Lissa was just glad it was friday, that means the weekend is here. And there are some games she wants to watch on tv. She took her time getting ready since she was not running late this morning happily. After getting dressed she actually got to sit down and enjoy breakfast with her father. She ate her toast while they chatted about his plans for the day. She always wondered why he had so many meetings with various people and such and they were always private, he never disclosed any information. Oh well it is buisness she thought to herself and shrugged off her questions.
"I have track pratice daddy so I will be home late." After that she was going to go to the club. She already had her dress in the car so she could change after pratice. A few moments later she kissed her father on the cheek and headed to school.
At school she saw someone drop something in front of her locker. She bent down and handed it to them. "Here you go" she said with a smile. She opened her locker and dumped a few things off and began grabbing what she would need for the morning.

Being shorter than the rest of the guys wasn't easy especially as a teenager.
Zane knew about that far too well, ever since middle school he had always been a target for the bullies and/or the jocks. Even the more popular girls snubbed him, it was just those on his level who understood and appreciated him for who he was.
He was heading down the hall, swerving and avoiding the eye contact of the older students when he ran into what he thought was a brick wall.
If only that had been the case.
A guy in a Letterman's jacket slowly turned around with a scowl that would scare off even the most evil of men. He laughed as he snatched up a brown paper bag that contained Zane's lunch.
Zane jumped as the guy and his friend decided that this would be the perfect time for a game of keep away. The two delighted in tormenting the poor smaller boy.
Zane wasn't one to fight but he was mad, even beyond mad! He pushed the taller guy, who in turn, shoved Zane and threw the bag at him.
Zane sat for a moment, wanting to cry until a girl he didn't know smiled and handed the bag back to him.
"Thanks," he sighed. "Doesn't do me much good now."

"Don't let them get to you" Lissa said honestly. "They are jerks" she said. She had a idea. "How about this you take this and get some lunch" she passed him a ten dollar bill. "And don't say no it is the least I can do to make up for my kind" she gave the guys a glare and rolled her eyes when the one checked her out. "Not all us jocks are jerks" she said honestly to him. "For example I am not like that" she said with a smile.
She reached down and helped him up. She had to be honest with herself she could see why he got picked on. They always like to go for smaller prey then them. "Just don't think they won't get theres one day because they will. Karama has a cool way of working like that" she said with a smirk. "Plus they just have way to much testerone running through them to make them think, so it is not you they do it, they do it to many people" she said. "Sorry I tend to run on" she laughed and smiled.
She held out her hadn for him to shake. "I am Vasilisa Remington, but you can call me Lissa" she told him. "And you are?" She felt a urge to be a protecter. She did not like to see people picked on her and he tugged at her heart strings since he looks so defeated and use to it, no one should be used to be treated like crap. Everyone was human and derserved to be treated that way.

"I try not to, I guess its easy to get someone who isn't a big as everyone else." Zane sighed. He looked at the money in his hand, puzzled slightly by her generosity. "I...I couldn't..." he started to reply before she told him to keep it. He felt a bit of guilt when she said she was one of the jocks, but there was a smile that didn't seem menacing to him.
He was up on his feet quickly with help from the girl. "I keep telling myself that same thing, I suppose I should give it time but I wish it would happen now." There was a small smile on Zane's face. "Its fine, you have a nice voice."
He gently took her hand. "I'm Zane, Zane Douglas." He didn't expect her to know the name unless she was up on the local opera. "Its nice to meet you Lissa. You have a great name by the way. Its foreign sounding with out being too complicated." Today wasn't turning out as bad as it had started for him, he had made a friend as well as having some money for lunch.
He looked at the money in his hand. "I'll make sure this comes back to you in full."

"Things work out in its own time" Lissa said with a smile. "So it will come back on them even if it is down the road" she smiled at him. She was a firm believe in that, if they don't get pay back for their behavior now they will when they are older. "They think they have it great being the big dogs on campus in high school but when you get to the real world it is a new playing field and they won't be big dogs then" she said with a laugh and a smile. "Some of them will be asking do you want fries with that for a living" she grinned.
"Nice to meet you Zane" she told him. "Your name is cool to, not something you hear alot, makes it stand out." She smiled when he complimented her name. "Well my mom wanted a name that was not the typical american california name. They searched forigen names and she loved this, it is russian. I believe she might even have had a small bit of russian in her, I like to think so that was why she was drawn to the name" she said with a laugh.
"You don't have to pay me back" she looked at him. "It was given to you free of any return policy" she said to him honestly.
