sorry for talking to me." Jamie said. "I am glad you told me." She said softly. "i will be here." Normally she would leave. Jamie kissed his forehead and turned around moving closer against his body. She felt sad for Grayson, because she knew how hard those words must have been to say. "Just rest now." she coo's quietly. "I will even sing you my favorite song, which is embarrassing because it's a kid song, but I love it. So don't laugh, but it's Feed the birds from that show Marry Poppins." She said through her Australian accent.
The song really was embarrassing, but Jamie could not help it. Even as a sixteen year old girl, Mary Poppins was her favorite movie. Since Gray shared something deep and personal with her, she choose to return the favor. Although his was more emotional, but Jamie's was embarrassing. Gray could so embarrass her later for this, but with Grayson it was a chance she was willing to take.
Jamie was about to sing when a few words infiltrated her ears. She was shocked and froze. Her body stiff in Gray's arms. What did those words mean? Did she say something? Her heart began to pound. Her first instinct was to flee, but she stayed right there like she promised. Jamie took a deep breath and just replied, "Love being with you too." She said to a sleeping Grayson. Then she sang.
(OOC: I love this song and for some reason it seemed perfect for her to share it. Lyrics are: Mary Poppins: Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's The little old bird woman comes In her own special way to the people she call, "Come, buy my bags full of crumbs; Come feed the little birds, Show them you care And you'll be glad if you do Their young ones are hungry Their nests are so bare All it takes is tuppence from you Feed the birds, tuppence a bag Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag Feed the birds," that's what she cries While overhead, her birds fill the skies
All around the cathedral the saints and apostles Look down as she sells her wares Although you can't see it, You know they are smiling Each time someone shows that he cares
Though her words are simple and few Listen, listen, she's calling to you "Feed the birds, tuppence a bag Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag")

Gray woke up with a song stuck in his head. He was humming it as he woke up. It had to be late at night. He turned his body slightly so that he could look at the clock over his dresser. And he was right. Two o'clock in the morning. His mother must have been in here. But she would have woken him up. Why didn't she? She must still be angry with him for just storming out on her. He groaned for being such an idiot. Looking to his left, the long dark hair immediately made him smile. She stayed. Then memories from earlier flitted through his mind. Good God what did he say? Gray slowly pulled his arm from under her, trying hard not to wake her up. Sitting up, he stretched before wiping his face with both hands, wondering if he said or did anything to implicate their relationship...whatever it was. But she had stayed...surely it wasn't anything bad. He quietly got up and washed his face and teeth before padding downstairs to make himself a sandwich. There was a note on the fridge door indicating there was food in the microwave. Gray smiled softly before heating the beef lasagna his mom had made before bringing it upstairs to his room. Jamie was still asleep so he sat on his beanbag chair and bit by bit ate his half so the other half was for Jamie. Which was a bit ridiculous seeing that Jamie was still asleep. But he just waited. [OOC: Two things come to mind when someone mentions Mary Poppins to me. Supercalifragelisticespialidocious and 'A Spoonful of Sugar'. But nice touch ]

Jamie watch Grayson as he fell asleep. She had been running her fingers over his head smiling as she sung. He was adorable as he slept. It warmed her heart. Those words still rolling around in her head. Hell she had said them back, but what did they mean? That was the problem. She could not figure it out. Did he mean them in a friend way or more then friends? It's not like she could ask him either cause he was sleeping and she didn't want to disturb his peaceful sleep.
Jamie laid down and snuggled close to Grayson. She stayed like that until she fell asleep. Throwing her int a dream filled with Grayson's face. it was an odd but interesting dream. Gray and her were thrusted into the woods, but it was an island. Both stranded on there. Gray her tour guide taking her on a journey through the woods.
The dream ended in a way she never wanted to forget and not one that should be shared. Soon the smell of food filled the air and at first Jamie was sure she was in a dream, cause she was surrounded by food. None of them were what smelled so good. Slowly her eyes opened and she continued to smell it. Jamie blinked and rubbed her eyes. She felt the spot next to her which was empty and for a brief moment Jamie wondered if Gray had left her this time and she sat up in the bed. But then she remembered this was his house.
Jamie sighed knowing Gray was still here in the house. Then she turned and looked across the room. Her eyes met his as she looked at him eating and sitting in the beanbag chair. Something was in the air, something was happening in this moment as they looked at each other, some moment, some connection. At least for Jamie. "Morning sunshine." She said even though it was only 2am.

The look on her face told him immediately that whatever he said has effected their relationship. Good or bad, he wasn't entirely sure but it had changed their dynamic. He took deep breaths to calm himself down as he watched her move on his bed. She looked like she belonged there. On his bed. In his life...it was uncanny. And that scared him. He didn't want things to change. Not with Jamie.
Maybe he was overthinking it. Maybe Jamie wasn't even thinking that at all. Maybe Jamie was just looking at the lasagna. He smiled before responding to her. "Morning. I have lasagna...you want?" He asked, extending the plate of cheesy meaty goodness to her. When she made no plans to move, he crawled over to her on his knees and placed the plate on the bed and cut up a small piece for her, handing her the fork.
"My mom made it so it's safe." He grinned. He still couldn't help but feel the change in the air. It wasn't necessarily bad but Gray didn't like change. And yesterday, everything did. His mother didn't know it but he knew that his father was going to be in their lives again no matter what he said. And then here Jamie was, being a perfectly good friend and he seemed to want to ruin it because of the change.
He should just stop thinking. It never did him much good anyway.
