Meet the parents Izzy tag Taki

[Izzy Chen]

Izzy looked yup, red tinted her cheeks, "That's not embaressing in the least." She commented and smiled as she moved off the bed and stood up. She bowed slightly then held out her hand, "Pleasure to meet you Fumihiro. I'm Izzy...and pleasure ruin it....maybe it won't be so scary. I am not sure even watching this during the day is helping." She laughed. "I did warn your brother that if I have nightmares I am calling him to wake him up." She smirked.

"How are things going? Taki tells me you are in University?" She hoped that was right. If not then Izzy was going to look like an ass who doesn't pay attention. "You both look alike." She commented. It was like Taki but more aged. "You have impeccable timing. Its like you picked the scariest part to walk in on." She laughed, which helped a little. After talking a bit Fumihiro left the two teens alone once again.

Izzy sat back on the bed and looked at the movie. "Tell me...if I hide the remote would that work." Izzy said taking the remote. Of course all it did was see that a playful fight ensued which ended with Izzy being pinned down and Taki getting the remote she had hidden beneath her back.

"I don't think you play fair." She said looking up from her position of being beneath him. The movie was scary as heck, but it wasn't so bad knowing Taki was watching it with her. She was just being playful. "Its not right to use your full weight with a girl half your size. " izzy said laughing as taki finally retrieved the remote control.

Takumi laughed. They both knew he wasn't a heck of a lot bigger than Izzy. The exact same height and maybe only a handful of pounds heavier. He was stronger, though, thanks to years of playing bass guitar. It took a lot of effort to play that instrument. "I have never claimed that I play fair," he pointed out.

He dropped the remote onto the edge of the bed, finding something far more intersting to look at than the remainder of the movie.

Izzy was still pinned down, her hands now gripped above her head in one of Takumi's. "You realise I can do what I want to you right now, hai?" he said with a glimmer of laughter in his eyes.

Izzy's intake of breath was audible and he lifted his free hand... to tickle her relentlessly beneath one arm.

They both laughed and it was mid way through that when he dropped down to kiss her. The kiss was long and deep but finally hew drew back, a faint colour washing into his cheeks... and one that matched Izzy's own flush.

"See? Anything I want," he whispered.

On the TV screen behind them poor Asakawa Reiko stood frozen in pause mode, the axe descending towards the back of her head.

Izzy eyed him, "And just what are you going to do?" She was not sure what the expect, but tickling did not come close. Izzy started to laugh telling Taki to not do that, she was ticklish all over, but she was laughing and having fun. Then the tickling turned into a heated and long kiss that left both teens breathless with a hint of color on their cheeks.

"I am not complaining about what you can do." She smirked. "What else do you have in mind." This was a nice break from the movie actually. It really had beens cary. Although Izzy wanted to finish the movie, it was kind of hard when you were pinned to the bed by your boyfriend.

"Just be remember to be gentle, cause I might bite back." She winked playfully laughing wondering what he would do with that information. This was just the kind of nigth she needed. Tomorrow would be like hell with the funeral, but this was nice. "And remember your family is just down stairs...I am sure they will come to my rescue."

Izzy could not help but laugh. She knew Taki was way to nice of a guy to ever do anything horrible, which is why she felt it was okay to joke. Izzy knew she was in safe hands right now.

"You would bite me?" Takumi tried to make out he was scared but ruined it completely by laughing. She was right in that they would cause his family to notice if they kept on laughing like this but it was good to see Izzy happier. She'd had such a dreadful time of it lately and he was glad to be able to help lift her mood... even if it was only for tonight. "Then as you may bite me I shall release you... THIS time," he added in dire warning.

Takumi settled back at Izzy's side, one arm around her as he reached for the remote. "Let's see how this ends and then go down and help set the table for supper," he suggested and as the axe descended towards the hapless woman's head he sneaked his other arm around Izzy as well...

"Sooo... it was quite frightening, hai?" he asked when the end credits had finished scrolling up the screen. By this time Izzy had as good as crawled back beneath Takumi in an attempt to hide from the spirit causing all the mayhem and death on the screen. Not that he minded one bit.

"You must not watch any DVDs that you are unsure of and if you do never - ever - answer the phone," he said in a serious tone. He was, of course, joking with her but Izzy's eyes widened the more he said and that saw him add a grin. "It's just a film, remember?"

He rolled off the bed, unable to resist adding... "Or is it...?"

Izzy had pretty much missed the last five minutes of the movie. Although she heard what happened, she had hidden her eyes underneath Taki. Yes, it was scary and Izzy was weak during any scary movie. She always hid. Izzy pulled back the moment Taki let her know the movie was over, "Yeah, great movie, just wonderful." She said laughing just a little. "You so owe me a chick flick for that." Not that she minded. Scary movies were good for cuddling.

With the last words or is it...Izzy reached back and picked up a pillow once again throwing it at him, "For your sake it better be. Cause I will take you down with me." She commented as she slide off the bed. She picked up the pillow and placed it back on his bed. "I am thinking I will turn all my phones on silent tonight at the house...just in case." She said.

"And um....I don't think I will be watching any DVD's for a while. " A small laugh followed the statement. Izzy knew it was just a movie or so she hoped it was just a movie. It was right? Just a movie? Oh great now she was thinking it might not be.

"Takumi, Dinner, time to set the table." His sister said from the door.

Izzy jumped and let out a small scream...she came out of no where. She had not meant to scream. But she had screamed and gripped Taki's arm in a death grip. "Sorry, you scared me...don't ever watch Ringu...makes you jumpy." Izzy admitted, but she had not let go of Taki's arm yet.

Mayuki laughed but not in any way nastily. Just out of sheer amusement. "You made her watch Ringu? Yoshino Takumi... bakayarou!"

"I'm telling okasan what you called me!"

Mayuki shrugged. "I will tell her you're lying to get me into trouble... again. And besides, it was mean of you to make her watch that film. Unless... Ooooh Takumi wanted Izzy-sempai to cuddle him when it got frightening! Shame on you!"

Takumi laughed and tousled his little sister's hair. "And guess what?" She pered up at him. "It worked... now go!"

Mayuki giggled and ran off allowing Izzy and Takumi to follow at a more leisurely pace.

He'd already set the bulk of the table earlier but there were still a few items that needed adding.

"Okasan made miso soup to start with and then kare raisu for after that. It is a curry. Japanese curry. She wasn't sure what you ate and so wanted to avoid anything uncooked. And then we have your pie for dessert. It smelt tasty!"

They wandered into the dinig area and Takumi handed Izzy 6 small bowls for the soup and their matching short china spoons. He carried the dishes they would need for the curry, along with 6 sets of chopsticks and 6 small rests for them.

He threw her a sideways glance as they finishing laying the table. "Sooo... are you having a nice evening? Even with that scary film!" he asked with a wink.

"Now that I know the movie was a ploy I feel a bit better." Izzy laughed, "I am feeling good. Its good. " Izzy told him, "I needed this. A time to just forget, even for a moment." Izzy told Taki. "Thank you...for everything." She opted to kiss his cheek this time since everyone was headed for the dinner table, well dinner area since it was on the floor so to speak.. She didn't want to have his parents catch them making out. That would be embaressing.

"Eating dinner like this isn't so bad. Its nice. Jett would have a field day with it." Izzy told everyone. Dinner was nice. Not like with her father. That had been embaressing and a tad awkward, but right now this was nice. They way a family should be. Then again all families were different. "Can I help clean the dishes....its the least I could do for such a good meal."

Izzy had a feeling she knew what the answer to the request would be. But soon came dessert, which luckily seemed to be a hit. "I have had a great time. And we still have a few hours left. What ever will we do with the time?" Izzy inquired playfully. She was not looking forward to the next day but right now it was nice she would sit back and forget.

Dinner went well. The miso soup was tasty... as usual... and the noise of slurping soon filled the air. He threw Izzy a grin when she hesitated in picking up her bowl and drinking the soup that way but she soon got the hang of it. The kare was equally good. That just left Izzy's pie.

Izzy's request to wash up was firmly declined and Takumi would see to the plates once he'd taken Izzy home later. Unless Mayuki had an uncharacteristic bout of benevolence and did it instead. Stranger things had happened. Not many, he knew, but...

"This is really nice," Takumi stated when he tried Izzy's pie. The rest of the Yoshino family were all in agreement.

He threw Izzy a grin when she asked what to do with the rest of the evening. "I am sure we can think of something," he replied with a wink.

Sonomi had missed the entire exchange as the words had been shared in low voices. "Sencha?"

Four voices all expressed their agreement and Takumi turned to translate it for Izzy. "Green tea. Would you like some? It's usual for a Japanese meal to end with green tea. It's not strong abd bitter like the stuff you buy in tea bags. Really nice! And then after that we can think about what else we can do...!"

"I would love some green tea. I love tea. My mother and I use to have some all the time when she was in town. Now I make some for Jett and he pretends to sip it. That boy does not know what he is missing." Izzy told them. She did like tea. None of the buy in the store crappy tea but the real tea that was sometimes hard to find unless you went to an herbal store.

Izzy took a seat and waited for the green tea. She was really enjoying this. Of course getting use to certain things was a challenge, but Izzy was a semi fast learner. It was great. Taki's whole family was great. She could wait to figure out just what other ways they could pass the time. "You all should meet my brother. He would love all this. He doesn't get out very much." By that Izzy meant experiencing different things like sitting on the floor, or having green tea after a meal.

Actually her brother had been quite secretive lately. Izzy asked him if anything was going on, but he said no. Little did Izzy know that stuff he was doing might come out soon. Once the tea was over Izzy smiled as she handed her cup over to be put in the sink. She once again stood up and smirked at Taki, "So just what are you thinking?"

Takumi pretended to think that question over, the fingers of his left hand running over his chin. "I was thinking maybe a game of sugoroku. Or maybe irensei... Then again, I have more scar films..." He was teasing her, of course, as he had a feeling Izzy wouldn't be all that keen on another movie... or the board games he'd mentioned. "How about we take our tea outside and drink it watching the moon and then come back in and decide what to do with the rest of the evening then?" He knew what he liked the thought of but with his sister and brother in the house and likely to walk in on them he wasn't sure making out would be such a good idea!

Izzy nodded and when his mother returned with their small handleless cups the pair took them out into the rear garden. "See? It is sort of blue coloured." He laughed. "The moon, not the sencha," he added, still grinning. " A blue moon is considered good luck in my culture," Takumi continued. "the third full moon of the season. We even have a name for what we are doing now... looking up at the moon. We call it tsukimi."

He slipped his arm around Izzy's shoulders as they wandered the large garden. "It is also a full moon tonight. Even more lucky. Chuushu no meigetsu... the name we have for the moon... is considered even more elegant when veiled by thin cloud although tonight the sky is clear. In ancient times the it was believed that rabbits lived on the moon, and they made mochi with a wooden pestle. I am not sure they don't exist and like to think they do. At times of full moons you might even be able to see them." He threw Izzy a grin. "Shall we try?"
