The day ending came way to soon for him, he wasn't to happy about going straight home, so he asked his driver to find a good all you can eat Chinese buffet. He wanted to splurge and not going back to the house for at least a couple of more hours, he would probably annoy his parents for not being at the family dinner table for the evening meal.
This place really was no frills food but it was worth it, some of the food was delicious he thought. As he sat down with his third helping of food, his attention was taken to Jeremy who he had barely seen at all today. The nightmare that Mike had visited upon him yesterday hadn't really improved his mood any. He still liked Mike hell he could probably do with having someone like him in his life, that and it would really annoy the hell out of his parents. He loved Jeremy he knew that much, but if he were honest Jeremy was the safe option. The option that had come up after he had finished with Mike, did that make Jeremy second best to what he really wanted or did that just make what happened yesterday even more confusing than normal.
What the hell was wrong with him, he didn't know what the hell was going on. Mike kisses him and he was all over the place for christs sake. He was happy with Jeremy, he didn't need any one to tell him that. So what exactly was the issue with Mike, besides unfinished business. He wouldn't have even thought of putting it to his parents and screwing Jeremy in the process before yesterday. His anger at how well he had been played by his grandfather and family, the blackmail to keep him in the family home for at least another year.
"It all comes down to him again." he growled out.

Not seeing Jade for a day or so made Jeremy long to see him again. Jeremy was pleased with how he handled Jade's grandfather, the temptation had presented itself to go on one of those Julia Sugarbaker soapbox speeches that Dixie Carter could deliver so well on 'Designing Women'.
That was fiction though and this was real life.
After spending the after school hours to rehearse his solo for the musical, the hunger pains hit Jere. Tonight would be a YoYo dinner, meaning Your On Your Own. The unanimous decision to go out for dinner won.
He pulled into the lot of a favorite Chinese take out place, the egg drop soup and garlic chicken were noted for being the best.
As he entered the restaurant, he heard the familiar voice of Jade, more than displeased about something major.
He approached the table and smiled. "Judging by your tone, something hasn't come down to me, which tells me its either Mike or your grandfather." Mike was a bit easier to deal with, the grandfather however was like trying to teach a brick wall to do tricks.
"So, a penny for your thoughts." He said as he sat in a chair next to Jade.

Jade looked up at him, "Its a bit of both, my grandfather did what I expected him to do which is threaten my inheritance to keep me in the house. I maybe a down to earth rich kid but even I would be lost without that kind of money being at my beck and call." Jade said glaring at the wall behind Jeremy he really hated this bit. It did tend to show him as a spoilt brat, which of course he was but he didn't tend to show it unless you looked closely at what he did or what he drove.
"Mike layed some stuff on my yesterday before the party, which would have been fine up until the point where he kissed me. Just when I think my life can't get any more confusing my ex boyfriend kisses me and complicates everything. Then a couple of hours later my parents show up to a party they swore they wouldn't be in town for and I suddenly had the urge to get lost in a bottle of vintage wine or something that would have me drunk as a skunk by the end of the bottle." Jade said to him. "I'm so sick of being the guy people come to when they have issues, or being Mr. reliable. For god sakes my own twin takes advantage of that side of me whenever he can." Jade said slapping his hand to his forehead. "Don't get the wrong idea about what happened with Mike, he has a Jade hand sized bruise from where I slapped him yesterday." Jade said to him. "He knows that nothing can happen between us, because I happen to like this other guy, you may know him his name is Jeremy. He has me in this place where I'm pretty sure I don't want the key to the exit door any time soon or possibly ever." Jade told him shaking his head.
"I'm just so pissed of at the moment with my life and some people, that I don't even know who I should be pissed of more with. Mike for screwing around with my head again, my grandfather for being a complete bastard to me and everyone else in our family because he believes we should be at his beck and call. Or my father for being the guliable SOB that he is." Jade snarled.
"You should know that games of cat and mouse in my family will drive you insane inside a year if your not careful, you should also know that I'm giving serious consideration to marrying you. You should also know that my family thinks my being game is a phase that I will grow out of when I meet the first remotely attractive girl who gives me a woody." Jade said to him. "Got to love my family, the simpsons and the Griffins have nothing on disfunctional. MacKenzie got sent here because he might just be gay, his parents can't deal with a gay son. So they sent him to the liberal side of the family in the hope that we would some how knock it out of him." Jade said his hand gripping the glass in it tightly.

The news didn't surprise Jeremy, about the grandfather. From what he had noticed, the man was devious, willing to bend the rules so they suited him and screwed anyone else who disagreed with him.
"I'm sorry Jade." Jeremy said. "I know getting out of the house meant something to you." It was times like this that made Jeremy glad his folks were a bit more loose on rules. "I wish I could do something to help you out."
Then the subject of Mike came up. A touchy subject for Jeremy. He felt his hand clench as Jade spoke of what happened then the kiss. Would Mike not learn? Even though he smiled at the though of a good sized hand print leaving a mark on Mike's face.
"If you want to be pissed at someone, I'd pick grandfather personally. He's trying to control things that are out of his hand, like a puppeteer or something."
"I can understand about Mike as well. Just remember though, no matter what happens he's always going to have a thing for you. No amount of slaps can change that."
"Whatever you chose though, always forgive them for what they did. There's nothing worse than hard feelings for someone because one day they may not be around."

Jade smirked, "Getting pissed at my grandfather doesn't get me anywhere, its getting my grandmother pissed at my grandfather that will get me what I want. Trust me if I can get the two of them on opposite sides of the argument, I can win an argument with my grandfather. Trouble is that isn't as easy as it sounds, you really have to get on my grandmothers nerves enough for her to side with someone who isn't grandpa." Jade said with a smile. "The sooner he leaves mind you the better we will all be, apparently my sister is going to get her wish in come here. I think she has finally had enough of being lunked from country to country." Jade said to him.
Jade smiled at him, "I'm in a pretty good place anyway, Mac being here as kind of allowed me to take my mind of the insanity that is my family and concentrate on helping him through the hell that is coming to terms with who he is." Jade said to him with a shake of the head.
"I've dealt with Mike, if he does it again he may never be able to use his groin for anything again." Jade said to him with a shake of his head. "I don't know what he was thinking but then that isn't unusual for me with him, I don't know any one who knows what he is thinking half the time." Jade said.
"Look you came here to eat so lets eat and forget about everything else for an hour." he said. "I really do not want to think about my grandfather or Mike while I eat, they will give me terrible indegestion." Jade said with a grin.
