Roxy slammed her locker shut and hurried down the hall. She needed an escape and fast. She’d gotten in a lot of trouble when Thad’s mom told her parents about their escape plan. Now, she was grounded. Her mom didn’t like the Cotton’s, didn’t trust the whole two mom thing, so while she was perfectly civil with the family as they were their neighbors, she would have preferred that Roxy hang out with someone else.
The whole matter made Roxy want to piss off her parents even more. However, Thad was still grounded, so hanging out with him was sort of out of the question, not to mention her grounding, but Roxy was less concerned with that. She could break herself out, it was just evidently harder to do the same for Thad, so he’d have to wait till he was finished being in trouble.
For now, Roxy had a plan…a good plan, or at least she thought so. And it all had to do with the new girl. It turned out that that cool Elend girl she’d met in the park…the one who liked to go to clubs and had hooked up with Tyler, the most popular guy in school, even before her first day, had almost an identical schedule to Roxy’s. Aside from Roxy’s 5th period drama elective, Elend had been in every one of her classes. And now, more than ever, Roxy was sure that she needed to befriend this girl. She was cool and rebellious, and not to mention the perfect way for Roxy to piss off her parents. Plus, Roxy was hungry for it…the idea of going out to clubs and meeting older boys…excited her.
So, when Roxy saw the other girl at her locker, she smiled and waved. “Hey,” she said. “You up to anything right now? Wanna hang out?” Roxy asked. Her mom was somewhere in the parking lot waiting for Roxy and by ditching out, Roxy would undoubtedly get into even more trouble, but that was sort of the point anyway, right?

Elend had a horrible day, she had just barely avoided detention for talking back in her math class and some snooty older cheerleader type had been totally nasty to her at lunch and once again she had barely missed detention or worse as he had slapped the bitch a good one. Seeing Roxy's friendly face, Elend's broke out in a smile as well. "I would love to, I think you have singlehandedly saved my day,"she said happily. "Got any ideas on what to do?" she asked wondering if Roxy was as brave as she seemed.
She moved closer and lowered her voice. "My dad is being a major pain so I don't want to go home, but if we want to check out a club, we need to change. I found a shop near La Brea that has no security and I think we could grab a couple of outfits if you're up to it. It should be fun."

Roxy grinned when Elend seemed willing to hang out. She wasn't really sure what all that entailed but she did know that Elend seemed pretty badass. Maybe she was technically younger than Roxy, although only by a few months really, but Roxy was already looking at her as someone she could look up to...emulate. Of course Roxy had no idea what she was really getting herself into. She just had visions of dancing in clubs...making out with older boys...maybe some drinking.
However, when Elend asked her is she had any ideas, Roxy sort of went blank. It was sort of embarrassing. She was the one who'd grown up here. Elend was new...Roxy should know what there was to do. The problem was, that Roxy and her friends were kind of immature to put it lightly. And while Roxy sort of wanted to branch out...act older, this was sort of her first attempt. Okay...well not first. She had gone out and lost her virginity last year...but then she'd just gone to the pier. That didn't really seem cool enough right now, especially when Elend had talked about strip clubs the other day when they'd met. Roxy wasn't sure she was quite comfortable suggesting that though...
Luckily, Elend seemed to already have ideas, mentioning a club. "Yeah, great," Roxy said. "Oh right...clothes. Yeah...I can't go home either," she said, remembering her mom in the parking lot. She wondered how long it would be before she realized that Roxy wasn't coming. And that's when Elend mentioned shop lifting. Right. Bad ass. Roxy wasn't sure she was comfortable with that, yet she wanted to impress Elend. "Sure," she said casually, as if the thought of shop lifting didn't matter to her at all, thank goodness that Roxy was a good actress. And with any luck she'd be able to pay for whatever she grabbed without Elend noticing. Either that, or she was in for a lesson in how to shoplift, something that Roxy hadn't quite bargained for. "You lead the way," Roxy smiled, filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

Elend grinned and lead Roxy out to where she had parked her father's motorcycle. He had been in a good mood and wanted her to pick up some food on her way home so she had managed to wheedle his keys from him. She was wearing black skinny jeans with zippers up the legs and a slouchy tank top with a fishnet off the shoulder top over that. Not the best clothing for shop lifting, but you could only do what you could do. She slung her leg over the saddle and settled down. "Okay climb on, Roxy!" she ordered with a grin, wanting to get to the shop before the offices let out at five, knowing it would be less risky with less people. "Basically when you try on clothing, leave some of it on when you put your clothing back on,The ladies are old and pretty much blind so its not as bad as it sounds."

Roxy nodded, still feeling nervous about the whole shop lifting thing as she followed the other girl. But Roxy's outfit, which consisted of fitted V-neck T-shirt, skinny jeans, and ballet flats, was by no means club worthy so she was going to have to pick out something new. And wanting to impress Elend, Roxy wondered if she'd have the guts to go through with it.
She'd never been on a motorcycle before, but it was sort of cool that the other girl rode one. Usually guys rode them. No matter though, Roxy got on the back, liking the way the wind felt as Elend took them to the store. Once at the store, Roxy's heart pounded as she looked around, grabbing items to wear. She grabbed a leather mini skirt, fishnets, a tank top, a studded vest and a pair of ankle boots. She figured she could hide some of the stuff in her purse since she wasn't sure it would all fit under her clothes. She was nervous about it though and she considered going up and paying for it, but she didn't want Elend to think she was wussing out.
Taking a deep breath, Roxy headed out of the store with her new outfit. She followed Elend's lead, walking out casually like nothing was wrong. Her heart was still racing as they reached the outside. "Wow...wasn't sure that was actually going to work," she admitted as she pulled off her T-shirt, revealing the tank top she'd purchased and pulled the vest out of her purse and slid it on. Standing in by the motorcycle on the street, Roxy slid the skirt on over her pants and then pulled her pants off and slipped on her new boots. She tossed her old clothes into her purse and smiled at Elend. "Okay...I'm ready to go out," she said enthusiastically, "where to?"

Elend was impressed with Roxy's lack of fear and thought sh did a great job in the shop. For herself she picked out a roaring 20s style flapper dress in bright blue and silver beaded fringe, a pair of seamed stockings and 3 inch stiletto strappy sandals. She also got some silver clips for her hair so she could pull it up and back to achieve a look of sophistication. There was a cafe nearby so she dragged Roxy in to their bathroom so they could finish up and put on makeup and stuff.Sharing her make up, soon they both looked at least 18 by thetime they were done. "Now we go find Rick," she said and led Roxy to a taco stand near the pier. "Ricky baby! she call out as thhey entered and a darkguy with jeri curls came out from the back. He kissed the German girl and took them to a booth near the kitchen, "Roxy, this is Ricky. He is a bad boy in all the good ways. "Roxy needs an ID Ricky can you do it. "You know I'm the best Elend? Question is can she handle the price? He looked over Roxy with a smirk and a hint of heat in his oh so dark eyes.

Roxy liked putting on lots of makeup, she just usually didn't have a reason to wear this much. It was lucky that Elend had makeup with her because Roxy didn't. She already had some makeup on but not much, just some mascara, blush and gloss. She mostly did up her eyes, making them smokey to match her look, using a dark charcoal gray shadow and thick black liner, dusting a little gold over top at the end to give it little sparkle and make it pop.
Once she was finished with her makeup she looked over at Elend, watching as she finished up. The other girl was just so cool. She was only 14 and she went to clubs and hooked up with guys like Tyler Durnham. Roxy loved her friends but paling around with Thad and Ezzie just seemed so juvenile in comparison, although she had to admit, she had a lot of fun with them. And it wasn't like she was planning on ditching them for Elend or anything, she was still the same Roxy. She was just letting her rebellious side play out a little more. And yes, maybe she was faking some of the courage...shop lifting and scared the shit out of her, but she'd gotten away with it, and Elend hadn't seemed to notice her fear so, all was good. It didn't hurt that Roxy was a great actress either. She could probably convince anyone of anything. She even fooled her parents most of the time.
She followed Elend to the pier, wondering where they were going. Roxy had been to the pier millions of times, it was even where she'd met the guy she'd lost her virginity too. And she knew there were no clubs on the pier. A bar or two, yes, but even those were more restaurants than bars. She wasn't sure what was up and until Elend introduced her to the Ricky guy. Maybe he'd get them into whatever club? Oh...id...right, she supposed she did need one of those. Roxy had been sort of naive about it, thinking that she could just walk in with Elend and it would be no big deal. And cost, she had to pay for it right. "I have a little money on me...how much does it cost?" she asked, a little innocently. "Even if I don't have it all now...I can probably get it..." she hoped. If it was a few hundred it might take her a bit. She could probably get by with spending $100 without her parents noticing...she could lie and say she bought clothes...maybe even the ones she shop lifted, but more than that might be trickier. But maybe he could take what she could get now and she could pay him the rest another time. It didn't even occur to Roxy that the payment might be something other than money.

(Ignore the handsome mug of Tyler's. This is a post for Ricky. Apparently I'm good with skeevy people. ) The girl was cute. Elend was more Ricky’s style, but he could happily more than make do with Roxy. Hell, he would love to get his hands on both girls together even more, something he was fairly sure his German friend would go for, but this new girl, he wasn’t quite so sure. She seemed to have some innocence about her, despite the way she was dressed, his eyes moving back down to focus on her skirt, that tank top. Well, not so much the clothes but what lay underneath them. Roxy didn’t even have a fake ID yet, that just proved to his mind how innocent she was. He didn’t even consider just how young she was, she was hot, so why should such a trivial thing matter? And admittedly, he liked them young, and even innocent. He could quickly shake her loose of that. “Well, I normally charge $150 a pop per ID, upfront. Pretty cheap for the quality of my work, I have to say.” he chuckled, flashing a grin to both girls. “Elend can testify for me, I’m good. But, for a friend of a friend...” He trailed off, looking Roxy over once more. And not even her, regardless of how innocent she might be, could mistake just how he was looking at her, where his thoughts lay. “I’m sure we could come up with an...arrangement we’d both enjoy more.” He glanced at his watch, grinning at the time. “And you ladies are in luck, if you were planning on heading out tonight. And by the way you both look, it would be a shame not to. I’m almost done here. Another ten minutes and I’m all yours. We can head back to my place, I’m sure we can agree to a fair trade.” Laughing, Ricky ran a hand through his hair. “And something tells me you’ll photograph well Roxy.”

The guy made Roxy a little nervous but she stood strong, playing it cool. She didn't want either of them to know that she was scared. She wanted to seem calm and collected. The boy, Ricky, wanted $150. Roxy wasn't sure...that was a stretch for her but she needed the id. It was one thing to pay in shifts but he wanted it up front.
"Sure...whatever. Any deal you can give me would be great," she said with a smile, not really sure what he meant by an arrangement. Originally she though he just meant a discount in price, but his tone suggested something else. What else...Roxy wasn't quite sure.
He went on to explain that he'd be finished work soon and that they could go back to his place before they went out. And then he mentioned a trade... It was the first time that Roxy was sure that he didn't mean money. What could he possibly want to trade with her? Sex? She'd had sex before but it hadn't exactly been a pleasant experience and she wasn't sure that she wanted to have sex with him. But then he mentioned photographs... That seemed less scary. She'd had her picture taken before...how bad could it be?
"Okay," she said. She wasn't completely sure of it all. But she'd already shoplifted...and she still wanted to go to the club. Could she really back down now? The answer was no...it was definitely a no. And worse comes to worse she could probably come up with at least some of the money so maybe she could always do part money part trade. But whatever happened she'd have to figure it out soon because she didn't have too much time before everyone went down.

elend got them a couple of sodas and knowing Ricky and the owner really well, added some rum hidden under the counter. Roxy looked nervous and Elend thought it might relax her some. She was a bit oblivious to the fact that her friend was totally innocent and Ricky scared her. She took the drink to Roxy. "Are you okay?" she asked in a whisper, not wanting to embarrass her. "Listen if you don't have the money, i'll take care of it. " She didn't have money either, buy trade didn't bother her either.
