Lily pushed some of her hair behind her ear as she stood at her locker. She stuffed her math assignment in there, which she’d half-assed on the way to school. Oh well, she’d worry about that later. She didn’t have math until after lunch anyway. She could always go over it during that period if she was worried, which she wasn’t. Lily didn’t get the best grades but she always passed which was all she really needed to do anyway.
For now she just had to think of Health. That was her first class of the day…did she have any assignments due? She didn’t think so. That was probably one of the few reasons that Lily actually liked the class…she rarely had homework in it. She grabbed her text book, one of her notebooks, and a mechanical pencil. Lily didn’t really have a notebook for each subject. She usually just used the first clean page in her current one and used it till it was filled up and then started a new one, having all the subjects mixed together. It really was completely disorganized but Lily rarely looked over her notes anyway so it didn’t matter.
Lily shut her locker and headed down the hall toward her first period. She was dressed in a pair of jeans with a fitted V-neck Roxy T-shirt and a pair of navy Vans sneakers. She wore no jewelry and didn’t really have enough makeup on for it to be noticeable…just some mascara and clear lipgloss. It was pretty much a typical look for her, nothing really special. She had no need to dress up for school, and while she usually preferred sweats to jeans she felt kind of sloppy wearing them when she wasn’t going to the gym, so really, for her she was even a little nicer than usual.
Thirsty, she stopped at the water fountain for a drink. Usually she liked to have a bottle of water with her but she’d forgotten, so this would have to do till she got a chance to buy one from the vending machine. However, as she was leaning over, drinking from the fountain, someone walked into her butt. Lily stood up and turned to see the culprit…not really angry but more confused…after all, no one had really walked into her butt before. Did that really just happen?
OOC: I need to wrap by Thursday this week, so keep that in mind before tagging in

"Gomen nasai!" Takumi exclaimed as he pulled his hands up high from where he'd touched the girl who had been bending over. Purely accidental, of course, and he hoped she would believe him when he told her that. Yoshino Takumi wasn't the sort of boy who habitually touched girl's rear ends. Or anywhere, come to that!
"I am so sorry!" he added and this time in English, accompanied by a little dip of his head. "I... that is... I didn't see you there," he finally managed to utter and his words came out in something of a rush. while colour washed into his cheeks.
"You have some water..." he said as helpfully as he could as he touched his own chin.
Takumi drew in a deep breath, unsure what to do or say and so opted for a slight change of topic. Ok for 'slight' read 'drastic'.
"The weather is good today, hai?" and he mentally groaned at how pathetic that had to sound. Not only did she probably think him to be some kind of serial groper but also a complete idiot who was unable to hold down even the most basic of conversations. He was a lost cause and thankful no one he knew was close by to witness the disaster.

"Uh...its alright," Lily said. She blushed out of embarrassment as she looked at the boy. She didn't know who he was really, well she'd seen him once or twice in the halls maybe, but that was the extent of it if that. He seemed equally embarrassed though, so hopefully it wouldn't be too awkward. Although she supposed accidents like that were bound to happen when the halls were crowded with two schools worth of students.
He pointed out the water on her chin and she quickly wiped it away. "Uh...thanks," she told him. She still felt awkward. It was the point in the conversation when she'd usually turn and flee. But then he mentioned the weather. Right...he wanted to talk to her. Some people, actually were friendly. Lily wasn't friendly. No, she wasn't mean and she was nice when people talked to her first, but she wasn't friendly. She wasn't about to go introducing herself around the school or starting up conversations.
But since he started it, Lily smiled politely. "Yes, it is," she agreed. "It's nice to see that the rain is finally over," she commented. Although really Lily didn't mind the rain, mostly because rain in LA meant snow in the mountains an hour or so north and that was good for snowboarding. Maybe she'd go sometime this week...they probably had a good layer of snow up there. But of course most people here didn't care about things like snow more than an hour north. All they cared about was sunny days because that was better for hanging out with your friends. Only, Lily didn't really have any friends, but that was probably because she wasn't very friendly.

She wasn't angry and for that Takumi felt a profound gratitude. Some girls might have thought he'd touched them on purpose and if Izzy heard of it - and believed them - then he would struggle to explain himself. Luckily Izzy knew what he was like and so would have surely given doubt the best benefit. "Hai... today should be a-"
He started to say something more but the loudspeaker system crackled into life at that moment and halted him mid word. He tilted his head a little to the one side and listened as best he could but he found it hard to understand everything the slightly distorted voice was saying.
Eventually the message stopped and he looked back at the girl, confusion etched across his face. "GLEE? What is GLEE?" he asked. He thought it meant something about being happy but why would ameeting be called to discuss happiness? "And someone was attacked? That is bad news," he added. He didn't recognise the name at all but to learn that someone had been stabbed came as a shock... Particularly so soon after the school shootings. Perhaps the same gangs had been involved?
He drew in a deep breath. "My name is Takumi," he said. "What is yours?"

Lily listened to the announcement, thankful for it because it broke the awkwardness she felt. There of course was nothing wrong with the boy. He seemed nice, very friendly. Lily just had issues talking to other people, relating to other people. It was strange. She was fine when it came to snowboarding. She had plenty of friends that were also involved in that. But they mostly talking snowboarding, gear, and competition. She, seemed to have issues when it came to anybody else. She was awkward at best.
Zach Doyle...he was in two of her classes. She'd never really spoken to him much...but still, hearing he was attacked was kind of scary. "Uh...yeah...I'm not sure what GLEE is...but I guess they said theirs going to be a flier," she said with a shrug. "Yeah...Zach Doyle, he's a sophomore at Gould," she told him. "I don't know why anyone would have wanted to attack him though..." He'd always seemed quiet and sweet.
"I'm Lily," she said, smiling when he introduced himself. "We should probably go though," she said, pushing some of her hair behind her ear. "The bell's gonna ring any second," she told him.

He frowned, making a valiant attemt to pronounce her name. Sure, it was just the four letters but still... "Riri," he tried and shook his head in apology. "Those are hard letters to say in my language," he tried to explain, further ruining that same letter in the actual word itself. "Is it ok I call you Yuri?" he asked instead. "It mean... Ri... It means you name," he finished with a wry grin.
The bell did, indeed, ring out in punctuation to his question and Takumi threw his newe friend a warm smile. "I am very pleased to have met you, Yuri," he said with a slightly formal dip of his head. "Although I am ashamed of the the manner in which it was brought about. I am not usually going around touching girls like that!" Another laugh accompanied his words.
"I hope to see you again." A wave was added for good measure and as he headed for his first class Takumi's gratitude renewed itself as he'd still escaped notice. It didn't take a heck of a lot to embarrass the Oriental boy and teasing about his accident would have been more than enough to draw colour into his cheeks!
A quick stop at his locker to grab his books before he broke into a run. If he was caught by a prefect then he'd be in trouble for running but without it he would similarly be in trouble for tardiness!
(wrapped and thank you for a fun one! Have a great few days away...!)
