Okay so I know it's unspoken but how would you feel about the merge if it became permanent?

And if it was permanent, would you like an in character thread to discuss this merge?

I suppose this is my first official business as moderator. And because Dry said she might come back, I'd like y'all to know that her characters can be used as NPCs until she comes back. But make sure you track your threads with her characters so it would be easy for her to ease back into the game once she does come back

I've been considering having a word with one of the bosses for a while... I think its what we should do... maybe jump the sim forward to the next school year move the school to a facility large enough for both student populations... and hey maybe we open up a university section for something new.

Neither school is big enough for the who student body... if we do a merger we should consider our options for a major jump forward and opening up some new avenues... what we've had for the last year is great and we should keep that for sure but new ideas and possible mergers like that should make for some good story lines.

I am fine with them merging, and I do think it would be great to do an in character thread where the characters find out. I don't mind a minor time jump either, but I don't like the idea of jumping a whole year, just because that would graduate some characters that I'm not sure everyone would be ready to graduate. I know there are ways of keeping characters around but it would be unrealistic for them all to stick around. I wouldn't be completely against a major jump like that if everyone else was for it, but if we do go that route, I think it should be well planned and we should have at least a month or longer notice of such a jump so we can really plan and figure out what our characters would have been up to during that time.

What Miami, Isaac and I discussed was that if the time jump were to happen, we could jump til a bit before their graduation. Like...have their graduation be under the events board and then have a time jump through summer and into the new school year. Anyone who still wants to have their seniors write threads can do so in the Out of Time Line archives or put them in the thread trackers. Or as Owen suggested, we could do a university section for the seniors or even a site for them if that's what everyone thinks is a good idea to delve into. Hope that makes more sense than I'm panning it out. Any and all suggestions are welcomed with open arms

And Im good with a small time jump as well..get some stuff cleared and going that are in the works for some charries and whatnot!

Okay...using my name feels much easier somehow. So the poll has already been locked since everyone who is anyone has already voted

So the merge will most definitely be permanent and a time jump seems to be what everyone wants to do so there will be a time jump.

And as for a university site, I need everyone's agreement on this since I've gotten mixed feelings for this idea. If people are against it, say it and those in favour of it, I'm sure we can work something out

After much discussion with very important people [you know who you are], the time jump will be exactly one month before the seniors' graduation so prom will still be held and all. I'll put in under the Events board and when it's all good and ready to be closed, I'll start the Story board afresh with our new time jump date.

And if anyone has suggestions about time changes or if they like it just the way it is, which is three RL weeks to one full day, reply to this thread, yeah?

The uni idea was just an idea I suggested to replace Gould as the secondary sim... and a way for us if we did do a jump forward and lost most of our seniors the ones that we wanted to keep would have a place to go. It was nothing more than that, I'm happy with the way things are as far as simming goes, I was just running some ideas of.

I like the speed of the sim at times... and at others I hate the slow pace... so I'm right down the middle of either speed it up a little or keep it the same... but would be against slowing the sim down further by adding another time change.

Other than that so long as the fun keeps happening, I'm as happy as Tom Dick Harry or Larry.
