Izzy threw him a mock glare. "I think you know what i will say to the scary movie collection." She commented. Yes she had agreed to watch Ringu, but she hadn't expected it to be that scary. Although part of her had not minded really, cause she had gotten to cuddle with Taki, but still, she was fine not seeing a scary movie for the rest of the night, or she might never sleep. "A nice walk in your back yard under the moon. sounds rather interesting." She said smiling as she took his hand and followed him outside. Yes Izzy would not have minded a make out session, but she was content just holding hands too. For now.
"And what is so lucky about the moon? does it bless people who look at it together. Or is it just a good omen." Izzy wondered. She looked up at the moon. "Tsukimi." Except it came out sounding way different then how Taki had said it. "I think I need to work on my pronunciation." Izzy said laughing. She had been lucky to get the names of Taki's family correct and that had not been easy. "In my culture, we have talisman that have different meanings or symbols."
Izzy listened as she looked up at the sky. She wrapped her arms around Taki's waist. "Rabbits? You think we might see rabbits on the moon?" Izzy questioned as she mover her eyes from the moon to Taki. He was illuminated by the moon light and looked just as handsome as ever. "You look good in the moonlight. So lets go look for these rabbits." She smirked.

He laughed at Izzy's response to the scary films idea. He'd known all along how well that would go down. "There are many tales about blue moons and luck... both good and bad," Takumi explained, his hand tightly curled around Izzy's as they walked slowly around the garden. It is said that seeds planted under a moon such as this will blossom in the sun as will any of your own hopes and dreams." He threw Izzy a grin. "So I suppose it can bless as well as curse... It would depend very much on how your wishes and dreams are worded. You have seen the genie in a bottle thing? How he twists your wishes around? That is the same with a blue moon."
He slipped his arm around Izzy when she put hers around his waist.
"There is a sad legend," he went on. "... and one recounted in the Nihon Shoki...aaah The Chronicles of Japan. The moon god, Tsukiyomi, was dispatched to earth by his lover, the sun goddess Amaterasu, to visit Ukemochi no Kami. The food goddess welcomed him by facing the land and disgorging from her mouth boiled rice, turning toward the sea and spewing out all kinds of fishes, and turning toward the land and disgorging game. She presented these foods to him at a banquet, but he was displeased at being offered the goddess’s vomit and drew his sword and killed her. When he returned to heaven and informed his lover of what he had done, she became angry and said, 'Henceforth I shall not meet you face to face,' and that is why the Sun and Moon are never seen together."
He sighed softly. "Sad, isn't it? Never to see each other again. But," he winked at Izzy,"... we shall definitely go rabbit hunting!" His dark eyes gleamed in the moonlight as he looked at Izzy. "And you look beautiful," he whispered and he pressed a gentle kiss against her welcoming lips.

"I have heard of it. Be careful about the way you word your wishes cause a genie will take the words literally." Izzy commented back, "Have you ever heard of the saying 'Careful what you wish for'? It dates back to 1902." She told him. "It might even date back to the late 1800's." Izzy was a journalist, so knowing stuff like this, was not abnormal for her, especially when she heard the saying so much. She had been curious what it meant. Izzy was curious about a lot of things.
Izzy listened to the legend, "We have a legend about the sun and the moon. It's rather sad though. But the ending is sweet. It's about these siblings who are forced to climb up a tree when being chased by a tiger. " Izzy Began. "They beg the heavens for a rope to keep them safe as the Tiger tries to cut down the tree. Their prayers are answered and both brother and sister climb to the heavens. The brother becomes the sun and the sister becomes the moon, but the sister, being the younger one does not like being so dark, so the brother moves behind her to make her lighter and therefore the sister becomes the sun and then the brother the moon." Izzy shared.
Izzy eyed Taki, "The legend is sad. Poor moon and sun. Imagine loving someone and never being able to share the same sky at the same time as them. Of course it sounded as if the Sun goddess was mad over what the Moon god did, but it is still sad." Izzy told him. She smirked, "yes lets try this rabbit hunting." She said as she met his lips in a fiery soft kiss. She moved her arms to wrap around his neck making the kiss deeper.

"Careful what you wish for..." Takumi repeated, committing it to his memory banks. "That is very true..." He chewed at his lower lip slightly, wondering if the same thought had drifted through Izzy's head. Possibly not as she didn't seem to experience any wash of sudden sadness. Izzy had told him what she'd said to her mother right before she'd died.
He wasn't about to re-open that still very tender woulnd and instead listened to Izzy's own sun and moon story. "Your tale is much happier than mine," he commented when she finished relating it. His story of a lost love was heart-breaking. "hai! Those rabbits are sure to be out by now!" he agreed with a laugh. They would have to wait, though, just a little longer as he wasn't about to rush their kiss. Takumi held Izzy close to him as he returned her kiss, eyes closed and heart racing.
"Mama... they are snogging!"
"Mayuki! Where did you pick up such a vulgar word?" demanded her father.
"School, tochan," the girl replied.
"I don't want to hear it again."
"But tochan, they are!" Mayuki protested.
"And come away from the window!" called out Sonomi from the kitchen.
After one last twitch of the curtain Mayuki turned away from the window. Takumi's father, Hajime, manfully resisted the urge to take a peek outside for himself...
Finally the pair drew apart and Takumi smiled at Izzy. "Oh! There is one other member of my family you have yet to meet!" Izzy frowned slightly, convinced she'd met them all. "Come," he added, grabbing her hand and heading back inside. "This is Hashi!" he said with pride and the golden long-haired dachshund waddled out of the utility room where he'd been put for the duration of their meal. "It means 'chopsticks'," he explained.

The kiss left Izzy breathless and her lips were slightly swollen, but it had been a nice kiss. "You are quite the kisser." She said smiling. He really was. Each kiss kept making her heart race and her blood pump. She liked it personally. Things with Taki were going good. She had not even looked for a boyfriend and one found her one night at the carnival. Not that she was complaining. "Care to go back to the carnival with me this weekend?" She asked as he led her back to the house to meet another member of his family. She was wondering who was left. A grandparent, cousin, aunt..uncle...
As Taki introduced Hashi Izzy found a dog sniffing her feet them jumping up asking to be petted. "He is so cute." Izzy leaned down to pet Hashi and ended up getting a lick across the cheek. "Nice to meet you too." She smiled at the dog after wiping her cheek. "Not that I don't appreciate the greeting, but it was a bit too wet." A huge wet mark had been left on hr cheek until she wiped it off.
"You have a very friendly dog." She said as she stood up once more. The dog sat down on its bottom and held out its paw, "Its very well behaved." Izzy noticed. "You have a great home and a lovely family. Thank you for bringing me to meet them all." Izzy was having a good evening. She knew tomorrow would be hard for her, which was why tonight had been so important to her.

Takumi smiled happily as he watched Izzy and Hashi meet. When Izzy straightened once more he scooped the hairy dog into his arms and scratched beneath the dachshund's chin. Hashi loved that. "I'm glad you've had a nice evening," he said. He knew tomorrow would be on her mind and if he'd helped - even the tiniest bit - in making tonight a little easier for her then he was content. No, he was more than content.
Hashi wriggled slightly and so Takumi set him back down onto the floor.
It was starting to get late and Takumi didn't want to annoy her father any more than he'd done already. He hated the thought of their evening ending as that would mean tomorrow would come around so much quicker. Still, it would be better once the funeral had passed and everyone could start to rebuild their lives once more. Izzy had driven over but if she hadn't Takumi would have taken her home on the back of his red Vespa. No way would he let her walk back alone. Not with the gang troubles still very much current.
"Jett said you weren't going to go back to Korea." He glanced at Izzy as they wandered back inside the house, his worry pretty evident. "Was he right?" How he hoped so as the thought of her leaving left him feeling cold to the very pit of his stomach.

Oh Izzy should have seen that coming. How could she not, it was a perfectly logical question, one she very much would have loved to avoid, but the point of being in a relationship was to be honest right. Now all Izzy had to do was focus on keeping the conversation happy and not dwell on the sad, cause what she had to tell Taki contained both. Izzy took a deep breath and once again laced her fingers through Taki's. "No..I am not going back. I am staying here." She told him.
"I am seventeen and although I need a guardian, it will not be my father. Jett will look after me until i turn eighteen. So I get to stay here." That was the happy news. The sad news, which Izzy was not saying was that her father had flat out told her, he didn't want to take her back to Korea. She was to stay in America, cause he did not want to take her. What kind of father did not want their own daughter. On one hand that was great cause it meant Izzy could stay. On the other...it hurt...a lot to hear that.
"I am relieved. I was hoping I would get to stay, and I do. So I worried for nothing, sorry if I worried you for nothing." Izzy told him. She gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. "So smile...your girlfriend is not going anywhere." She smirked.

"Any worry about you is never for nothing," he replied. Takumi wasn't sure he'd used the correct English words to say what he was trying to get across but hopefully his meaning was reasonably clear. If it concerned her then no amount of worry was meaningless.
He smiled as directed and his face lit up in response. "Well, you know now that you have a second family right here," he went on. "My parents love you already and even my brother and sister seem to like you. It would look like you have inherited my family as your own. Hashi, too," he added, laghing down at the short-legged dog who had ambled over to join them once more.
"You won't be in school tomorrow monring?" Izzy shook her head. "I have to attend but will come home at lunch time. Am I to meet you at your home?" This time a nod and Takumi was relieved as he didn't have a clue where the funeral was being held. At least he would arrive with Izzy - and Jett - and not feel so out of place.
He drew in a deep breath. Tomorrow was looming fast and would soon be upon them but at least tonight had been good. Hopefully the evening had passed a little less painfully for her than it might have done otherwise. Tomorrow, though... No, that was a completely different story...
