Mac has managed to gain acceptance from his peers, but his family is a whole other story. Mac hates that his family does not accept he is gay. Especially his dad. Mac is a bit depressed over this fact, even if he tries not to show it. He wishes someone in his family would accept him for who he is.
Mac was raised with strict Christan values, who do not believe in homosexuality. So he is in conflict over his sexuality and his beliefs. He accepts he is gay, but he still has issues over how to fit it in with his religion.
Thoughts On High School: Seeing as though he is new he has not gone through the fire, the earth quake or the shooting, but Mac does have feelings about school. Who doesn't.
He likes it. Its a place that gets him away from his father, which makes it good in his book. Plus he has actually friends there who listen to him, and don't care he is gay. It's sad when school is better then ones own home.
He is rather scared to attend a new school. He has this ideal image in his head. The school he went to in London was a lot different then schools in LA, but its cool. Mac is sure he can handle it. Or so he hopes.

"Dad I just wanted to say good bye. We are leaving soon for the airport." Mac said walking into his fathers enormous study. He looked his dad in the eye, cause anything else would be seen as a sign of weakness. Mac stuffed his hands in pockets. "Look dad, I know we do not always get along, but I love you, I just wish you could see that this is not that big of a deal."
George Edwards held a hand up to motion for his son to stop talking, "I am afraid this is big deal. I did not raise you to be a proper Christan if you are a homosexual. This is not to be tolerated, It goes against everything this family beleives in. Everything we stand for. My brother might allow for his son to be like that, but no son of mine will choose men, when god made women for a reason." George said looking right at his son.
Mac sighed and ran a hand through his hair, which was finally finished growing out. "Father I wish you could see this from a different way. You think I enjoy being gay when the bible tells me other wise. I don't, but this who I am. Please."
George slammed a fist down on his desk, "You will not use that word in my presence again. Now it is time to go. It is getting late and you must not miss your plane. " George motioned for Mac to leave. "Go now before I say something we shall both regret."
Mac just gave his father one last look as he turned to leave the study. He took one last look at the house where he was born and raised. He should be sad to leave, but a smile crept up on his face. Good riddance. That reaction just made him even more depressed.
