Landon walked down the hallway, glad that the day was through. Per usual, she was running late to meet her brother, but she really wasn't thinking about that. Right now, she was more concerned with what to do with the rest of her day. She had some homework of course, but usually forgot about that until last minute anyway. Landon was a smart girl, she was just too spacey for her own good sometimes.
She stopped at her locker to drop of the rest of her books. Her long dark hair was down and pushed behind her shoulders and she was dressed rather eclectically in a coral tank dressed layered under a black canvas jacket, a few layers of long beaded necklaces and a pair of flat black boots.
She shut her locker, leaving her books inside, after all she hadn't even considered the things she'd been assigned, and she twirled around, ready to continue her day. Only instead of making her way forward, she accidentally made her way into someone else. She took a step back as she looked over the person she'd bumped. "Oops! Sorry!" she said with a smile, after all, a little bump was no big deal.

Today had been... well, strange came very much to mind. It had started off in a bizarre fashion and gone on from there. First of all he'd encountered Reese and she'd been in her normal scathing mood. Ok, so Felipe had only met her just the once before and so assuming that was normal for her was taking something of a liberty. But she'd ended up not only giving him her cell phone number but then had gone on to demand - not ask - demand his in return. Secret friends. That still made him grin.
And then lunch. Aly. That had been insanely weird. She hadn't said in so many words but he was convinced beyond the merest shadow of a doubt that she and her friends had framed Patch and co... That was absolutley fine with him. They deserved whatever they got.
To end it all he'd just been bumped - and in a most pleasant way - but an attractive girl. He smiled down at the brunette in appreciation. "Trust me, no apology is called for." Would it be improper to ask her to bump into him again? Probably not all that correct and so he kept that idea in thought mode.
He stepped to his left.
She stepped right.
He tried again and this time to his right.
She paced to her left.
Felipe laughed. "We could be at this all afternoon," he said. "But I must compliment you on your dance steps," he added with a grin.

Landon couldn't help but giggle as they kept choosing the same ways in the hallway...dancing around one another as he called it. She liked to think of it as dancing because dancing sounded way more fun than walking. And Landon was no stranger to dancing. She'd never had any formal training but she rather enjoyed the act.
"Yes, I suppose we could," Landon agreed with a nod. "But I'm sure they have to close the school eventually and then we'd get kicked out," she reasoned. "Although it might actually be fun being locked in school over night. You know, its like we'd always rather be outside of school...but being here with no teachers and all that...there would definitely mischief to be had," she pointed out. "But nothing too bad, like whoever put the principal's car on the roof. Wouldn't want to do anything that would hurt anyone," she said. Landon liked to have fun and doing things you weren't supposed to could be fun sometimes, but Landon was always careful to put people first...making sure everyone around her was alright before she proceeded on.
"I'm Landon," she said, holding out her hand to shake. Now that the cute boy she'd bumped hand stopped to chat, she didn't even consider that he might have somewhere he needed to be.

Felipe laughed along with the girl at their ridiculous routine. It was something that happened to other people... Not to him. The sort of act you liked to witness and to laugh at those taking part. Then again, no one around them seemed to be laughing at them or finding amusement of any kind.
"Oh I agree," Felipe commented. "Being locked up in here overnight with you wouldn't be a bad thing at all," he said with a wink. "Ah yes, the car on the roof. It would make a good movie title, I think. Whoever did that is beyond crazy." Or hoever everyone *thought* hd done it.
"A pleasure to meet you, Landon," he said, grasping her hand and shaking it. "I am Felipe," he added. "Felipe Vila Nova and I have to say yours has been the most pleasant collision I have had since joining this school." Flirting? Perhaps but in a harmless sort of way. "So tell me, Landon," he continued, "... what sort of mischied would you get up to if you were... say... stuck in here all night? You mentioned nothing bad... There is good mischief? If so I would love to hear about it." Half teasing but also genuinely interested.

Landon shrugged. "I don't know about crazy. I just don't think doing things that actually hurt people are good. I mean I guess a car on the roof didn't physically hurt anyone but it seems kind of mean...and expensive," she said, wondering how the people got the money to pull it off. Based on who she heard had gotten the wrap for it, none of them seemed particular rich but maybe they had pooled together their savings or something. While Landon didn't live a rich life, she had grandparents who always gave them tons of money even though she hardly saw them, so she'd never really had to think about money.
"Felipe, it is nice to meet you," Landon said with a nod. "Really? You mean you've bumped into more people than just me? You know, I thought it must be my fault because I do have a tendency to not really watch where I'm going but now that I know you're going all over school bumping into people--I might have to blame it on you," she said with a smile, letting him know she wasn't really blaming him for anything. She was just teasing him anyhow.
"Oh you know...simple stuff...like..." she paused for a moment to think before answering his question on what kind of mischief she'd cause if she was locked in the school all alone, "like switching the labels on all the classrooms and renumbering them all or hiding all the forks in the cafeteria so everyone has to eat with spoons," she giggled. "Stuff that would just be funny," she said with a shrug. "Why, what would you do, Felipe?" she asked, giving him a look as if she was challenging him to come up with something better.

Felipe leaned sideways against the wall, arms folded as Landon replied to his question. She seemed a sweet girl... One who didn't like to pull pranks that ended up hurting another person. A rarity. "Bumping into people seems to be my habit. I am... aaah... somewhat addicted to it," he answered with a wink. "And I am more than happy to take full blame for this. In fact, I wouldn't have it any other way!"
"I have to admit the fork hiding idea is impressive," he commented. "Even better to hide all the spoons when soup in on the menu. Can you imagine them all trying to drink soup with forks?" He laughed with Landon at the mental image that conjoured up. "Hmmm... what would I do.... Good question. Have you ever put cling film over toilets... Ya know, under the seats so that its all but invisible. Not sure who that would work better on... Boys or girls.. Or I would break into the principle's office and use double sided tape to stick down everything on the desk. Even the phone but first I would unscrew the back so that the top part still came away. Or maybe switch the sugar container with those of the salt. Actually," he said after a little more thought, "... that would probably make the desserts taste better!"
He grinned down at Landon. "I see that between us it would cause havoc for us to be locked up in here for the night. Perhaps for the sanity of the faculty it would be better if we made sure that didn't happen!" He had to admit, though, it would be fun to cause chaos with a girl as pretty as her.
"Have you lived in this area all your life?" Better to steer clear from thoughts such as that!

Landon smiled when he said he made it his business to bump into people...a habit he called it. It was sort of a habit of Landon's too, only she didn't really do it on purpose. It just happened, because she wasn't very good at watching where she was going due to the fact that her head was always in the clouds.
She giggled when Felipe mentioned the spoons on soup day. That was certainly a good one too, only Landon never could be bothered checking the lunch menu ahead of time. Even if she thought to do it, she'd certainly get preoccupied by something else and forget. That was just her way. "Well it would bother the girls more only out of frequency...for the boys it would be grosser though," she said wrinkling up her nose, not really liking to think about that one. Luckily he went on to mention taping everything to the principal's desk. She laughed. "Now that's a good one! I bet you could do that to a bunch of teacher's desks too," she said. "Oh and switching the sugar and salt! You're good at this," she said. "Remind me to come find you come April fools," she told the boy, thinking that they could have fun with some of their ideas. Maybe not the toilet one though, only for the gross factor.
"Yeah, you're right," she agreed. "But I imagine anyone could come up with stuff given the opportunity," she said as she twirled a strand of her hair around her index finger.
He then changed the subject which didn't really bother Landon because she tended to be all over the place and often changed the subject herself without warning. "Nope," she answered. "I'm from norcal," originally, she said using the California slang for Northern California. "I lived like all over the Bay area mostly," she said, referring to San Francisco, not really thinking that he might not be familiar with the terms she was using. "Where are you from?" she asked.

Felipe had to agree that the cling film idea was pretty gross... but he'd done it once before and it was still hysterical. It was amazing how far liquid could fly when rebounding off tight film.
"Oh definitely we should get together for the 1st. The school wouldn't know what has struck them." First take Patch's place on the football team and then steal Evan and Patch's hold over the biggest pranksters title. It got better and better.
"Norcal? Is that near here?" Felipe hadn't heard of that town, not knowing what it stood for. "The Bay is this area around California?" he asked uncertainly. Felipe had heard that word mentioned before and it seemed to fit what he thought it referred to.
"As for me... I am from Brazil. São Paulo. Have you heard of it? People seem to know of Rio de Janeiro but not so often of São Paulo and yet it is even larger that Rio. The 3rd largest city in the world, in fact. It is immense. I even manage to get lost in some parts of the city and I was born there," he confided with a wry grin. "Brazil is very different to here and I am still learning how things are done here... and making a fool of myself more often than not when I get it wrong! Have you ever visited Brazil?" It would be asking too much to hope she'd been to São Paulo.
