Well, the morning had certainly been rather...interesting to Evan. He really liked Hannah, he did, even if he was confused as to whether or not she liked him. Well, he knew she liked him, because if she didn’t she wouldn’t talk to him or be nice. But he still wasn’t sure if she just liked him, or if she liked him, and the morning really didn’t help him to decide. Brit said she did, but Hannah said she didn’t, so that didn’t help him much either. He really didn’t like not knowing, being confused all the time. Maybe he should speak to someone a lot smarter than him about this. Which meant almost anyone he knew.
But he felt he should at least see Brit now, and tell her he ran into the girl accidentally. Cause after all he did promise he wouldn’t speak to her anymore, and he did massively break that promise. And he didn’t want Brit to get upset with him again, that was the last thing he ever wanted. He had the best girlfriend ever, he wanted to keep her that way. So he figured it’ll be better for him to tell Brit, then to risk her from finding out from someone else, cause that might make her really annoyed. And again, that was exactly the kind of thing he wanted to avoid. Besides, after speaking to Hannah, there were some things he really wanted to talk to Brit about.
Straight after seeing Hannah, well, straight after seeing Hannah, then getting some pancakes, then some more pancakes, casually browsing through his favourite DVD store then loading up on candy, he made his way over to Brit’s place, only realising when he pulled up his car out front that she might not even be home. It was the middle of the day on a Saturday. Bummer.
Still, he was here now, so Evan figured he might as well check. Hopefully Aly wouldn’t be in, especially if Brit wasn’t. He didn’t want to be left alone with the girl, she was just a little scary. Teasing her sure was fun though. And if she was the only one in the house, well, he could always return with his and Brit’s snakes. That would be funny.
Clutching onto an almost overflowing plastic bag, he all but bounced up to the front door, banging on it as lightly as he could, which was obviously far from light. “Hey Brit! Booty call! I’ve got candy!”

Brittany had been meaning to call Evan all morning. Yesterday had been weird. Ella had kissed her. She now knew what it must have felt like when Syn had kissed Evan...totally unexpected and weird. She didn't think her's was quite as bad though because she hadn't known that Ella liked girls let alone her, plus, she's already worked it out and realized that if Dare had kissed Evan she wouldn't have been mad because Evan wasn't gay and she knew he wouldn't have wanted it. While with Syn, Brittany had worried that he wanted her instead.
But still, something was making her hesitant. Maybe it was because she'd freaked out so much on him and now the same thing had gone and happened to her. It really did seem to be true that once you were unavailable that everyone wanted to be with you. She hadn't said anything to Evan last night because she didn't want anyone at the party overhearing, but now she supposed there was no excuses. She heard him outside and stuck her head out the window. "Be right down!" she called, glad that no one was really hope.
Jimi beat her too the door, barking wildly until she open the door, holding her dog back and she pulled Evan inside. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips before closing the door behind him. "No one's really here," she said, "wanna go upstairs?" she asked, leading him up to her room. Jimi now calmed down and more concerned with sniffing Evan that jumping on him, happily followed them up the stairs.
Once in her room, Brittany grabbed the bag of candy. "You have fun last night?" she asked casually, not really sure how to bring up what she needed to tell him. "I think Ella and I did a pretty good job making the cookie cupcakes..." she said trailing off a bit, attempting to bring up the subject of Ella.
OOC: Man...I totally want to make cupcakes with cookies in them now lol

Hearing the voice of the girl he loved ring out above him, Evan’s head shot upwards and he beamed at Brit, waving enthusiastically up at her, as pleased to see her as he was to find out she was at home. It was only an impromptu visit, but he figured if she wasn’t doing anything else for the rest of the afternoon, maybe he could turn it into a bit of a date. He hadn’t taken her out for a little while, which he supposed was very bad boyfriend-like of him, though she hadn’t seemed to mind. Or if it was only the two of them around, staying in, watching movies, eating candy and making out also sounded pretty ideal in his mind.
Laughing at the dog barks from inside, he only grinned more when the door opened and he was pulled inside by Brit as she kissed him. Now, that was a hello he really enjoyed. Her offer made it even better. “Yeah, sure.” he agreed, trying not to sound too excited about it. Because she could easily just be saying that no one else was home, point number one (which was a perfectly reasonable point to make given their mutual feelings about Aly), and point number two, that they should hang out in her room, something which they had done before, all perfectly innocent like.
But then again, as he tried not to think about too often, she could have meant no one’s at home, let’s go fool around a bit and maybe even have sex. Fooling around and having sex with Brit being two of his very favourite pastimes. Plus, that could turn the visit into an actual booty call, something he found funny. So, after leaning down to give Jimi, his favourite dog, an enthusiastic pat, he followed his girlfriend up to her room.
When Brit took the candy though, and didn’t kick Jimi out, he figured playing around wasn’t to be just yet, which he didn’t really mind. She wouldn’t be his girlfriend if he didn’t love talking to her too. Flopping onto her bed, sliding his arms underneath his head to prop it up, he nodded cheerily at her question.
“I had an awesome time last night! I think I talked to pretty much everyone who came, which was fun, especially with the no cheerleaders, well, no cheerleaders besides Ella, policy. Everyone there was pretty cool.” Evan told her. “And you and Ella did a mad job with the cupcakes! Everyone loved them! I didn’t eat them all, you see, I only had like a dozen, there were heaps left for everyone else. And they all loved them too! I asked before I told them who made it, so they didn’t feel like they had to say they liked them. Smart, huh?” he grinned, quite happy with himself. “You can make me cupcakes whenever you want to. And cookies too. I bet Ella could show you how to make some mad cookies. But my girl’s a great cupcake cook!”
OOC: Me too! I’m seriously considering making them. Except the whole I’m shit at cooking thing. That makes it tricky.

Brittany dug into the candy before sitting down on her bed next to Evan and passing the bag back to him as he started talking about the party last night. He seemed like he had had a lot of fun and she was glad he had. Brittany had had a good time too, but she'd been a little on edge the whole night after what had happened. "Yeah, I'm really glad that the cupcakes were a hit," she told him, pushing some hair behind her ear. She chewed on some candy as listened to Evan go on about cupcakes some more about how she and Ella had done a really good job with them. "Yeah...um...about that," Brit said. It was strange...as weird and out of the ordinary the kiss between her and Ella had been, it seemed like it had been easy to talk to Ella about it...after the initial shock at least. But it was kind of hard to tell Evan...mostly due to everything that had already happened between them. Brittany bit down on her lower lip a moment. "Something sort of happened...yesterday...while baking cupcakes...with Ella..." she said sort of trailing off. "I...I mean, it sort of just happened...before I realized it was happening," Brittany explained. Why couldn't she just say it...why was she dancing around it. She'd told Ella that it was no big deal and she'd believed it now...so why was she making such a big deal out of it? Brittany took a deep breath. "I guess...I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for not believing you about that whole kiss thing before...cause Ella kind of kissed me and I just really really wasn't expecting it so it kind of happened before I realized it was happening, which I think I already said," Brittany rambled on. "But Ella kissed me and I'm really sorry...but you can't say anything because Ella doesn't want anyone to know...that you know...she likes girls, well, me," Brittany said, making a face, afraid of what Evan was going to say. OOC: Realized today that I've already made cookies & cream cupcakes that had chunks of oreos in them, so I guess I've already had them...they're good

The moment Brittany pressed the bag of candy back into his hands, Evan wasted no time tucking into it. Life was too short not to be eating yummy food after all. “Massive hit.” he confirmed, half wishing he had some of the cupcakes now, they really were great. Maybe he and Brit could make some later, and have a cookie dough and cupcake batter fight. He would love one of those.
He was dragged away from these pleasant thoughts by the realisation that his girlfriend was worried about something. She only got the way she was now, fiddling with her hair, nibbling on her lip, when she was either worried and nervous, or she was being sexy in her unintentional way whenever he flirted with her, or when she flirted with him. And he was pretty sure that if she was about to jump him, he would know. So something had to be bothering her.
Knowing this, without knowing the why, bothered him, and Evan sat up, even going so far as to put the bag of candy down, as he listened. It was taking a very long time for her to say what was wrong, and that in turn was making him nervous. And when he was nervous, he fidgeting, and stared. Two things he was currently employing in the fullest now.
Then the whole ‘kiss incident’ was raised again, and it only got him more nervous, the way he always got whenever even the slightest mention of it, or Syn, was made. He still felt really guilty about it, about how upset he made Brit. At least now he knew better, or at least hoped he knew better, and it wouldn’t happen again. But, the mention of it this time had him confused. She was sorry? Why would she be sorry?
But then it all came clear, and Evan couldn’t help but stare still. Ella kissed Brit? But Ella wasn’t...well, obviously she must be gay then. But Brit wasn’t. If she was, he would be the first to know, and he was pretty certain she wasn’t. And Ella was his friend, why would she kiss his girlfriend? And they were both girls! Actually, it didn’t become clear, more like only become slightly less confusing.
“Oh.” he managed to get out, still thinking it over. It was only a few more seconds before he spoke again. “Ok. She kissed you, you didn’t kiss her, I get it. I mean, you know.” he pointed out. “So it’s not like you did anything wrong.” He said this as much as for his benefit as her hers, as he grabbed the candy again, offering it to Brit before going through the bag himself. “I won’t tell anyone, but...I get why she likes you and all, who wouldn’t, but still, she’s supposed to be our friend.” He sounded rather put out when he said this, and for someone who was usually always happy, being annoyed (he didn’t have it in him to be too angry at Ella) wasn’t something he enjoyed. “She’s not going to try it again, is she?”
He grabbed some more candy, popping it into his mouth as he continued to think about what she just told him. Swallowing, he grabbed her hand, holding it gently. He really wasn’t angry at Brit. Sure he was confused, anxious, but not angry. He’d been in the same situation himself, a girl kissing him before he could stop it, so he knew she wasn’t to blame for any of it. And he knew how bad he felt when he told her, so he could guess how bad she was feeling now. He was crazy about Brit, so the last thing he wanted was her feeling bad. So he figured it was his job to stop her feeling like that.
“I’m not mad. I can’t be mad at you, for one, you’re too hot, and also you didn’t do anything wrong. So it’s ok. So smile for me gorgeous.” he gave a grin, only slightly forced, leaning over to press a sloppy kiss to Brit’s lips. But he couldn’t help stay a little serious at all this, she did get kissed by someone who wasn’t him. “It’s...you didn’t like it or anything, did you? I mean, want to kiss...uh...why did she kiss you? I’m not mad, honest. I’m just...worried.”
OOC: Damn, those cookies sound tasty.

Evan didn't exactly take it as well as Brittany thought that he would. She thought Ella being a girl and all, it would be less of a big deal...but the more Evan talked, the less and less he seemed okay with it all. Brittany frowned. "No...I don't think she'll do it again...she seemed kind of upset with herself for doing it," Brittany said. "I mean...I sort of already told her that it was okay, as long as she, you know, knew that I was with you and all that," Brittany admitted. "But...I guess, well, you're not hanging out with Syn or Hannah anymore for me...I guess if you wanted, I can avoid Ella..." Brittany felt bad offering this. She thought it was different with Ella. She was probably going through a lot being in the closet and all and now she was pretty sure that she and Evan were the only ones who knew. She felt bad abandoning her, even if she didn't want Ella to get the wrong idea and thing that Brittany was into her or anything.
"No...I'm not going to like start liking girls now or anything," Brittany said, rolling her eyes when Evan questioned whether she'd enjoyed the kiss or not. "I think if I'd been with a guy, I probably would have realized what was going to happen, you know," she said, or at least she'd liked to think that she'd be observant enough, although really, she probably wasn't. "But I didn't even know Ella liked girls before she kissed me...so how could I even know that's what she wasn't going to do," Brittany said. "Are you sure you're not mad...cause you seem...well, not mad, but not really happy either," Brittany said, giving Evan a look. She really, really, REALLY hoped that he'd be okay with it. The drama between them seemed to finally come to and end and she really didn't want it to happen all over again.
"I don't know why she did it...I think it was maybe because I didn't have a shirt on cause I spilled chocolate all over my shirt and then I accidentally dropped the shirt I was supposed to wear in the toilet," Brittany explained as if that was all normal. "I didn't ask her to kiss me or anything...and plus, I'm straight so I don't see what the big deal is," she said. "I wouldn't have been mad if it was Dare that kissed you instead of Syn," she said, "cause I know you'd never have those sort of feelings about him," she pointed out, a little annoyed that he'd even question her like that. Didn't he know her better than that...and weren't guys supposed to like the whole girls kissing each other thing? It would have been a lot easier on her if that was the case...then at least she wouldn't have to apologize anymore...

“Oh, I...well, I don’t want her to feel bad about it. I mean, she gets that she shouldn’t have done it. So I suppose that’s ok.” Evan reasoned, worried that Brit seemed upset with him for reacting as he had. Maybe he did overreact a little bit, given that Brit really didn’t do anything wrong, and he could understand that maybe Ella was going through hard times, so it was just a little mistake she made, one that she was now sorry for, as his girlfriend pointed out. He wasn’t sure how he felt about her telling the cheerleader it was okay though, because kissing someone’s girlfriend really didn’t seem okay to him. But then again, it wasn’t like Brit would dump him for her, so it wasn’t as bad as it could be.
Then a certain H word was mentioned, and it left him feeling bad. He supposed now was the perfect time to be honest to. “Yeah, well, um, about that...well, I was at the mall today, getting pancakes. I got chocolate ones, a huge stack of them, covered in syrup and...anyway, I was at the mall, and I kinda ran into Hannah. It wasn’t like it was on purpose or anything!” he quickly pointed out. “I just ran into her, and talked to her, you know, to be polite. But I already told her we can’t be friends or anything, and she knows that. So it’s nothing. I’m sorry though, I know you probably don’t want me talking to her at all.”
He shook his head adamantly at her mention of not talking to Ella anymore either. “Nah, it’s alright. I mean, if Ella ki...well, that means she trusts you with her secret, and she should have a friend she can talk to about that, you know? So don’t avoid her. And, well, uh, I won’t either, you know, avoid her. I mean, she’s my friend too, and I don’t want her feeling bad, so I’ll talk to her later, if you want. Tell her I’m not angry at her.”
“That’s not what I meant. Not exactly.” Evan sighed, wishing he was better with his words. “And it’s not that easy, I mean, with a girl for me, I didn’t realise until, well, you know.” he defended himself, unsure if Brit was getting annoyed at him again for all that. “I’m not mad, honest, it just surprised me. But you’re right. And yeah, it’s kinda random, so I get that you didn’t see it coming. It’ll be like Taki kissing me..oh, I don’t like that though.” he admitted with a little grin.
The fact that she was half naked in front of Ella didn’t even bother him, because it was perfectly reasonable, at least to him. He couldn’t count the number of times he got chocolate, or other yummy things, on his clothes. “Hey, even though it was Syn, not Dare,” he murmured, scared that they weren’t as over this as he had hoped, “I’d never have those sorts of feelings about her, or anyone else. You know I’m crazy about you. You’re better than like...anything. Even candy. You get that, right? How I feel about you?”
He sighed again before making himself smile. “I’m sorry if I got a bit...carried away then. I might have freaked out a little.” he admitted. “But you don’t have to apologise anymore, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s okay.” He meant it this time to, and he once more offered her his bag of goods as a piece offering. “Hey, you doing anything this afternoon? Maybe we could hang out? Or I could take you out, like on a proper date? It’s been a while since we’ve had one of those.” he told her, immediately brightening.
Then he flopped a little, resting his head on her lap, looking up at her with a grin on his face. “You really are an awesome girlfriend, you know. And beautiful.” He didn’t think he told her enough, he would have to do it more often. “I’m sorry about all the past, you know, girl stuff. But I love you. And well, if Ella decides to...just take a photo next time. Or maybe film it.” he teased.

Brittany didn't like when Evan said that's he'd run into Hannah, although she supposed it wasn't as if she could keep them from going to the same places. Plus, Evan was being nicer about the whole Ella thing now, saying that it was okay for she and Brit to still be friends even though Ella liked her, so Brittany sort of felt bad for asking Evan not to hang out with Hannah. She considered telling him it was okay, but then decided that she couldn't stand the thought of Hannah trying to weasel her way in-between Evan and herself. "Its fine..." she said, not wanting to make a big thing about it. He'd told her...it wasn't as if he had spent time with her and lied about it...he told her about it, which meant she could trust him. She just still didn't really trust Hannah.
"Yeah, I know that now," Brittany said. "Don't worry, I really am over it. I only brought it up to point out the difference," she explained. "Let's just drop it...I don't like all this serious stuff," Brittany said making a face. "Let's just eat a lot of candy till our stomachs hurt or something," she suggested. While she really was over everything that happened, bringing it up again, even if it wasn't in an angry way, still caused her not to be in a particularly romantic mood. She would much prefer just hanging out until she could forget about it all once again. Brittany liked being drama free but it seemed as if lately, that was getting to be quite impossible... First, Syn had tried to steal Evan and now Hannah was still trying to steal him and Ella had kissed her... Maybe they both just needed to stop hanging out with girls altogether because it seemed like all these girls were trying to get with them but no boys were. Brittany wondered what that meant...Evan was still desirable to other girls...but she wasn't desirable to other guys. Evan liked her for not being all girly but it seemed like to other guys she was too boylike. Only lesbians liked her...did that mean she gave off a lesbian vibe? Brittany didn't have any issues with gay people and still very much thought she needed to be there for Ella now, since she was the only one who knew about it all, but at the same time, Brittany didn't particularly like the fact that she was only attractive to lesbians.
"Yeah, let's forget about it all and just hang out," Brittany reiterated when Evan apologized for freaking out. "Maybe we could go see a movie or something, while we eat candy...you think we could watch from the projection room again? We haven't done that for awhile," she pointed out. "And we can get lots of popcorn and throw it at people," she said. "They won't know where its coming from...they never do really," she smirked. "And then maybe we can go to your house and see the snakes?" she asked.
Brittany made a face when Evan mentioned taking a picture and playfully hit him on the shoulder. "I suppose that was the reaction I was expecting originally, but still," she said sticking her tongue out at him. She liked joking around with Evan, everything was okay when they could just joke around and be them. She pushed his head off her lap and flopped down next to him, cuddling up. "I love you," she said quietly, with a smile on her face, hoping that everything really was okay this time.
