Kian decided it was best if he told Lily's brother about Tina's departure and her mood. He knew he would want someone to tell him if it were his little sisters. He began to look through the house carefully, not wanting to interuppt something intimate.

Tonight had been great so far, and with Shelby looking as good as she did, being as half naked as she was, and as good a kisser as she had so far proved to him, in great, enthusiastic detail, Tyler knew that it could only get better. He loved his women, in any way, shape and form, and if only kissing was in store for him, he could more than make do with that. It wasn’t as though he was deprived when it came to sex anyway, and he was hoping there would be plenty come his weekend away.
And because he was rather enjoying himself, and his girl of the night, he was far from impressed when some guy poked his head in, cleared his throat, and made it obvious there was something he was after. Annoyance flashed on Tyler’s face very briefly, as he looked at the guy. He recognised him as someone from Gould, but other than that, didn’t know much about him. But then he looked at Shelby, and his features were much more softer than as he flashed her an apologetic grin. “Sorry. I’ll take care of this, I’ll just be a moment.”
Then he stood, looking just a little intimidating, even only dressed in board shorts, his hair still a little damp, as he crossed the room. He waited for Kian to take a step back before he stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him. For all intents and purposes, the footballer looked like someone who did not to be interrupted, for anything. “Yes?”

Kian had a full blush on and he bowed to the blonde in apology. "Listen I'm sorry, but I thought you might want to know that Tina is out front waiting for a cab because Casper has been treating her like a freshman reject. She is a sweet girl and I hate to see her first party here in Los Angeles ruined by a self-important jack-ass." Kian finished his say and began to back out the door .
He wanted to go find Connor before someone went after him as yummy as he looked as Poseidon.

Tyler raised an eyebrow, more out of annoyance for the interruption than anything else, when Kian bowed down in front of him. Not that he minded someone bowing, it just looked funny when the guy was dressed rather...fruity, as he did. The news that the guy had to tell him wasn’t helping his mood now either. He chose Casper for a reason, after all. He wanted Tina, knowing full well this would be her first big party, and believing she might be a little intimidated by it all, to be accompanied by someone who wouldn’t be, someone who would know the ins and outs of this kind of situation. And he believed that even with his playboy reputation, his playmate would know well enough to treat Tina with respect and keep his hands off her. To hear that the guy ruined the night for his half-sister, in whatever way he did, wasn’t what Tyler wanted. And it was ruining part of his night, that pissed him off even further.
“Thanks. I’ll take care of it.” he murmured, waiting for the guy to leave as he thought things over. It probably would be best for Tina to head home, he really couldn’t imagine anything left of appeal for her anyway, especially now that the party was over. He would have to see her to a taxi, at least, and promise her that he would deal with the situation. And so he headed back to Shelby briefly, apologising and excusing himself again, promising that he would return very shortly with a treat for her, before heading off to find his sister.

Tina sat near the driveway and watched for the taxi's arrival. She was really unhappy, wondering if Casper was even going to notice she had left or even care. She thought about looking for Bree, but couldn't gather the energy up to do it.She thought she might not go to anymore parties. The people were too anobby. If it weren't for Kian and Connor she wouldn't have met anyone nice.

As he made his way from Shelby, the one place he really wanted to be tonight, Tyler felt his annoyance levels steadily grow. He’d been really looking forward to tonight, to letting loose a bit, having more than a couple of drinks, finding a cute girl to while away the rest of the night with. And everything had been going according to plan, even better than actually, Shelby was more than just cute, and she was clearly infatuated with him. Something that while he was used to in a woman, it was still something he appreciated nonetheless. And to have his plans interrupted now because of a team mate, someone he thought he could rely on to keep things running smoothly, was rather irritating. He’d make sure he understood the situation correctly first before doing anything, it could simply be a misunderstanding on that guy Kian’s part, and he really didn’t want to get angry at Casper if that was the case. He’d actually rather liked the guy, admired him.
The footballer made a quick call as he made his way outside, slipping the phone back into his pocket just as he’d spotted Tina. “Hey sis.” he greeted with a warm smile, holding out his hand to help lift her to his feet. And when she was standing, he pulled her into a hug, an uncharacteristic warm gesture. “I’m sorry tonight didn’t work out the way you hoped. I promise, I’ll sort things out with him soon. But for now, don’t worry about the taxi. A private car will be hear soon. The driver will take you home. Make a quick stop if you want, maybe you could do with some ice cream.” he smiled. “But if you get some, make sure you save some for me. Not like last time.” he teased. “Then hop into bed and just take it easy for the rest of the night. And let Maggy sleep on your bed, I promise I won’t say a word to our father.”

Tina barely looked at Tyler she was so filled with dejection. "Don't beat him up or anything. It's not his fault he is too toplofty to even think about talking to a freshman. He is probably having a great time now with some Junior or Senior cheerleader who wouldn't know the difference between Gandhi and Buddha." ahe said in a monotone that was very depressing. She hugged the panda she was carrying and started crying. "He didn't even look at me to find out if I was worth knowing. Kian seemed really nice though. I think i will make friends with him.She sniffed back tears and looked at he r brother. "Why do you like these people? they are so shallow!"

“Well, I hadn’t even considered that. But that’s certainly an option. I could take him.” Tyler joked with a soft laugh, in a weak attempt to cheer Tina up. He considered himself great with women, except when it came to consoling them. It wasn’t something he had to do much of in the past, so when such an occasion occurred, like tonight, he was just as clueless as the majority of the male population. And he didn’t enjoy that, feeling ordinary.
“If that’s the case, he really is stupid, for not knowing what he was missing out on. You’re a Durnham, but besides that, you’re my sister, and you are definitely worth knowing. Don’t let him get you down, you’re far too good for that, for him.” So, Tina felt ignored, that was the problem, he thought. He might just have to set her up, or preferably, get Bree to set her up with some Freshman who wouldn’t do just that. Someone clearly underneath her, but who would at least realise that.
“Well, it’s the town, it’s filled with shallow people. Though some of them are far from that, once you get to know them. It just takes time, is all, Tina.” He brushed a kiss to her temple, smiling a little as the car arrived, pulling up besides them. “But I’m glad you’ve met Kian then. And I don’t think I’ve told you this, but you look really beautiful tonight Tina. And I like your panda, nice touch.”

Tina chuckled and hugged her beloved brother. "Thanks, Tyler," she said, sounding a bit wet, her face shining with her tears. She snuggled into his arms and hid her face. "Ice cream? All by myself? Sounds kind of sad and pathetic." She really didn't want to be alone, but she didn't want to ruin his night either.

“You’re welcome. That’s what big brothers are for anyway. At least, that’s what tv and movies have taught me. I’m new to this whole thing as you know, but, I think I’m doing a decent job so far.” Tyler told her with a grin, knowing Tina was trying to hide her tears, and he let her, not pulling away. It really as the least he could do, he felt partly responsible for her being upset in the first place. He thought he’d chosen well with Casper. Apparently not.
“I hope not too sad and pathetic. I’ve done the exact same thing on occasion, when we lose a game to Silver. I hate losing to them.” he grinned, pulling back just enough to playfully ruffle her hair. “And you won’t be by yourself. Don’t go forgetting Maggy now. I know I won’t, especially with what she did on my bed. And I know you know what I’m talking about.” Tyler laughed. “And when I get home tonight, I’ll check in on you, say goodnight if you’re not yet sleeping. Deal?” he asked as he opened the car door for her.
