Okay its kind of tradition from the fleet I served in for a long time (Star Trek sim fleet), we mark the passing of well known people with a special mention....
Sadly this young man wasn't well known, but apparently enjoyed a growing reputation... this weekend at a race in Brands Hatch, during the actual race itself, apparently on eurosports, a young formula 2 driver was tragically killed...
Being a massive motor sport fan, I haven't met a series of motorsports I don't like, Henry Surtees was eighteen years old so he had a long career ahead of him, when a driver in front of him hit a barrier (Usually not that big a deal it happens all the time.) the rear wheel of said driver came of the car (Which is not supposed to be able to happen with the FIA safety regulations in place, bounced across the track in front of the young driver killing him (Not sure whether it was instant)...
Anyway considering my passion for the sport of many years, I wished to make a special mention of a driver who died in an accident not of his own making...
