This kid could ramble. That was for sure. Which was good for Raven cause it meant she didn't have to say much at all. She could let him talk enough for the both of them. She gave him a look when he asked about Isaiah being around their age. "Of course he is our age...he is not some 23 year old who think they can just turn on the charm and thats it. No thanks. I assure you he is our age. I don't think and older man would be as enthusiastic to have his high school girlfriend knocked up."
Raven could barely follow Evan with how he went back and forth. She heard something about being a good couple, something about coming to see the band play. He liked pranks. he had snakes. There was more Raven was sure of it, but he just kept going. Like the energizer bunny. Raven almost thought about timing him, wondering if he was going for some record or something. Not that she minded in the least, it was better then the awkward silence or her having to force some sort of conversation.
"Wait...did you cal us friends... I just want to clarify that." No one called her friend. A fiend sure, but a friend, this guy must be high or special or something. Actually it was nice someone else considered her a friend. "Thanks...for saying that...and i would like to meet your girlfriend..see her band play." She could take Isaiah. Something to do, to get them out of that house. If Raven had to hear one more time from the future mother in law about proper dieting she was going to scream. So getting out was preferred.
She laughed with him, not sure what they were laughing at, but the laughter was quite fun. She almost forgot to answer his evil question, "Don't get on my bad side, and you will never have to worry about me being evil." She told him in a very calm voice. "Let's just say that I find mind games to be a bit more interesting then the average person." Raven said. Which was not a good thing.
"Like I said friends are a dime a dozen. They are easy to make, but being able to call someone a best friend takes time. After all trusting the wrong person can be very bad for you." She told him. "Lucky for you..as you said, you seem to have some good friends. i always say its not the quantity but the quality." Sloane and her thought along the same lines, which was all Raven needed.
"You..want to baby sit." She was processing what he was saying, but much after he said it. Which was no easy task. "Perhaps. I will let you know in seven months." She told him. Something told her she might want to watch him. She was liable to come home to a kid on a sugar high. "MY parents...now thats a laugh...what parents is the better phrase, but thats why I got Isaiah. He makes up for it." Which was the first nice, and genuine thing she said all afternoon.
"Thanks for the offer of the candy bar. But I am good. i will just go hit up the fiance for some money for chips. I need something to balance out the sweet. Although the baby does seem to want another Crunch bar." Which Evan seemed to have another one of. "Thanks...it's been interesting...see you around I guess." Just then the bell rang. This had to be one of the most interesting, confusing and weird lunches she had, but on the bright side, she had met a friend...on the down side she had met a friend...she was not suppose to make friends easily..what the hell was going on with her. Her answer was a ring on her finger. Oh he was going to pay.
