Check up....Raven tag Isaiah

[Raven Manning]

Raven had a check on Saturday morning. Who went to the doctor on Saturday morning. Apparently she did. Raven had told Isaiah about fainting and he wanted her to tell the doctor. Of course the appointment had been set for a few weeks, but still she had to say something. Raven was in the doctors office having an ultra sound done. The baby looked like a bug. A little round bug, barely developed, but it was there and it was doing well.

"I fainted at school. i keep telling him it was nothing, but he wanted me to tell you." Raven told the doctor and he asked her some more questions. He turned to Isaiah, "She needs to eat more and rest. That is important especially in the first trimester. Fainting is normal, but needs to be avoided if possible."

Finally when the appointment was over, Raven made her next one and dragged Isaiah out. They had a prescription for prenatal vitamins and a picture of eh baby. As they left the building Raven handed Isaiah the picture, "Can you believe the doctor. I have to rest now too. Come on. it was nothing."

Fainting is not nothing, It has to do with the oxygen in your blood flow. How do you think the baby gets its air. Isaiah had read quite a few books on pregnancy in the last month. He might be a jock, but he was far from stupid."We jua want to make sure you and the baby continue healthy," he said sincerely, his voice warm and sincere."I will hold you and feed you grapes as you rest, I promise. Or I could read to you if you like?"

"Since a bed is invovled can we do something else. Something a bit more physical. i missed you last night and I could really use some skin on skin attention." She purred at him smiling. Raven loved corrupting Isaiah like she did. It was fun. She kissed his neck, nipping the skin softly. Trying to get him off this whole fainting deal. She wasn't worried. Not like she should be. "Maybe had some food in bed too. We can stay in bed all day." She suggested as she continued to lay kisses across his neck.

"You are way to good for me." She said to him. He wanted to take care of her, but raven at times could not help but feel as if she ruined his life in some way. She knew she might be over reacting a bit, but sometimes she just could not help how she felt about it. "What would I do with out you. I am really glad you accepted everything." She said to him.

Isaiah couldn't help but grin at Raven's suggestion. "All right, but I have to do a little work on the nursery at some point or we will have no power in there. I think candlelight would be a bad idea. What shall we picnic on? I will stop on the way home," he promised, not wanting to deal with his mother in the kitchen.

Raven just smirked. She had him whipped its cute. She slide her hand into his. "I don't care. Just make it something good." She told him. She was starving and her stomach grumbled. Raven also did not want to deal with the soon to be monster in law. She seemed to like to stare at Raven. Raven knew the mother was trying to get her alone, but Isaiah barely left her side. Raven could only imagine with mommy dearest would say if she cornered her alone.

"Shouldn't we wait on the nursery until we know the sex of the baby? I mean we can buy the furniture and stuff, but colors and toys should wait? Unless you are one of those people who would rather figure out the sex of the child when its born."

Isaiah blinked as she talked of colors. "Well everything I was going to work on was in the walls and not going to show. We could do primary colors or light purple or green.... I think those are popular nursery colors that aren't tied to gender. Isaiah twitched, feeling this discussion was making him sound a bit light in the loafers so to speak. 'personally I would rather have the basics finished in case he or she decides to come early, but thats just the way I am." He headed towards the wharf to the Fishermans Outlet Seafood Restaurant & Retail Market which was one of his favorite places to get food.( fishermansoutlet.net/Menu.pdf ) He got a cart and began to circuit the building to get various items from the stations around the store. He got Lobster Bisque, Fisherman's seafood Pasta Salad and the deep-fried sampler which included Crabcake, Fried Shrimp and Catfish Strips as well as a large Strawberry soda. Growing up as an episcopalian, he had observed Lent with fish on Fridays so he was quite fond of it He grabbed a package of salmon steaks as well, thinking of grilling them later. Abig container of coleslaw and he turned to grin at Raven. "Anything else, wifey to be?"

"We can save actually painting the walls till we find out the sex of the baby." She told Isaiah, "But do what you have to do, As long as I get to pick out the crib, changing table, and other furniture, I am happy. Rocking chair is a must just so you know." She said smiling. She would like a nice rocking chair. Sounded comfy already, "Do we need money for any of this cause I can get some money to help and stuff." She wasn't sure exactly how financially stable Isaiah was. Another thing she should have considered before allowing this whole thing to go on.

"Um chocolate....oh something sugary...ice cream...whip cream...M&M's. I will take that too." She wasn't sure they could get that here, so they might have to stop at a store on the way in, "I need to not eat like a pig or else I will be in maternity clothes sooner then i thought I would." Raven commented, but all the food smelled so good.

Isaiah grabbed a chocolate cake from a display on the way to the register and a quart of ice cream from the freezer near by. He figured that with the chocolate syrup they had at home should satisfy her sweet tooth.Isaiah was more into savory foods, but he knew that when you wanted something sweet, nothing less would do."We are all set for the renovations. You don't need to worry about it," he said, kissing her cheek. He was feeling chipper after the sonogram and he grabbed her to twirl her around, being careful not to make her too dizzy. Once we get the electricity set up, we will do the dry wall. Than you can pick the paint and furniture." He was excited about it all. He hadn't realized how much he would enjoy doing this work.He thought he might be able to get a job as a contractor while in college.

Raven smiled as he twirled her. He really was excited and it was nice to see. "You really are happy about this? I keep thinking you will resent me for what I did to you, I mean its not like you actually remember your first time." Raven remembered hers she just wished she could take it back and do it differently, but funny how things work out right. A stupid move, led her to being happy. Not that she would admit to it. "You are such a sap." She smirked and kissed his cheek. She liked sappy.


"Thank god we are having one kid. Could you imagine if it was twins. No thanks. I am already going to have a hard enough time not screwing this kid up." She said although she hoped she was a good parent, she really did, she was just so scared of not being a good mom.

Isaiah gave Raven a reassuring smile and kissed her cheek. "I am happy, Raven. You took my rather boring life and made it about something important. I love you and I will love our baby. I will take care of both of you and I promise with love this child will be fine.
