Lana woke up and mechanically got ready for school. She ate her oatmeal and then began the walk to the bus stop. The usual idiots harassed her and she ignored them. She knew it drove them crazy that she didn’t react, but her mental illness caused her to shut down. Once on the bus, she sighed in relief. The ride was short and she slipped off the bus like a shadow and walked silently to school. Once there she got her books and headed for the art room where she began working on a collage she was in the midst of. Taking pieces of ripped magazine she applied it to her cardboard to form her design. It took a lot of patience, but that was something she had in abundance. Decoupage was something she really enjoyed. It kept her mind busy, which was important so she wouldn’t think about Haden, who had apparently forgotten about her.
