Looking for Clues....Izzy tag Ben

Izzy had a good lunch. Taki really was a sweet guy. The best boyfriend. She had lucked out on meeting him. He helped her feel better and even promised plans on Thursday, which sounded perfect. Izzy had something exciting to look forward to. She already had it in her calander and permenantly in her brain. Izzy was glad for the last bell. Now she had let her newspapers duties slide, but give her a room, a few hours and quiet and she could do the column. Her heart was not in it right now. Izzy made her way back to the circus. Cause that's what it was like.

Like clock work, the Korean yelling started as she walked through the door. The best part was the Korean cooking. It did make Izzy smile, as stressed as she was, she was glad to be with family she had not seen in forever. It was nice to attempt and reconnect. She still felt a distance, but it was not bad. It was still stressful, but not bad.

Izzy was aware she had been avoiding Eden and Ben. There was a reason. Only she could not avoid them for long, but they knew too much. Eden and Ben knew her mother and Izzy's semi distant relationship. So they would know she was not as okay as Izzy was saying. Sooner or later though she would have to see them.

So when things got to hectic and Izzy actually felt the need for another chill time, she got up and decided to see what Eden was up to. Maybe for once she would indulge in smoking, who knows. All Izzy knew is she needed to see Eden. So she told her family. She was leaving for a bit and Izzy hopped into her car and drove to Eden's house. She never thought Eden might not be home but out with Jett.

Izzy got out and knocked on the door. She smiled when Ben answered, "Hey....Long time no talk. Is Eden home to?" She asked giving Ben a friendly hug.

Ben smiled at the site of Izzy at his door. Just who he wanted to talk to! He knew that she was having a hard time with stuff and yes, he wanted to help her with that and all...but what he wanted to talk about was something completely difference. Something that would distract her, which to Ben, seemed just as good.

"Yeah...she's in her room," Ben said, stepping outside and closed the door behind him. "But can I talk to you first?" he asked. He gave her a look...a bit of a mischievous grin, "I know," he said, nodding at her. Her expression was blank. "Okay...well I don't know everything, but I figured it out...so what are you two doing to Jett this time? Please say I'm not included...you're not going to try and prank me, right?" he asked. See, Ben had worked it all out. The whole reason that Eden was with Jett had to be some sort of prank. And while he had originally planned to confront his sister about it, he knew that Izzy was a better choice. Izzy was the more innocent of the two girls anyway...well as of lately at least. Up until recently, he would have put Eden and Izzy in the same category...but his sister had changed.

However, Izzy still looked blank and Ben wasn't buying it. She had to know something... "Come on, I saw Eden and Jett together...what is it you to are planning?" he asked. "I saw them....I know," he insisted, still trying to urge Izzy to tell him what was up.

"I don't mind talking to you. You are my best friend to Ben." Izzy listened as he spoke not knowing about a thing he was saying. Izzy blinked a few times and looked at Ben dumbfounded cause she had no idea what he was talking about, "What do you mean...Eden and I have not planned anything since the whole faking she slept with Jett thing. I have actually barely talked to her in a while cause I was dealing with my own crap and was a bad friend, part of the reason I am here. I wanted to see how you guys were doing since I have been neglecting you...bad me." She smirked and lightly patted his arm.

"So whats this about Eden and Jett? I really have no idea Ben. We have nothing planned. "If you saw them together, they had to be arguing cause they would not be getting along other wise unless you were dreaming." Izzy said laughing thinking it was a joke, but obviously it was not. "Wait...you mean they were getting along...no fighting.."Izzy said.

"No way. Not Jett and Eden. I promise we have no joke we are playing on Jett. Unless Eden is doing something herself, but we both know she would not do that..so why else would they be getting along." Izzy said to Ben. "Do you think...something happened...maybe Eden finally told Jett to shove it...not that it would change anything. Knowing Jett it would make him pick on her more...but what else could cause this twilight zone like change you claim to have seen."

Ben watched as Izzy denied knowing a thing. "Come on..." he said giving her a look. But then he looked at her and could tell that she was telling the truth. "So...you haven't talked to Eden...wow." He shook his head. "Don't worry about not being around..." he mumbled, not really sure how sure how to express his sorrow for her mother's death. He wasn't really a talk about feelings type of guy.

"I don't know. I guess I saw them and just assumed it had to be some sort of prank." How could it not be? But Eden would have told Izzy...or him...she wouldn't have done anything on her own... Well, at least not old Eden, sure she'd changed a lot, but he was pretty sure she was the same girl underneath...but now he wasn't so sure. "I was going to find Jett, but when I saw him, he was with Eden. They were walking down the hall together, heading for the door like they were leaving campus to get lunch together. And no, they weren't fighting...they were laughing," he said. "She really hasn't said anything?" It just wasn't adding up.

"I...I just don't, get it," he told her. "You...you should talk to Eden...if she's not telling me something, she'll probably tell you. I mean if you guys haven't talked for awhile...maybe an opportunity came up to mess with Jett again but she just hasn't had a chance to tell you. Yeah...that must be it," he said, nodding. "So yeah, you should go talk to her and tell me everything she says. Even if its a prank on me--promise you'll tell me," he said, pointing at her and giving her his best serious face. "You don't think that Eden and Jett are trying to play a prank on us...do you?" Ben shook his head...the thought of them working together was just too weird. "Talk to her and find out whats going on...and tell me," he said. "Yeah..."

"They were going to lunch...without us and not fighting. Really?" Izzy had a hard time picturing that. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought Jett and Eden would hang out voluntarily. At least on Eden's behalf. Izzy still could not believe it. Either there was a prank or something she had no clue about was going on. "No..they would never team up to pull a prank on us. Jett and Eden would not be able to agree on a plan,so this has to be some weird fluke."

Izzy smiled at Ben, "You sure you are not smoking too much."She laughed. "Okay I will talk to her and I promise to tell you what she said. I am sure there is a simple explanation to all of this. Maybe they are preparing for April fools day. Izzy ruffled Ben's hair at the sight of his serious face. She never knew Ben to have a serious face. "Promise." She told him again not thinking she could possibly learn anything that would shock the boy.

"But um...maybe you should roll one just in case. You never know what she is going to say." Izzy said joking around. "I still cannot believe they were getting along, I am just as curious as you are now. I never even saw this. I definitely have to go talk with her. Thanks for tell me Echo." She said smiling at the use of his real name.

"I know...but I know what I saw. I think I did like a quadrupedal take, but they were getting along..." he said. Of course if it wasn't some prank there was always the chance that Eden was just trying to talk about Izzy, but still, it didn't matter who had died...there was no way that Jett and Eden could be nice to one another. It was impossible.

"No...it was before I smoked," he said, sort of missing the joke. Ben usually got high during lunch so to him it was just a normal thing. "I was gonna grab Jett and then smoke," he explained. He was glad when Izzy agreed not to keep him out of the prank or whatever it was. Still, as much as he trusted Izzy, he did not trust Izzy and Eden together so who knew what would go on after Izzy went to go and talk to Eden. Ben might have to spy...or attempt to spy...

"You want a joint?" he asked, his blue eyes wide. "Don't tell me you're going to start morphing into a completely different person too," he said, referring to his sister, who had completely changed her appearance for Cole...or at least he thought it had been Cole. He of course, had no idea that it was all part of some crazy plan to make other guys like her, thus make Jett jealous.

Ben gave her his best angry look when she used his real name. Ben hated his real name. Both of their names had been a nod to his mother's hippie days, only Eden was at least still a normal name. Echo was not. That's why he'd come up with Ben, by garbling up the letters in his first and middle name. "Just let me know..." Ben said, still glaring over the name thing.
