In 2161 when the federation was created starfleet and the council agreed that their may be use for ships who worked out side the normal boundaries, of departments and teams who had no boundaries to the missions they performed. Two hundred years later one of these said ships is the USS Oberon, under the command of seasoned black ops officer and wild card among any crew. Starfleet as seen fit to give him command of the Oberon, what is so odd about this and the mission that he has to fulfil with said ship.
Its simple really the Oberon is a Luna class explorer, the hope is that she can go whereever she needs to go and be seen as little threat to the enemy. The Oberon is a ship without boundaries, its a ship without laws, it only has one rule. Its the rule they live by the rule they die by.
"Protection the federation what ever the cost personal or physical"
Before joining the crew the staff will have under gone special training with black ops and intelligence if they are not already in a combat oriented department, even our medical staff are trained to fight as well as heal they may have different methods but everyone chips in when the chips are down and the future of the Federation is at stake.
Our first mission, the Vidians have killed the crew of the USS Exeter, a certain friend of the captains a mentor if you will has been taken hostage. The problem starfleet can't seen in a normal crew to rescue their fallen officer. They won't sanction an official mission which is what the Oberon is built for, our job is to get in and get out with the commodore... the commodore has information about the Kazon and the Vidians which may be vital to starfleet operations in the sector.
Do you have the steel to enter the world of black ops do you have the ability to go beyond the limit of your training and leave behind your ethics, this is where the true heros of the federation work, we do not get credit for our work and when we are caught their is no rescue plan but that we come up with ourselves.
All positions are open besides the coommanding officer and the science officer.
Marines are welcome I would actually like a mainly marine crew.
