It took Connor by surprise for just a second, well, it would take anyone by surprise to be slapped on the ass. Well, in his case, more like groped. But it was a familiar groping, and he grinned as he turned towards his boyfriend. Though, he had absolutely no idea what Kian was talking about. Whatever it was, it was clearly exciting his fellow Irishman. So of course it got him a little bit curious. And any opportunity for a good photo was something Connor seized.
Sharing Takumi’s wonder about what could be so good about the flagpole, he followed the two guys outside, quickly joining in the mass sense of awe and amusement. “Wow. You’re right, I have to get this.” he laughed, grabbing his camera and quickly snapping as many photos of the car as possible, as well as the reactions of all those gathered around them.
It was even more incredible when they found out just who’s car it was. Patch and Evan had to be responsible, he was certain of it. They were generally at the root of any pranks that happened in the school, and this seemed too big not to reek of them. He found it hilarious, of course he would, it wasn’t his car. And he really hoped that his friends didn’t get caught for this. It would be funnier that way, and he could only imagine the kind of punishment they would get.
“Remind me to thank them for the photo opportunity later.” Connor murmured with a grin to two with him, knowing they would know who he was talking about. He heard the bell then, and the crowd slowly started to shrink. “Well, guess we better head inside.”

Takumi stared at the car while Connor took a few photographs of it. He made a mental note to try and explain it all to Izzy when he eventually caught up with her... Just in case she'd missed the spectacle. It was bizarre. No, it was beyond bizarre. Takumi had a feeling that once the people behind the trick had been discovered their lives were going to be very uncomfortable.
"Hai," he replied to Connor's suggestion that they re-enter the school building. The first bell had already sounded and so he'd have to postpone his trip to the library until first break. It wasn't like he needed the book this morning anyway. He waved farewell to Connor and Kian and wandered off, throwing his arm around the shoulders of the next familiar face he encountered.
He glanced at the other boy and threw him a broad smile. He hadn't seen Jandro in such a long time. Ok a couple of days but to the hyper-active Japanese boy that still felt like an eternity!

Jandro jumped when he felt the arm slip around his shoulder. Usually that meant he was about to end up somewhere uncomfortable like the trash bin. "OOh hai Taki, he said and hugged him back. "I wonder who did that? Do you know? Man that must be one expensive prank. "Principle is probably wondering how he can afford to get it down. It will either take a really big crane or two smaller ones. Lia has been awfully busy lately. Has she been with you?"

Takumi grinned at Jandro when he saw that he'd startled the other boy. He always got the feeling that Jandro was something of a loner... whether that be by choice or by circumstance. Either way he was Takumi's friend... and also the sister of another of his friends. That made solitude out of the question when Takumi was around.
"Yeah I saw the car. The talk is that it is Evan and Patch's handiwork and while I think it might be something they would like to do I can't believe they would actually pull a prank alike that. It is a bit... aah... serious..." The fallout was going to be hefty... Anyone knew that.
"Lia?" Takumi shook his head. "I haven't seen her since bowling at the weekend. She was with a boy. I cannot remember his name but he had an accent." Takumi laughed. "Then to me everyone has an accent except for me!" He frowned and tried to remember. "I think he was from France. He was dressed as a sword fighter." He grinned at Jandro. "That last bit ins't a lot of help, is it?" he asked with his head listing a little to one side in question. "Perhaps they are dating..." This last comment was spoken in a low whisper - just in case anyone else overheard.

Jandro's eyebrows raised slightly at the thought of Lia dating without telling them. She had been rather secretive lately though. He couldn't imagine not telling her about Teddy, but then he had never been able to keep things from her."I should check on Saint. Jonah didn't show up this morning and Saint is mopey as a result. I don't want him getting lost because he isn't paying attention."Jandro was terrified that his artistic, sensitive older brother would put himself in danger's way.

Takumi nodded. "I also have to go... I was supposed to visit the library before my first class but..." He lifted his slim shoulders in a shrug. "It will have to wait for morning break. I hope you find Saint and that he is ok. Maybe Jonah will be waiting after school and can then cheer your brother's mood." He couldn't imagine what it must be like being blind and Takumi could still see the day Saint's sight had been torn from him. He'd been there... Right alongside Jandro. A terrible day for all concerned although Saint was having to live with it still. "If I see Lia I will tell her to find you also and that her twin is bothered by her French boyfriend." He spoke the last part with a broad grin and an over-the-top wink. He hadn't a clue if the pair were truly dating but they'd seemed close enough at the bowling alley. "See you maybe later, Jandro-chan!" he called back as he started to walk away. All in all a good start to the day. Fun photos with Connor and then the car on the roof... And now he'd even had time to chat with Jandro. A good start indeed! (wrapped I reckon  ) |
