Elena got up later then usual. She had a long night last night with homework and research and her wanting to just stay up and watch horror movies. She realized last night that she really did not get to scared at horror movies, real life was a lot more scary. If you can surive your parents dying, a move across the country, getting scratched and scared by ghost, and hearing creep evp's and the like, then scary moves just do not make you jump anymore. After she showered and got dressed she went down stairs to see if her uncle and aunt were still home. She did not see their car so they left already.
Grabbing her keys she left the house and got in her car.She headed for the coffee shop she liked to stop at in the mornings. She parked and just cared in her debit card she put in the front pocket of her white capri pants, and her cell and car keys which she held in her hands.Going inside she was glad to see it was a short line. She got in line, which she noted there was only seven people ahead of her.
She looked around and saw some people that came there all the time. She smiled at a few as she waited and shifted to her other foot. She heard some come up behind her and normaly she would not speak to them but she was more outgoing. She was actually talking to people. She turned and gave them a smile. "Hi" she said to her. "Short line this morning."

Bartholomew was struggling to stay awake, having been kept awake by the neighbor's blaring loud music out of his truck. Was it necessary to park his truck right outside the Fischer house and just sit in it listening to music all night long? Was it so difficult to listen to music in his OWN house? Apparently, this was in fact very difficult. The redhead was always tired in the morning, always needed caffeine to perk him up, and so a lack of sleep was definitely not helpful. He felt as if he was dragging, prone to fall asleep at any moment. To make matters worse, the line was moving so slowly.
He had to stare a bit when Elena spoke, his sleep deprived brain failing to function at normal speed. He knew who she was, of course, as they both ran in the nerd circles. He still felt out of place when with Bree's friends, but a girl like Elena, while she was pretty, she was still part of HIS group of people.
"Huh?" He yawned, then, "Oh. Umm, yeah, I guess. Kind of slow, though." He opined, feeling deep dislike for the woman at the front of the line (which was, admittedly, not all that long) because she was digging through her purse for a coupon she'd cut out of the mail. "Ugh, if a five dollar cup of coffee is too expensive for her she needs to just go to the McDonald's." He complained, glaring at her through bleary eyes.

Elena laughed at what he said. "I can tell you have had a rough night" she told him. "Of course those of us that live on coffee, are a bit impatient" she told him.She had to admit she was losing patenice quick, she was one that she could stand still but only if she was in the mood to. And she was not in the mood, as dorky as it sounded she did not want to be late for school. "If she goes any slower she will hold us up from getting to school" she told him and sighed. She pushed a piece of her dark hair that was slightly curled off her forhead. She was favoring the slightly curly with tousled hair look today.
"How have you been?" she asked. They might as well chat while there was time to kill. She did not know him Mew well but she knew him a bit since they did run in the same circle. She and he were very much part of the Nerd Herd. She thought they were alike in the fact they did not care what people thought, and did not mind being nerds at all. "Also if you didn't bring your car I can take you to school. Cause at this rate we might end up running late" she said.
She smiled when she saw the woman find the coupon and pay. "Finally" she said as the next person stepped up to take their order. "I hope the others are not going to be like her. This is why I perfer ghost to people alot of the times. They don't drive you crazy with impatience" she said with a laugh.

Mew ran one hand through his hair. "Ehhh. Yeah, I didn't get any sleep." He admitted, "Stupid neighbor...." If he'd had any choice he would have simply stayed home in bed, but his parents would never have allowed that. He hoped he didn't end up falling asleep in class; he didn't want to get in trouble because someone else had kept him up all night. It wasn't like he'd stayed up playing video games or partying or anything.
"Ummm. Okay. You?" He asked, feeling a little awkward. He wasn't about to spill the entire falling out with his best friend and his new sort of romance with Bree because he and Elena weren't exactly close friends. She'd probably heard about the fight the last week, though; it didn't seem like anyone hadn't. But then maybe she simply hadn't paid attention and didn't know anything about the park and Annie and Phil. She hadn't mentioned it, anyway, and that was just fine by him. "No, I didn't bring my car. You sure that's okay?" He would take her up on the offer, though, as that would certainly be quicker than walking. Maybe he could spend the ten minutes it would take to get to school cat napping.
"Ghosts?" The redhead asked, confused. "You'd think ghosts would be slower than living people, wouldn't you? I mean, when they say the quick and the dead wouldn't that imply that dead people are slow, since living people are the quick? They have all the time in the world to do...whatever it is ghosts do. Haunt people and stuff." But then, ghosts and other nocturnal creatures were not his main area of interest; Maggy would be far more likely to know whether or not ghosts would drive someone crazy with impatience as Elena put it.
"Oh, looks like it's your turn." He yawned as the final person before them left. "Ughhhh about time."

Elena put her order in for her irish cream coffee and a also ordered a muffin she could eat on the way to school."And make that a triple chocolate muffin" she said as she took out her card and passed it to the woman running the register. After paying she put it in her purse and stepped to the side to wait. "Nothing like coffee and chocolate to wake you up" she grinned. When she got her stuff she moaned softly when the two smells combined hit her nose and made her body feel awake without even tasting either thing.
She took a sip of hot coffee before turning back to Mew after he ordered. "I don't mind giving you a ride. That way no one is late" she smiled. She actually was starting to feel happier in her life, not as happy as she was when her parents were alive and she was with them, but happy none the less.
"Oh some ghost they are not slow at all. They like to make themselves known. Then we have the shy ones are not slow just are not sure to show themselves or gives signs of their presense to someone new" she said. "Sorry ghost hunting is my thing" she said with a laugh. "I guess you can say it is my passion. I actually work for the local ghost hunting society as a job" she said to him and took a bite of muffin. She moaned after she swallowed. "This is so good you should order one."Anyway regarding ghost, they were easy for her, yes they may not show themselves but she could sense them.So really she was never wrong about when one was around, eventually they made their presense known, and she has never had any impatience reguarding the dead and really anything paranormal.
