Shooting them up (Kayla,Attn anyone)

Kristen had a long day at class and was ready to go de-stress Kristen decided that she really wanted to get into some sports. When Kayla had talked about basketball a few weeks ago at the starbucks ;Kristen had been really interested. So Kristen decided to go into the girls locker room and grab a basketball. Kristen hadn't had P.E. since last semester. But hey she wanted to try something new. She hoped she could find Kayla to play with her because she didn't know much about the sport.

Kristen ran into the locker room and asked Coach Perez if she could borrow a ball. Kristen had a great figured so their was no worries there. Kristen just really wanted to do this for fun. The coach just gave Kristen a funny look as she took the ball from her. Mostly because Kristen last semester had not showed any interest in sports. Kristen usually spent her time texting during P.E because her best friend Brittany did that the whole period . Brittany was not around anymore though she moved at the end of last year.

Kristen ran with the ball to the hoops that were inside the gymnasium. Kristen had jeans on a a T-Shirt and sneakers so she was OK for wardrobe to play the sport. Kristen had left a note in Kayla's locker to meet her here so she hoped that Kayla got the note. Kristen couldn't wait she was going to kick Kaylas butt.....

Kayla's day had mostly been uneventful. She'd gotten up and ran around her neighborhood like usual and then she'd showered and then went to school. Her classes had been on the boring side, but at least she didn't have much homework to do. Not a lot of homework was always a good thing.

Kayla had found the note in her locker early from that Kristen girl. She wanted to play basketball after school. Kayla wondered if she had asked Amy to come too. After all, Amy was the basketball player. Kayla liked basketball of course, but the only sport she did competitively was running. However, she didn't have practice after school and she'd ran this morning before school, so she figured some basketball might be fun.

Kayla was dressed in a pair of jeans, a knit top and flip flops but she had some clothes in her gym locker so she changed quickly into a pair of sneakers as well as a pair of mesh shorts and a T-shirt. She pulled her long brown hair back into a ponytail before heading out into the gym. Kristen was there with a ball, standing by one of the nets. Kayla jogged over to her. "Hey," she said brightly, as joined the other girl. "Hope I'm not too late," she said, hoping that she hadn't left Kristen waiting too long.

Of course your not late I was just warming up and getting some Practice shots in. Sorry I couldn't invite Amy I didn't know her locker number so I couldn't pass her the note. "You ready to teach a girl some few moves on basketball?"

Kristen was ready to do this , she wasn't competitive , she wanted was to show she was a fast learner.Kristen at first decided to tease Kayla a little with the ball by not letting Kayla get it. Kristen knew this move was a totally guy move. Kristen bounce the ball from side to side as well . Kristen even did made a 2 point shot and passed the ball to Kayla. She told Kayla " Your turn". "So lets go Kayla show me what you got" , Kristen taunted Kayla to make a shot . Kristen added "I think we should play up to twenty points three points per shot." The winner, Kristen said "Gets to pick a event for the other one to join them in."

Kristen really liked Kayla she seemed like a good friend and a loyal one. Once Kristen made a couple of shots she asked if they wanted to get some water. Kristen unlike Kayla was not wearing the appropriate outfit. Kristen was even thinking of maybe trying out for the basketball team. Kristen so far was having a great time she hoped Kayla was too.....

Kristen was being really playful which Kayla didn't mind but it was kind of odd. Mostly because Kristen was really pretty and Kayla had to keep reminding herself that she wasn't supposed to like girls. She was still coming to terms with her sexuality. She knew she wasn't a lesbian because she'd had crushes on boys before...so did that make her bisexual? She'd never actually been with a girl before though so she wasn't completely convinced there either. After all, maybe this was just some sort of phase...once she tried being with a girl maybe she wouldn't even like it. It gave her the idea that maybe she should go and try it but its not like Kayla would ever be the first to make a move so it looked like that was never going to happen either.

They shot a few hoops. Kristen was actually pretty good for a girl who had said she wasn't really into sports. Kayla had no interest in joining the basketball team. She liked playing but it was more for fun. She liked running competitively, but other sports she liked more on an intramural level rather than being on the team where the scores mattered.

After playing for awhile they decided to take a break and get some water. Kayla didn't have a water bottle with her since she wasn't planning on playing until she saw the note in her locker. She went to the water fountain and drank some before walking over to the bleachers and sitting down. "Have you been keeping score?" she asked. "What's it at?" She'd agreed to the bet but hadn't really been paying much attention to the score like she should have been. She'd gotten most of hers in but Kristen had gotten a lot in too.

Kristen knew she had to tell Kayla the truth about the score , that she hadn't been keeping it. Kristen noticed the looks Kayla gave her they were admirable looks. Kristen then remembered that the week she had met Kayla gave similar looks to Amy. Kristen then noticed that she also was looking at Kayla. Now Kristen had said it before she wouldn't mind experimenting in fact she would love it. Kristen wondered if Kayla would be OK with Kristen liking her.

Kristen then suddenly remembered that she had to get back to the game playing. So Kristen told Kayla" The score is 15 to 9 and your winning Kayla." Kristen had to lie she didn't want to show Kayla that she might have a crush on her. Kristen definitely liked playing basketball though. Just knowing that she was doing good made Kristen happy.Kristen decided to get off the bleachers and make a couple more shots in. Kristen really didn't care if she won this game or not. Kristen was just glad she was making a friend. Kristen even had the idea that she should ask Kayla for her number so they could get together sometime. Kristen asked Kayla when they were playing "So what is your favorite subject?"

If Kayla had realized she was giving any looks that were outside of normal, she would have been extremely embarrassed. She hadn't noticed that she'd given any looks to Amy and she wasn't noticing that she was doing the same thing now with Kristen. If Kristen was noticing stuff, she was more perceptive that Kayla, because to Kayla's knowledge she was acting completely normal. Sure she had a lot of inner turmoil over her feelings, but that's all it was...inner. She hadn't told anyone about anything yet...never mentioned these feelings. She was too embarrassed to admit them aloud anyway.

"Oh cool," Kayla said about the score. "You know in basketball each point is worth 2, so if I have 15, that would be 30 and if you have 9, that would be 18," she explained. "We can just count each basket as 1 point though it that's easier for you," she said with a shrug. It didn't really matter to her anyway.

"My favorite subject," Kayla said, trailing off for a moment to think about it as she got up off the bleachers. "I like PE," she said with a shrug. Most people hated it, but Kayla liked the physical activity. But, realizing that she probably sounded like an uber jock, she quickly added, "I guess I like History and stuff too," she said, shrugging again as she waited for Kristen to shoot.
