"When do you expect to come back?" Christophe's mother asked.
"Not too late," he replied. "I'll set off early and meet with Sarissa and her friend in time for breakfast." He had to admit he wasn't at all sure what would happen from there on but it was Sunday and so he had the entire day at his disposal. The aquarium was closed and so he didn't have to work and while he still had to finish painiting that boat at the Santa Monica Boat Charter company Mr Peterson had given him the time off.
"Go have fun," the sun and salt-creased man had told Christophe and the French boy intended to do precisely that.
He settled down to finish his evening meal before heading out for a walk, Renard at his side. Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough for him but, with luck, he'd run into someone he knew tonight. Even better luck to have that person NOT be Lia's brother as Saint was sure to have found out about their break up by now. He had no idea, of course, that Lia and her brothers had left town.
"Come on," he said to his husky puppy who panted up adoringly - as usual - at Christophe. Life moved on but at least some parts of it were constant! They headed out towards the beach and for some much-needed exercise. Tomoorow should be fun... assuming a) Tyler didn't mind him crashing their party and b) the ceremony Sarissa had mentioned wouldn't make him look entirely stupid. He had a feeling he might be wrong on both counts.
* * *
He was on his way back home once more when his phone warbled softly. A text. Christophe rummaged in a pocket. Lia? His heart jumped slightly... but no. It was from Sarissa. He peered at her message... Join them this evening? It would certainly save him from an early morning start... Why not? He could only take that as meaning she'd run it past Tyler as well...
Christophe strode back home and threw a few items into a bag. Within the hour he was on the road... and looking for those deer statues...

After making out a little more, and giving Tyler a bit more of a chance to touch her body, more then she had before, a lot more. Sari knew giving in was getting harder by the moment. Yes she knew how to play this game, but at the same time, she also knew she could only take it so far before it came at a point where either Tyler would get sick of it (if that was even possible) or she would in fact give in. However, that was not going to be an option this time. hence her text to Christophe.
Sari had come dangerously close to giving in. Tyler had gotten to allow his hands to roam, a lot. So Tyler was making head way, cause he sure got a bit intimate, but Sari was not ready to go to the next step. So she decided to tell Christophe to come over earlier. That was not the only reason of course. The Chief wanted this new white french man here to partake in yet another ceremony. The Chief loved teaching outsiders. Also the chief loved getting other people more involved.
The native American tribes were barely heard of and this was a way to spread the word. sari left Tyler while he showered. It's not like she snuck out, she changed and then left the room. She told Tyler she would. An hour later she was helping to prepare dinner. Christophe should be here with in the hour and Tyler was being talked to by some of the women.
The ceremony tonight was about sacrifice. About honoring the animal that has laid down it's life to feed the tribe. Christophe and Tyler would get to play the hunter and the animal. In a story told through a play of sorts. Then after dinner was a camp fire with more stories, some music, dancing and other fun stuff. Something to bring the tribe together. It was going to be a good night.
Sari smiled as she walked over to Tyler, "Excuse me ladies I need to borrow him for a moment." The ladies looked a bit upset and she just smiled more as she led back toward where the cooking was taking place. "Enjoying yourself this evening. By the way I forgot to mention, that a visitor from school is stopping by for the night." Christophe should be there by now.

It might not have been sex, and it certainly wasn’t close to third base, but Tyler had to concede, that spontaneous make out session with Sari at lunch was certainly rather satisfying, and very on the hot and heavy side. The girl could certainly kiss, there was no arguing that. And she had an amazing body, one she finally let him explore again. Judging from her moans, he wasn’t the only one who enjoyed himself. Which was not a surprise, he wasn’t some inexperienced boy after all, he knew exactly what he was doing, how to make a girl enjoy herself. And when she finally pulled away, sending him into the shower, he thought of it as a little victory.
Sari was close to giving in to him, he was certain of it. And she would that night, he’d finally get what he knew they both wanted. And about time too, she certainly kept him waiting long enough. He spent a while in the shower, certainly needing to cool off after that session, and take care of certain needs, before finally drying himself off and getting started early on getting ready for the dinner. He had to look good after all, if tonight was the night he was finally going to have sex with Sari.
Looking as good as he could with the amenities provided, Tyler eventually made his way to where everyone else was gathering for dinner, where he was immediately set on by a small group of women. Not that he minded of course, far from it, and he was completely in his element as he charmed them, having them eating out of the palm of his hand. It was a fun life, being admired by women everywhere he went.
Though he didn’t mind too much when Sarissa turned up and led him away, even if the other women seemed to greatly. “Yes, I’m having a great time.” he agreed, before quickly trying to hide his distaste at the news they wouldn’t be alone. He hoped that whoever it was, they would be sleeping elsewhere. He had plans for that night, for their room, with Sari. “Forgot to mention, huh?” he chuckled, “So who is it?” Please, let it be a girl.

"It's Christophe, the French guy from school. The one who is dating the freshman with the blind brother from Silver." Of course Sari had no idea that is should be was, but that did not matter. "He expressed interest in the tribe and Native American culture, and I invited him up." She failed to mention she had actually invited him for Sunday breakfast. Well technically he had turned down the chance to spend the weekend here first, but that was besides the point.
Sari also failed to mention she sent him a text to get Christophe here sooner, cause she needed someone else in this little vacation to keep her from doing something that she was not ready to do. Even though that might be debatable, for now Sari was glad Christophe agreed to come. However, that was not even the point now. "So be nice. He is a good guy." She said smiling.
Sari had a feeling Tyler was disappointed about having turned their duo into a trio, but Sari was thankful. "I would be very thankful if you are nice tonight." She told Tyler giving him a look. Of course she also once again failed to mention that she might off Christophe the room, while she sleeps in another bedroom tonight, but that was not even a sure thing. For all she knew Christophe might sleep else where. it was a play by ear kind of thing.
"You will like him, you and he are very similar actually." She found both boys to be charming, nice, they could flirt, and honest which was a good thing. "There he is. Christophe, over here!" Sari called waving. She walked off to greet him. "Welcome to the reservation." She hugged Christophe. "Tyler this is Christophe, and Christophe this is Tyler." Sari introduced them unaware they had technically met at Haley's party. "So tell me, which one of you wants to be the hunter and which one the prey?" Sari asked with an evil grin.

He'd followed the deer statues intimitely, not wanting to lose his way. It was one thing making the journey in daylight but a totally different one trying to do the same in the dark. Luckily sarissa's written instructions proved perfect and he soon saw the glow of flames ahead. From there on it was simple to follow the glow and sounds issuing from the region of the bonfire and locate Sarissa. He'd left his overnight bag in the car back in the area where other vehicles had been parked. He could retrieve it later... but as he hadn't a clue where he was going to sleep he may very well be passing the night in the back seat of his car anyway. Hopefully not but nothing was taken for granted!
Christophe lifted one hand and waved to sarissa when he spotted her off to the left of the fire. The boy with her was easily recognisable as Tyler, Christophe having met him - briefly - at Haley's party.
He happily returned Sarissa's hug and then nodded to Tyler. "Good to see you again," he said to the other boy before his attention was jerked well and truly back to Sarissa.
"Hunter and prey?" He blinked, the glimmer of a grin surfacing. "How come you didn't mention that part before, hmm?" he qureied on a short laugh. He glanced back at Tyler. "The choice is yours, mon ami... What shall it be?"

Christophe...definitely not a girl. And French too, Tyler knew well that women had a thing for guys with an accent. He used that to his own advantage the few times he went overseas on holiday. Italian women especially, seemed to enjoy an American accent, or perhaps it was just a good looking, charming, young American the enjoyed. Whatever it was, he didn’t mind, he benefitted greatly all the same.
But having Christophe turn up here, would certainly put a damper on his own efforts to get with the ever lovely, ever teasing, Sarissa. The fact that the guy had a girlfriend was a positive for Tyler, at least. Nevertheless, he knew that wasn’t a failsafe, that being otherwise taken didn’t necessarily stop someone from straying. He’d been with a few girls who had otherwise claimed to be in happy relationships. Happy they may have been, but it certainly didn’t stop them from flirting back when he flirted with them, nor did they resist when he offered to take this further. And the fact that Sari invited the guy had to mean there was some interested there. Tyler had been through too much this weekend to let someone else get in the way of things. He’d just have to work harder, remind the guy just why she invited him first to begin with. And, if he played his cards right, by the end of the night, it would be her dragging him into bed. Perfect.
“Thankful? Just how thankful, I wonder.” Tyler smirked, raising an eyebrow as he imagined that himself. He was certainly looking forward to after dinner. “Of course I’ll be nice. I’ll be on my very best behaviour, promise. And we’re similar? You said he’s a good guy...why, Sari, I didn’t realise you thought so well of me. I’m flattered.” Tyler laughed. Maybe this Christophe wasn’t to be as big a threat as he first feared. He’d certainly laid down the groundwork with the beautiful woman, and he was sure she must want him as bad as he wanted her. Perhaps there was nothing at all to be worried about, and he could just enjoy the night.
“Likewise.” he greeted the Frenchman when he arrived sooner than the footballer would have preferred, shaking his hand firmly. Like the other guy, he had to laugh at Sari’s question. “I’ve been thinking the same thing the entire weekend so far. Sari’s put me through a bit of...let’s just say, fun.” he explained with a grin, thinking over everything that he’d gone through so far for the sake of sleeping with the girl.
The question wasn’t something that required even the tiniest amount of thought. Really, if anyone had to choose, Tyler as either the hunter, or the hunted, he would have thought the answer to be obvious. He always did love the thrill of the chase. “Well, Sari already got me hunting earlier today, so I might just continue that, the hunter I’ll be.” he decided, looking questioningly at Sarissa. “Please, tell me this isn’t going to involve another dance. Or more body paint. Wasn’t last night enough?” he grinned, hopeful that the girl was just teasing them, and dinner would be just that, dinner. Knowing her though, that wasn’t likely.
“So, Christophe, how was the drive? Do you find your way easy enough? I thought I was lost at first, until I noticed all the decorations.” Tyler admitted with a faint laugh. “And is it just you, is it? Sari was saying you have a girlfriend. Is it that blonde girl who I saw you with at Haley’s party? You’ll have to forgive me, I’ve forgotten her name.” He thought it couldn’t hurt to mention the girl, just to let the guy knew they all knew he wasn’t single, in other words, keep his hands off Sari.

"Bien. I will play the role of the prey then." Christophe paused and shot Sarissa a glance. "This IS a friendly hunt... yes? I mean, not with real spears or anything?" He ran a hand over his throat and winced over-dramatically as Sarissa merely smiled sweetly back at him.
When Tyler continued speaking it was impossible for Christophe to miss the fact that something had happened between him and Sarissa. Of course, he couldn't quite work out what form that 'something' took but the wordless warning to back off was clear enough... Not that it bothered the French boy. He and Sarissa were friends only... friends that perhaps flirted but he wasn't about to elbow his way in between Sarissa and her boyfriend... despite her claim that they were nothing of the sort.
"Dancing and body painting... I have to admit that sounds far better than spears and hunting but perhaps to get to the former we have to endure the latter." Christophe was game if nothing else!
"The drive wasn't too bad," he replied to Tyler's question. "I admit making it in the dark wasn't as easy as had I driven here in the morning as originally planned but Sarissa's instructions were detailed... and the deer statues helped a lot! I only lost my way the one time and was lucky enough to encounter a helfpul guy in a petrol station who was more than happy to put me right. As for being just me..." He looked at Sarissa once more. "I am not sure if anyone else has been invited but I am certainly alone. Llyria - the girl you met - broke up with me... right after school on that day you threw a pie in my face," he added to Sarissa. "If you recall her brother called by the gym. I went to see her after school had ended and she was adamant that I had cheated on her. It appeared she preferred to believe trouble makers and gossip rather than to ask me herself." He shrugged slightly. "It was the shortest time ever that I have dated a girl but without trust what is the point in continuing?" he reasoned.
He smiled slightly, still hurt but Lia's refusal to believe him. "Oh well... perhaps I will meet someone up here." His smile deepened. "Sooo... what have you both been up to all day?" He hel up his hands slightly. "And I don't mean I am after details like that... I was referring to the ceremonies...!"

"I don't have to think well of you Tyler. You do that enough for the both of us." Sari winked. She let the boys talk for a moment. She just kept smiling. A breath of relief at now having an excuse. She had been close and Sari was not ready for Tyler to have any control over her. He was a dangerous guy. So was Christophe actually. Both boys sweet, charming and way too nice for their own good. No wonder girls liked them both. Well Sari was glad she was friends with Tyler, and yes it was JUST friends. She was not stupid. She was also just friends with Christophe.
"Great, I have my hunter and my prey. And don't worry no body art this time." Sari smiled. "Something much better. Tell me do you both like to play dress up?" She chuckled at the question and the look on both boys faces. "Don't worry Christophe, nothing that bad will happen...I hope...just in case perhaps you should cover your throat. Who knows how well Tyler can shoot a bow at a human target." She stayed silent a moment and once again saw the look on both boys faces before laughing.
"You and Lia broke up. I am so sorry." Sari touched his shoulder in a friendly gesture, "You okay?" She asked. "You are right about trust, but still breaking up is hard and I am glad you still managed to come out here. Would not have blamed you for canceling. But I am sure this place will cheer you up. I know Tyler can introduce you to some nice girls.; Sari winked and looked at Tyler. "Let me know when you are ready to meet the chief. He is right over there." Sari pointed.
Sari had the boys follow her into a secluded tent. She turned looking at them. "Now Tyler what size shirt and pants are you cause I might need you out of then...." Sari said. "Strip....." she told him. She turned to Christophe, "Don't laugh...you too...strip...come on." Sari motioned for their clothes. "This is more of a play. It tells a story of how the prey gave its life to feed the hunter." She explained. "There is more to it, but that's all I get to say." She said.
She laughed as Christophe's comment, "Not much has happened if you are thinking what I think you are thinking." She gave him a get your mind out of the gutter look, "Tyler is just a friend who wishs more would happen." Sari said giving him a look cause he knew it was true. "Today I have volunteered Tyler for several activities around the camp and done a few myself. You will have to come up one weekend with me Christophe in order to know exactly the kind of activities they do around here." She said.
"Tyler you okay, you seem a bit cold." She said smirking and eyeing him in his boxers. She had yet to give him his costume. She also looked at Christophe, she hadn't given him his costume either.

Dress up? This was sounding more and more bizarre by the second and yet Christophe knew he trusted Sarissa implicitely and so felt no particular qualms or tinges of worry. "My throat will be well covered I assure you," he replied with a grin. He had to wonder if his throat might well end up being the ONLY part of him covered... a thought that would be reinforced a few moments later with the order to strip!
For now, though, he responded to Sarissa's question regarding his break up with Lia.
"I'm fine," he assured her. "I admit it hurt at first but... this was her decision and not mine so there's not a lot that can be done about it. I just hope she will still speak to me at school... Otherwise it is sure to be most swkward." Jandro and Saint too. He got on well with Lia's two brothers.
Meeting the chief sounded exciting and Christophe was more than ready for that to happen. Sarissa had other ideas before that, though... hence the stripping directive.
Down to his shorts, Christophe realised how chilly the evening air was and he willed Sarissa to hurry and pass him whatever costume he was to wear. With luck it would be a bear outfit or similar and would keep him nice and cosy for the duration of the hunt!
"You are stalling I think," he commented with a glint of amusement in his dark eyes. "Play fairly and give us the outfits, evil girl," he added, grinning broadly.
