Lia was dressed in short shorts and a baby-doll top in colors that brought out her light blue eyes. She stood on the front steps of the school hoping Christophe had not forgotten her and headed directly to the aquarium. on the side, she leaned back on her hands and enjoyed the feel of the sun beating down on her gleaming hair. It was the kind of day Southern California was famous for, Making her glad she had make up with spf30 in it. A gull cried over head before wheeling its way back to the shore. Talking idly to a young man who didn't seem quite able to communicate back in a coherent manner, Lia treated him as she would Jandro, but he still seemed to be in shock to have a blonde goddess notice him. Amused, Lia pulled out her cell phone, considering texting Christophe to locate him.

(OOC: No way can we waste your opening post! Not when Lia looks so pretty ;P)
To celebrate getting the aquarium job Christophe and Lia had decided to ecxplore his new place of employment in full. The French boy hadn't had a chance to do that the previous day, having been with dale Anderson for the better part of an hour. That had included a tour of the orca pool, of course. This afternoon, though, he wanted to see the rest of the place and who better to share that experience with than Lia. Her charm - and Sarissa's prayer - had surely helped him succeed.
"Hey," he greeted with a warm smile and Lia snapped her phone closed, mid text, it seemed. A boy a couple of years Christophe's junior murmured something incomprehensible before making a hasty retreat. "A friend?" he asked in curiosity. "If you want you can ask him to come with us. I would hate to have frightened your friend away!"
He glanced down at Lia. "You look... enchanting," he added. "I borrowed my mother's car so we don't have to walk... unless you prefer to do so?" It was a fair distance to the aquarium and so the car had been offered by his mother. That way they could have more time at the aquarium and then the beach.

“Merci, You’re so handsome I have to make special effort just to match you,” Lia said moving to pull up on her toes and give him a light kiss. “How was your day? How many new girls am I going to have to fight off?” It seemed to Lia every day there was a new girl with a crush on the handsome French boy. She was not at all confident in her ability to fend them all off.
“I think driving would leave us more time to explore since the aquarium closes at 5pm. Oh him. I was just bored and he was unlucky enough to be available. I think I frightened him,” she mused, still not aware of how pretty she was. She tucked her hand in his and let him lead her to his mother’s car. “Christophe, I hear you talk of your mother often, but what of your father?” she ask hoping she wasn’t bringing up bad memories.

"Me? Handsome? I think you have been out in the sun a little too long, cheri," he replied with a laugh. Christophe tapped the tip of her nose gently as he spoke but was more than happy to return her kiss. "My day was long and a little tedious," he admitted. "All afternoon I could only think of meeting up with you once more and exploring the aquarium together. It is impossible to concentrate on American government and senate legislation with that image in mind, don't you agree?"
He laughed as they set off towards his borrowed car. "New girls? Nah... You're ok... No fighting called for," he assured her with a wink. "Did I tell you about Sarissa, though? I met her yesterday. She's fascinating. She offered a prayer for my success with the interview. According to Connor she is something of a television celebrity. She is one of eight... or was it ten...? children and a show was made about them. Do you know her? I think you would like her. She is sweet."
He unlocked the car and held open the passenger side door. It was only after he'd climbed in behind the wheel that he answered her last question.
"My father? Oh he is absolutely great. he and my mother have been happily married for.... aaah... " Christophe performed a quick mental count. "... I think 27 years. They ran a boarding house in Whistler and are looking to buy a property here in town to set up along the same lines. You are right, though. I have met your family and yet you know nothing of mine... other than my mother is generous with her car!"
He set off towards the aquarium as he continued speaking. "I have a sister and a brother. Both are older than me. Amelie, she is married and has a daughter." He threw Lia a grin. "I am Uncle Tof to her," he told her with another short laugh. "And Tristan lives at home still. He is looking for a job at the moment. He is trained as a car mechanic."
Christophe swore - luckily in French and pretty backstreet Parisian at that - when a car cut across the lights in front of him. "And your day... How was it?"

Lia knew the Zouvelekis family, but sweet is not how she would describe Sarissa. But then she wasn't a handsome boy either. Sarissa might be sweet to her if she was.
"lots of homework, but I got most of it done at lunch. Uncle Tof... I like that makes me think of toffee, you're definitely tasty enough." Lia laughed at Christophe's swearing. "You're going to have to teach me what you just said. Mama says it is good to be able to swear in many languages.
Your family sounds wonderful, my mother could speak to her mechanic about a job for Tristan, she knows so many people."

"Homework... Ah yeah... I believe I have some to do myself. Later. For now we will have some fun... yes?" He laughed when Lia siad he sounded like a toffee. "All chewed and sticky," he commented. "I sound so... unappealing! But I cannot possibly teach you what I just said! If maman ever found out I did such a thing she would floor me for life." He frowned. "Not floor. Ground." He shot Lia a brief glance. "Ground me? That's right?" She nodded and he continued driving towards the aquarium...
"I know my brother would appreciate the chance," he continued and in reference to Lia's mother putting in a good word for Tristan. "Thank you... Not that he deserves any help. Do you know that my older brother constantly tried to get me into trouble? Not with our parents but... The other evening he tried to convince me to go with him and his friends. A club. He knows I am underage but..." Christophe lifted his shoulders slightly. Tristan would probably drag the younger Broussard into trouble at some time or other... and quite likely not in the too distant future!
"We are here," he stated, pulling up to a halt in the parking area. "I can't wait to show you the orcas I will be working with!"

"You Sir, are very appealing! I know because there are so many girls flirting with you that you never seem to notice, but I notice. I have to keep on my toes or one of them will steal you away from me. I think perhaps Tristan is not trying to get you in trouble but wishing for your company. Saint and Jandro do the same thing, wish me to go places I should not because they do not like me to be alone. I would not tell your maman you had taught me such things, but still I could say things that Santos would not understand. That would be wonderful. Do your Orcas have names?" She asked, slowing down as she realized she was doing a lot of talking.

Christophe laughed at the flirting comment, assuming Lia was joking around. He'd not noticed that happening himself. Well, only a little bit perhaps. "Maybe one day I will teach you some words in French," he said. "Words you can't find in a dictionary, I mean." He laughed at her comment about saying stuff her brother didn't comprehend. "Try this... 'ca me fait chier'... It means 'that really pisses me off'. Or if he is really annoying you say 'ta gueule!'" Christophe grionned. "Its a really rude way of telling him to shut up." Of course, the wiords he'd used a few moments before were a hell of a lot worse but Christophe wasn't about to teach Lia anything too bad.
"Names? Actually yes they do. The largest female is called Tika. Her two calves are Aurora and Cookie. The alpha male is called Romulus and his smaller brother is Remus." He threw Lia a broad smile. "And the newest infact is named Chinook because he has a pinkish tinge to his throat and looks like a salmon, so I was told." Chinook being the name of the largest member of the salmon family.
"Come on... I will introduce you. Tika is a little wary of strangers and that also includes me. I am hoping that she will soon learn to accept me. Chinook is a complete baby and loves attention."
He guided Lia through the aquarium, showing his new ID pass to the security guard near the main entrance. The man waved Christophe and his companion through.
"There they are," he breathed in a low voice. The largest area in the aquarium... and it was Christophe's domain. Well, in part.
