(Character Name: Alyson Durrand) (Location: Dry Cleaners, but now walking down the sidewalk)
Aly had a pretty damn good idea who was responsible last night. She would get Barney back for this. Aly had been polite at first. She did not kick Barney out when she first showed up at the party. Aly had hoped Barney would be good, but Aly was wrong. Well this was war. The stains might not come out of her awesome dress. Aly had loved that dress the moment she bought it. Not to mention she had been embarrassed in front of Jasper. To admit t him that her step sister was responsible for the cake was something she did not want to do. No doubt Barney's merry band of idiots were involved too. Aly wished they went to Silver, because then Jasper could get then back, but sadly they all go to Gould.
Aly stopped at the dry cleaner to drop off her dress. The chocolate had taken forever to get out of her hair. It was all sticky and gooey. When Aly got home from the party she spent two hours trying to get the cake out of her hair. It did not make her happy. Right now Aly was not in a good mood. She was in supreme bitch mode. Aly was so pissed off at Barney. The nerve of that girl. Sure it was a prank, and Aly had to admit it had been quite funny, but it would have been funnier for someone elses party. Barney has no idea who she messed with. Jasper could get revenge and it could be worse then flying cake.
Aly stepped out of the dry cleaners and walked down the street. She was too busy looking through her purse to even notice someone in front of her until it was too late. BAM!!! Aly's body collided with another body and her purse feel all over the concrete. This was just not her weekend so far. First cake and now this, "Watch where you are going next time." Aly said, even though it had been her fault, but then again she was in bitch mode. Aly bent down the retrieve the items.

Despite the fact that he had been up to the early hours of the morning watching bad 80’s horror movies and stuffing his face with leftover Valentine’s candy, despite he spent the previous night having a blast with his friends and girlfriend, blowing up cake and causing havoc in general before hanging out in the kick ass Viper Room, despite his mother having questioned him when she got home that night from work upon finding cake covered clothes and empty boxes of cake mixes, Evan woke up with one thing and one thing only on his mind. Today was Snake Day!
With the Batman theme running through his head, he hopped into the shower, trying his best to stop smelling of candy and cake. Slipping on some old jeans and a shirt and his favourite Converse sneakers, favourite because they were the ones currently in his view, he made his way downstairs, humming excitedly. He popped his head into the lounge room to say hello to his mum, but quickly disappeared before she could get any more ideas about questioning him. Not surprisingly not feeling very hungry, Evan skipped breakfast and grabbed his car keys, doing a little happy dance out the door as he was still celebrating the fact he had a car. He jumped straight behind the wheel, heading to his girlfriend’s house.
He thought they could just window shop (ie annoy store owners and fellow customers) for the morning, go uber cool pet shopping after lunch. Which was probably going to be a romantic meal of burgers or the like. He had picked up a few extra shifts at work as of late, was feeling generous towards a certain cute redhead.
Close to Brit’s place, Evan spotted Aly, looking her usual cheerful self and he couldn’t help himself. He pulled up to the curb, jumping out of the car and after sending Brit a quick text to tell her the brief change to plans, headed straight towards the step-sister from hell, where he may have ‘accidentally’ bumped into her. “And good morning to you too Aly!” he grinned brightly, reaching down like the gentleman he was and helping her pick her stuff up. “It’s a beautiful day, isn’t it? That was some party that night."

Aly annoyingly picked up her things off the floor. She took every item Evan picked up roughly and stuffed it inside her purse. Then Aly slowly stood up and removed some hair from her face. "I like to give people the benefit of the doubt before I place blame, but I know it was Barney and you who were responsible. I don't know how, but I know that she and her merry band of idiots made that cake explode. Cake stains are not cheap you know." She told Evan.
Aly took out a mirror and checked her appearance. "You guys had nothing better to do then crash an elite party. And here I actually thought Barney had a brain." Aly remarked. "Shouldn't you be off being an idiot else where or is it fun for you to bug me." She rolled her eyes.
"I don't get you and Barney, wouldn't you two have more fun digging a whole then messing with me and my friends?" she wondered what thrill they got out of bothering her, "Wouldn't it be better to ignore me, the way I ignore you." Aly stepped around Evan and started to walk. She flipped her hair behind her knowing he would follow. Like Brit he could not resist trying to get on Aly's nerves. Which worked, but this was not the day. Aly was scared Jasper would blame her for his party once he found out just who was responsible.

“Wait a sec...a cake exploding at the party? And I missed it? Damn.” Evan grumbled, arranging what he hoped seemed liked a genuinely dumbfounded and annoyed expression on his face. To be honest, anyone knowing him or Patch in even the slightest would quickly think they were responsible for the prank. Despite pranks being what they were becoming known for, an exploding cake was cool and fun. And no one else at the party, besides their foursome, shared those traits, Evan thought. Especially not the psycho girl before him. How anyone could be interested in her, he had no idea. Sure, she was kinda hot in a crazy way, not that he would admit that to Brittany. But the actually scrazy, not to mention snobby and pretentious side of her was really off-putting. At least with his girlfriend, he could perve, as well as talk and have fun with her. The best of both worlds.
“But, what do you mean, crash? I’ll have you know, I didn’t crash.” Evan protested. “Jas and me are great friends! We go way back! What, he didn’t tell you about me? Wow, that hurts. That cuts me, real deep.” Evan laughed. “And, by the way, Brittany, say it with me now, Brit-tan-y,” he couldn’t help but say, seeing Aly’s apparently dislike of saying the other girl’s name, “Is very smart. She’s dating me, after all.”
The hair flip made Evan laugh more, giving him an idea as he walked in stride with Aly. “We don’t mess with you and your friends, we grant you the pleasure of your company. But, I get it now Aly, it’s all clear to me.” he grinned. “You don’t ignore me, the opposite, actually. You have a thing for me! That explains why you always bug Brit! I’m flattered, but, come on, I’m with your step-sister. It’s just not going to work.”

Aly shook her head and rolled her eyes. She was normally a nice and sweet person. However, when it came to Brit and her friend she could not help, but be a bitch and act like a snob. They were a bunch of fools that had no direction in life. Granted Aly rather enjoyed the prank war her and Brit had going. Aly had a good plan for Brit. It involved Brits shampoo bottle and blonde hair dye. Aly snickered at the idea of Brit being a blonde for a day. That was just the beginning of things. Brit had better watch her back. Aly was nice to everyone except Brit and her idiotic friends.
Aly laughed as Evan spoke, "You and Jas....friends...right...I guess you must have made some impression if you did not even get an invite to the party. Some friend you are." She knew Jas and he would never....in a million years befriend a guy like Evan. "Its pathetic really....claiming to be friends with the guy. Really." Aly knew a joke when she heard one, but she was not going to give Evan any satisfaction.
The part about her saying Brit's name would never happen. "Its Barney. I am sure she does not call me Alyson or Aly, so its Barney." She told Evan. She looked at him as he started to walk next to her. Then he said something that made Aly laugh so hard she thought she would cry. it took her a while until she finally calmed down, " I'm sorry, but you must be delusional. To think that a girl like me would ever like a guy like you.....that just plain crazy. I am way out of your league. I would rather die a slow painful death then date you. Barney can have you. Yuck."

“Hey, we are friends! Just shows how good of a friend you are, if he didn’t tell you that.” Evan laughed cheerily. Oh, it was great, having Aly around to bug, his girlfriend’s step sister almost made up for his own lack of siblings. He could only imagine what it would have been like if he had his own, he would have put them through hell. In a nice and loving way, of course. “He just prefers to keep it quiet, for my sake. He doesn’t want to lower my rep and all, if it gets around that I am friends with him.”
Although he knew that Aly having a thing for him was just as unlikely, maybe even more unlikely than Coco, or any of the other popular (ie boring) girls having a crush on him, it sure was fun pretending otherwise. “I’m not delusional, you know that better than anyone. I’ve seen you checking me out before, when you think I’m not paying attention. Not that I can blame you.” he nodded solemnly.
“Let’s just be honest, okay? Girls like you always go for guys like me, when you realise how boring your usual guys actually are. What set off the crush? You see me taking Brit out someone fun and you got jealous maybe? Or is it my great sense of humour that got you to fall for me, or my hot bod? You can tell me, Aly, I promise, I’ll keep it to myself.”

Aly just shook her head, "And what rep would that be exactly? The one I never hear about. I would not even have known who you were had it not been for you dating Barney. Thats the rep you have...non existent. Now if you do not mind I think talking to you is actually lowering my IQ." Aly knew she set herself up for some insult about her intelligence, but she really did not care. She went to freaking private school back in New York and she was one of the top in the class. Aly was confident enough in her intelligence to suffer what ever blow Evan would give her. Although she wouldn't say anything about her looks. She did not need an insult to that effect.
Aly just laughed, "Do you even know the definition of the word. Delusional means a person has a fixed belief that is either false, fanciful or derived from deception. You have a fixed belief about me having a thing for you. That is false and would only happen in your dreams. Therefore you are delusional. After all why are you here bugging me when you could be at my house hanging with Barney." Aly said with a smirk.
"Oh my god, give it a rest would you. Girls like me do not fall for guys who think the way to impress a girl is to pull some stupid prank at a party and to annoy her step sister. Girls like me go for guys who have a future that does not include doing stupid videos that will get them no where but fifteen minutes of fame in front of your fellow classmates." She rolled her eyes. Granted Evan was not a bod looking guy at all. He was quite cute, but still not her type.
"Why would you even want to know? If you ask me you are pushing this crush crap a little too much. I think its reversed and I think it you who has a thing for me. After all I am the girl you could never have. the one who would never touch you or fall for you idiotic sense of humor. Besides I might not like Barney, but I respect her enough to know you are off limits. Besides for me to fall for a guy like you....you would have to be the last man on this earth and I do not see that happening...so if you as me I would say you are the one with the crush on me. I am flattered." She repeated his earlier words of being flattered.
"And I hate to break your heart, but I have my eyes set on someone that is not you. So get lost." She knew he would most likely not get lost, but still. She had to say it.

“Lowering your IQ? Wow, so it’s possible for it to get worse for you? I’m feeling really bad now actually, I’m sorry Aly. Oh well, at least you can always just rely on your looks instead to get you through life. You’ve had plenty of practice already, I’m sure you’ll do just fine. I have faith!” Evan said sombrely, reaching out to squeeze her shoulder softly, comfortingly. He quickly pulled his hand away though, when he realised he was actually touching her. He couldn’t have that now, it was just gross.
“But, maybe you’re right, I don’t have much of a rep. I like it that way, it’s a lot more fun on the outside. Don’t have to worry about popularity, or wearing the right thing, or knowing the right people. And I know, that people actually like me for me, not cause I do all that other stuff. You really should try it sometime Aly, let people see the real you, judge you on that.” he smirked, enjoying this far too much. The girl gave as good as she got though, that was where the enjoyment was. “On second thoughts, yeah, maybe not. Don’t want to scare people now. Just keep up what you’re doing.”
The girl might not be as stupid as her circle of friends, but, that wasn’t about to stop Evan in the slightest. “That’s what it means? And here I had always thought delusional was the name of a bad. Thanks Aly, you’ve always been real helpful to me. Maybe I can pass English now. Bet you would love to tutor me. The tutor and the student, one of the oldest stories in the book eh? But, um, how do you know about my dreams? Having you been reading my diary? Okay, it’s not you, it’s another Aly I know. Yeah...” Oh, this was so much fun, he couldn’t wait to give his girl the play by play.
The prank at the party was far from stupid. Exploding cake could never be stupid! And he was glad she thought so though, girls like her were exactly the type of girls he didn’t want interested in him. He was perfectly ecstatic with Brittany, thank you very much.
“That’s it. You’ve figured it out. And I’ve worked so hard to hide my feelings.” Evan sighed, holding a hand to his chest. “This flame I’ve held for you, for quite some time. This does hurt. Oh, you have broken my heart.” He couldn’t have cared less who she was interested in, but now that she brought it up, he couldn’t help but stoke the fires a bit further for his and Patch’s Valentine’s cards prank.
“You have to tell me who it is though, at least tell me that. It’ll keep me up all night, wondering who stole you. Is...oh, it’s not Tyler Durnham, is it? I bet it is! You’re dating Tyler. Should’ve figured, with the way he always stares at you.”

Okay she walked right into that. She watched Evan as he touched her. Gross. So gross, "God now I am going to have to burn these clothes. Not even bleach will help me with your dirty touch." She did a shiver and gave a disgusted face, "I think that is your way of saying I look good. Aww thank you Evan. Now I can die a happy woman knowing you think I am hot." Her words dripped with sarcasm and she just gave disgusted look at Evan, "If you value your hand you won't touch me again." She told him. Aly walked a little faster, but it did not work. "By the way I would bet my IQ is higher then yours."
"And what do you know about my friends? You have never talked to them. Hell I would bet you don't even know them. I know my friends and they do not include people like you. You are an outsider because you don't have the guts to actually try and be someone worth knowing. All you want to do is goof around and do stupid stunts. Your going to be the guy my friends and I look back on and say he hit his prime in high school and after that he fell off the face of the earth. I do not care for people like you to see the real me. It means I actually have to give a crap about what you think of me. Newsflash I don't. I would rather spend my days not talking or seeing you...ever." Aly remarked back.
"You want a tutor ask that girlfriend of yours. I am sure she has a brain somewhere for you. I do not tutor lost causes. There is no helping you. Someone like you does not care about grades like I do. All you care about is your next big show of stupidity." Aly laughed at his next set of comments about a diary, " A diary....you're kidding...you have a diary. Isn't that a tad girly. You sure you like women at all. Or is Barney just your cover girlfriend. You know the one who uses her to show you are straight, but is really gay. Just come out already. Its embarrassing to stay hidden."
She scoffed when he talked about Tyler, "Like I would tell you who I like. Please. I am not that stupid. I tell you, you tell Barney and soon the whole school knows. Think what you want. Wait....Tyler has been staring at me." This caused Aly to stop and think a moment. "Look all I will say is I got a Valentine's day card from someone and I plan to find out just what this guy is thinking. No whether I like the guy who sent me the card is none of your business. Like I would tell you something that would give you ammo against me. Maybe you are the idiot. Seriously....why come get a verbal beat down and annoy me when you can be off doing something stupid."

For a very brief moment, admiring how she stood up for herself, and her verbal insults, Evan thought he would have liked Aly, well, if she wasn’t Aly. “Pretend all you want, but we both know, you’re not going to burn your clothes. You probably won’t ever wash them again, holding them tight to you as you think about the tender moment we shared.” He laughed at the bet she offered. “Sure, I’ll go for that, put my IQ to the test against yours any day.”
She really had a weird way of looking at things, he decided with a shrug. “Why would I want to go to all that effort to be someone worth knowing, in other people’s opinions? I’m happy with how I am, and if other people aren’t, I really couldn’t care. Sure, I don’t know your friends, because of that. So quite frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”
“Huh, you actually buy that I have a diary? You can’t be that stupid now. I know you’ve heard of sarcasm, you use it often enough, even if badly.” Evan smirked. “Nah, I shouldn’t lie, it’s bad. I do have a diary, and since I’m such a nice guy and all, I’ll give you a sneak into today’s entry. It’ll go something like, ‘Dear Diary, today was one of the best days ever! I saw my dream girl Aly today, and I even got to talk to her. She’s so pretty, I just hope one day we will get married, and have lots and lots of babies.’ Only a rough draft, of course.”
“Gay? Yeah, I’m gay. Why would I need Brit to hide that? Everyone knows I’m happy.” Evan mused seriously, deliberately getting it wrong just to annoy the girl further.
It was so good, Aly was actually buying the whole Tyler liking her! He couldn’t wait to share this with Brit and Patch, have a good laugh. It would be even better if he was who she was after, and if he didn’t have any interest in her at all. Evan would have loved to have seen that. But, it wasn’t likely going to end up that funny. He didn’t know how anyone could like the psycho girl, but it was a commonly known fact that if you were a pretty female, Tyler Durnham would like you. And all the pretty girls liked him for some reason, there was no accounting for taste really.
“From someone eh? Oh, a mystery, I like those! But, I’m hurt Aly, I’m really hurt, that you don’t trust me with this. Of course I would keep it to myself, that’s what friends are for!” Evan laughed. “Uh, whaddya mean though? Isn’t annoying you doing something stupid? I mean, it sure is fun.”
