Freddie stood at his locker with a smile on his face, no matter how tired he was from being up half the night with the twins, he had bags under his eyes that showed a severe lack of sleep. He had taken the bus into school this morning so he didn't have to drive, he seriously didn't think it was worth the risk. He would want to sleep for the next year when he got home that day, now what he really needed was coffee and a quite place at the back of the cafeteria.
Maybe he could catch some sleep while he was waiting for morning class to begin, he wasn't holding out much hope when he entered the cafeteria and found it quite busy.
"Just my luck, I can't catch a break this morning." Freddie said to himself as he ordered his food. "No chance of catching myself some sleep in here this morning. Black coffee as strong as you can actually make it please, pancakes and don't go easy on the syrup." Freddie said to the woman and the counter.
When he had paid he head for the nearest relatively empty table in the room, a single person sat at it, so he was hoping to get a little peace and quiet. But then again this was America after all, did the American's know how to do a quiet breakfast. They didn't know how to do anything else quiet that was for sure.
"Do you mind if I take a seat?" he asked politely he made no attempt to hide his true accent so he sounded like some posh git probably but he was in no real mood to hide it as well as he usually did.

Colby found it hard to concentrate on the magazine before him. Everything that was going on with Cat and himself and the evil root known as Quenten kept dancing around in his mind. Even the school food seemed off to him, like he was going to be punk'd or something.
He flipped a few more pages checking out the cars, dreaming that one of those would be his someday or at least a decent hobby to refinish one of them. He took a few more bites of food and chewed slowly.
In his thoughts he'd a Plymouth Fury just like in the Stephen King story about the car. It had a mind of its own and knew when the owner was hurting and how to take out the hurt. He grinned slightly at the idea.
He was brought back down to Earth by the sound of someone asking a question. "What? Oh sure go ahead." Colby spoke apologetically. "My mind is sort of wandering all over right now."
Maybe what he wanted was some good "man talk" with a guy. Maybe answers could be found from someone new to his situation.
He put on his friendly smile. "I'm Colby."

Freddie smiled at the other boy, "Sleep deprivation or day dreaming or what you could be doing with your day if you didn't have school?" Freddie asked him politely. "Both I get, right now I'd like nothing more than to crawl back into bed for the rest of the day." he said with a grin.
Freddie took a gulp of the coffee and scoffed this was what people would call very weak coffee, "You know the American's do great fast food, huge portions... but lousy coffee." he said making a face. "I asked for strong black coffee seriously how hard is it to make strong black coffee." he said grouchily before rubbing his eyes then taking another gulp of coffee before setting about his pancakes which he applied more sugar to before eating them.
"Nice to meet you Colby." Freddie said to him. "I am Freddie." Freddie introduced himself with a smile that lit up his face... any sembelance of tiredness disappearing behind a mask. He had someone to keep him awake and maybe even keep him entertained.
'Why didn't I stop of at starbucks on the way here.' he thought to himself.
He turned his attention to the other boy, wondering whether or not the boy would have something else to say. Meanwhile he would continue to eat his breakfast.

"Its a bit of both, mainly female troubles." Colby didn't want to divulge much information about the situation but then the more people knew about Quenten, the better off they'd be.
"To put it mildly, my fincee is being forced into a relationship with this guy neither one of us like, so I'm just plotting his demise somehow." That should work.
"No need to tell me about the coffee, may as well be drinking flavored water with as bad as it is!" He grimaced. "Although its not as bad as the food. Meat tougher than shoeleather, veggies huddling in the corner thinking they're unrecongizeable. The best part of the meal is dessert."
Freddie seemed to be a decent guy, good level headed sort. "Its nice to see a friendly face and a friendly person to go with it." He leaned on his elbows.
The aroma from the pancakes made Colby's stomach make a gurguling sound. "Pardon me, but the cakes smell good, I knew I should have gone with them instead." Even though that would have meant careful eating around the magazine.

Freddie nodded in understanding, he could understand someone who was going after his wife and how annoyed he would be if someone tried to do just that. Then again their were certain things you didn't do or act like in the presence of married women, that would allow him to deck the person who was acting like a dick towards his wife. He ran his thumb over his ring finger subconsciously.
"The troubles tend to get more interesting once your married to them. I think half my trouble was that, for most of my first year of marriage my wife was pregnant. I wore a ball protector 24/7 for fear of instant terrible pain." Freddie grinned. "Seriously though if your engaged to this girl and someone is trying to impose themselves into your relationship or split you up. You are well within your rights to knock the living daylights out of them." Freddie said to him. "No one has the right to do that to people." he added.
He laughed when Colby brought up the topic of food at the school, he tried to get stuff for lunch outside of the school when ever possible. He preferred home cooked food, mainly because he knew what would go in to it. He also knew that the school food was absolutely disgusting.
"I do believe that wars can be won or lost based on the decency of the pudding before a battle begins." Freddie said with a huge grin on his face. "I really need a wake me up, pick me up. Or I will be falling asleep in class for real. rather than pretending to fall asleep in class because I am bored as is usually the case." Freddie said with a smile.
Colby was pleasant enough and he could relate to the women issue, it would annoy him if someone tried it on with his wife. He trusted Penny mind you, maybe that was the difference between him and Colby... who knew honestly.

"Knocking the daylights out of the guy would just be a start." Colby commented. "The guy is nothing but bad news, the kind where the world would be better off without him around." A terrible thought yes, but a very true one as well.
"A pudding battle, why does that sound like something from Dr. Seuss?" Colby laughed. "If you need a real pick me up, Red Bull is okay, if you can get past the taste of it." It was even better with a bit of vodka in it!
"So whats it like to be married and in high school? I hope you don't mind me asking." Any bit of advice was welcomed as far as Colby was concerned. Too many times people would say that being a teen and getting married was a mistake or you should marry for right reasons or whatever else they had to say about it.
Protecting the girl you fell in love with and lost once seemed like a good and logical reason for Colby. He would not lose her to someone like Quenten. Q had taken her innocence and that was going to be the last thing he would do.
Ever.

Freddie shook his head, "No its cool, most people can't get their head around it. Having Penny in my life has helped me get through the last few months, which haven't always been a barrel of laughs. Being married in school is probably no different to being married out of school. Penny graduated three years ago, so technically there is only one of us at school. So she doesn't get to see me anywhere near as much as she would like. I don't get to share in the nappy changes and feeds anywhere near as much as we would like. It drives her up the wall, but we deal with it." Freddie said before taking a large mouthful of pancake.
He took his time before getting back to how life was for him, Colby didn't seem to mind all that much so he took his time. Freddie's mind actually drifted to his wife and had a big smile on his face because of it.
"People who say that your life gets dull after marriage, have it so wrong. Then again my marriage has been arranged since I was a little boy. Our paarents thought it would be beneficial financially for the two of us to marry. Its been a year now, I'm married to my best friend so it makes it easier... I imagine that everything else will fall into place eventually." Freddie said. "If you love that girl, don't let her get away from you, make sure you have a ring on her finger. Make sure that any other potential suitors know that the girl in question is off limits. And a healthy sex life definitely isn't something to laugh at." Freddie said to him.
"That last bit was a joke." he added with a grin.
