Summer usually spent her lunch time eating on the go. She was either passing out flyer's or bugging students to sign petitions. Most students signed to make her go away, but hey, as long as they singed it was no big deal. Today Summer had flyer's for the auction at the Edward's estate. The student council had agreed to make them and pass then out to students the day of, so no one would forget.
Summer took on the task. She was very creative and since she could not go to the auction due to curfew, she decided this was the least she could do. So of course she told everyone she could about it. Assuming they listened. Most people stood around to take the flyer then took off. Nothing new for Summer. She was quite use to doing most of the talking while other people either walked away or just stood there.
She started in the cafeteria and then walked through the halls. She rounded corners. The school was kind of big so it was taking a while. She would take a bit of her homemade lunch, swallow then hand out a flyer. It was working for her. Until she decided to turn a corner and her body hit something which caused all the papers to fly every where. Go figure there would be a door in her way. Summer sighed as she looked at the papers all over the floor.
However when she saw someone walk over it was even worse, "Please tell me you did not just see me make a total idiot out of myself." No doubt Dex of all people had seen her and the door become quite close. Summer blushed.

Dex figured it was lunch time he should settle down on the pranks and buckle down on eating something. Dex was really excited because he figured later he could shoot some hoops at home. Dex dragged himself out of Economics. Man did he hate that class. If Dex didn't have to take it to graduate there would be no way he would've stayed in that class. Dex's teacher would constantly talk about how his wife divorced him and left him for another man. Lunch for Dex meant it was a time to kick back and grub.
Dex decided that before he would go to the cafeteria he would go to the snack machine and grab a snickers. Man did Dex have a craving for chocolate. Once he got to the vending machine it seemed as though the snicker bar was stuck .Dex gave it a kick or what others would call a love tap. Dex figured all he needed was some real food now so he decided to go inside the cafeteria.Dex immediately opened the door and he saw he hit someone. Dex in no way was attempting to hit the person but when he went to go look he saw it was Summer.
Dex remembered Summer from the mall and how he thought she was cute. Dex answered her question " Well I did see you make a idiot of yourself but to me your made a cute idiot of yourself. Dex couldn't get over Summer smile , it was so pretty. he loved the way her lips would make this child-like grin. Now Dex just had to figured out what to say to someone he had just hit with a door other than "Sorry". So Dex asked her"Do you wanted to get some lunch together?"Dex gave her a cute adorable smile one she couldn't resist.

"Thanks...for the cute idiot comment. Getting hit by a door is not flattering for me." Summer blushed when he called her a cute idiot. She tucked some hair behind her ear as she looked at him. The flyers were forgotten. She should be mad that she got hit with a door, but with Dex how could she be mad. He was nice, cute and a senior. Him being a senior alone was a reason not to be mad. She was a sophomore and he was senior, they were not suppose to mix. "Sure. I would love to. " Seeing her lunch bag on the floor, she eyed Dex and smiled.
Yeah she needed a new lunch. "Are you wanting to go to the cafeteria or we could go off campus." Summer suggested. "There are a few great restaurants close by." She could not skip school, so as long as she was back before lunch was over, going off campus was a good idea to her. She hoped Dex agreed. After all with a smile like that how could she not want to hang around him.
"I am glad I ran into you again. It was great meeting you at the mall." She said in a soft voice. "I was hoping we could hang out more." She would like it. Summer hoped he would not mind. She knew she could be over bearing and over whelming at times, but that was not always a bad thing. She was a very friendly girl. Once she actually took a chill pill now and then.

Dex was glad Summer said that she was happy to see him again. Dex was happy to see her too, he remember how memorized he was when he first saw Summer. Even though Lily was with them the first time he meet Summer, Dex hadn't stop thinking about Summer. What Dex felt bad about was that he had hit Summer with the door. Once Summer finished what she was saying Dex immediately apologized for hitting her with the door " It was a accident he added, I hope you can forgive me."
Dex was thrilled though when she asked to go off campus he wondered what kind of restaurant she had in mind. Dex really wanted to go to like a Olive garden or Macaroni Grill. Dex figured this would be a perfect chance to get to know Summer better. Dex even had in mind that after this date he would ask Summer out.
Dex had no problem that Summer was a sophomore in fact he liked that he felt like the older guy. Dex really hoped that Summer would want to go on a first date with him. Dex then asked "Are you ready to go we can take my car?"

"Of course I can forgive you....how can I not." Summer gave him a little laugh as he suggested they take his car. Summer turned and looped her arm through his and pulled their bodies closer together. She might be a tad shy, but Dex was making her feel a little more comfortable. Summer could relax just a little. he was cute and he called her cute, which was a confident boost for a girl like Summer.
Summer used her free hand to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear as she looked up at Dex. "So besides skateboarding and music, what else do you enjoy?" Summer just wanted to learn more about him. Although she dreaded the idea of him finding out the truth of her shady past. Yet she still wanted to get to know him better.
She walked with him to his car and then got inside. Summer hoped this lunch went well and she did not make a fool out of herself. She tended to do that when she was nervous and as comfortable as Dex made her, she was nervous because he was a cute older guy. Who wouldn't be nervous in her shoes.
"I must say I am shocked you remember me. I tend to be too over whelming on the first meeting because I get talkative and very into what ever I am working on, like the petition at the time, cause meeting new people makes me nervous." Why the heck did she say that? Summer could not believe she said that, "But I don't feel nervous anymore. I hope we can be friends....at least." Summer said the last two words a little silently cause she wanted more, but he was a senior so she would settle for friends. Although she was nervous, but she was trying not to be.

Dex first wanted to clarify to summer" I don't just want to be your friend I actually want to be more than your friend. Summer I think you are the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen and your beauty is what attracted me to you in the first place but your soul is what is keeping me here." Dex could not describe what he was feeling but he found himself falling for Summer. The last crush Dex had was his ex girlfriend who had died of leukemia. Dex answered Summer question though, " I love lots of sports such as football and basketball. Dex also added that he was a big fan of kids including his little half-sister who he had never met because she lived in Hawaii with his mom.Dex was shocked at how open he was feeling with Summer normally he wouldn't open up so easily. Dex just felt really comfortable with her I guess. Summer did have that persona about her that he could tell her things.
Dex loved that Summer was a nervous wreck its what made Dex feel like the average guy although he hoped he could calm summer down who knows maybe a kiss on her lips would do the trick. Before Dex did any of that he wanted to get to know who she was and where she came from. One thing Summer had that Dex never saw in a girl was mystery and intrigue but he loved it.
Dex had no doubt in his mind that he was going to have fun with Summer. After Summer sat inside of his car Dex did a short jog to the driver seat. Dex was definitely thinking Olive Garden. He wondered if Summer was a pasta fan. Dex then took his Black Mustang and speed off out of the school parking lot. Dex car was known to be fast but since Summer was in the car he went a little slower. Once they got to the restaurant;Dex did another jog to open the door for Summer. The way Summer gracefully got out of the car made Dex's heart drop. Summer was beautiful.........

Summer's cheeks blushed crimson when Dex admitted he wanted to be more then friends. In foster care when a guy said that it meant they had one thing on their mind, but this was different. Dex's mannerisms and the way he spoke. It screamed good guy, and for once Summer was not scared. Most of the guys in foster care were very scary and you went along with what they wanted. Which is the reason Summer had gotten into so much trouble int eh first place.
"I like you too. And I want to be more then friends as well." She said with a bright smile. So she had a boyfriend now. Oh Summer could not wait. She would tell her group home leader and her social worker. Of course rules would be set in place, but the rules were no different then before. Just if Dex ever came over, prior warning was needed and no closed doors. Which was fine with Summer cause that was far from her mind. right now all she could think about was this moment and how her heart was fluttering in her chest.
"Thank you for the compliments, you are very handsome yourself. I always find myself smiling around you." She admitted to him. Also he brought out this girly side to her. Usually Summer was not so girly, she was not anything except a persistent, annoying kid who liked to get things done, but around Dex she became a giggly school girl. As soon as he parked at Olive Garden all thoughts of school flew out the window.
Summer glided out of the car, "Nice to see Chivalry is not dead." She said with a smile. Her insides were bouncing around from excitement as she slipped her hand into his. Oh god, she was a sophomore with a senior boyfriend. This was too good to be true. She needed to get a hold of herself. This was not how she acted, she was a profession, and approached everyone as such, but around Dex she could not help it. He was a cute boy and she was a girl..why wouldn't she fall for him...he was cute and sweet...of course...
