Frustrating Start to the Morning (Jade: Tag Jere)

He was pretty sure his day could only get better, he was woken by shouting downstairs, that even without the hearing aid he was able to hear just barely. It was one of the staff members shouting at a caterer for mucking up the carpets in the hall way. Alex laughing in the dinning room really hadn't improved his mood when he entered it twenty minutes later, the house still looked like a train wreck as people were fitting it out with what they would need for the party that evening.

"Donnatella call me if you need me to come back to the house and deal with anything." Jade said to their house maid who nodded. "I'll be glad when this nightmare is over." Jade said to him.

"Is Jeremy up?" Alex asked.

"He was sleeping when I woke up to that racket, I think his in the shower last time I was upstairs. This is basically going to be his second home from now on." Jade said to him.

"Don't you think you should you know wait for him?" Alex asked.

"Jeremy knows where everything is in this house Al, he can take all the time he needs and wants we have plenty of time. If I'd stayed up their it would be like I was trying to rush him or something." Jade said shaking his head with amusement.

"Mac is arriving this afternoon, I guess I am picking him up." Alex said to him.

"Considering that I can't drive yet, yes." Jade said to him. "I want to try and be driving again before the end of the week, I can't be doing this limo trick. Mom and dad insist I be driven by you or by the limo driver they hired or Jeremy." Jade said.

"We all know how you like to dependant." Alex said to him with a smirk.

"You know I can always make sure you end the night in the ER brother of mine." Jade said to him. "I just don't want to have to rely on others to get me to school and anywhere else I want to go." Jade said to him Alex made a face. "Anyway the pain is much more managable than it has been." Jade said to him.

"Really?" Alex said to him.

"I was shot in the shoulder you idiot, not in somewhere more important." Jade said to him.

"There was more damage than just getting shot." Alex said to him.

"Oh how sweet of you to be worried about my shoulder and my over exerting myself before its time." Jade said to him with a grin Alex growled.

"Don't go mocking me brother of mine." Alex said to him.

"Oh you think that Mac is going to give you an easier time of it?" Jade asked him. "Fine, and I am getting there Alex. Tonight people need to see me not as the guy who was shot, but the guy who can throw the best parties at school." Jade said ot him Alex stared. "We both know that this is mine and Jeremy's coming out party and that we will both need to nail this. Nothing can go wrong for me tonight." Jade said. "Thus why I asked Philip to hire some security, to make sure that no idiots from school smuggle in the Alcohol." Jade added.

"You think that will work?" Alex asked.

"I hope so." Jade said to him.

"Do you know if Mike will be here?" Alex asked Jade shrugged. "Jade please tell me you didn't invite that kid." Alex growled.

"I didn't not invite him... the flyers are all over school I can't go making exceptions now with less than twelve hours until show time." Jade said to him.

"You want me to do it for you?" Alex asked.

"Yes." Jade said to him. "I can't have him causing problems for Jeremy and me." Jade said to his brother who nodded.

"Consider it done." Alex said.

Jeremy rolled out of the bed that he had shared with Jade the night before. Alas the weekend was over and they had to be apart until the next time and with the schedules who knew when that would be.

He had packed a small case for over night which included his razor and shaving gel, he checked his face and it probably wasn't a bad idea to make it look clean for the nights events.

Finally showered and shaved, he hung his clothes up for that night figuring it would be easier to just change at Jade's instead of running home to change and make the commute in good clothes.

He dressed in a chocolate brown form fitting t-shirt and blue jeans. He looked good and felt good. He quickly went down the stairs where Jade and Alex were having what seemed to be a brotherly debate. He over heard them mention Mike.

'God please do not let him show up!' Jeremy thought to himself. He took a deep breath and dove in head first to the fray.

"Morning all." He addressed both giving Jade a quick kiss. "If it comes to picking up your cousin, what if I did it? I could pick him up, make small talk on the way here and when the time is right we surprise him with the news about Jade and myself."

Jade looked up at him and smiled, "Its cousins, and your car's boot probably isn't big enough for their luggage, its bigger than ours, but then we also have the land rover at our disposal and that really does have the space." Jade said to him. "Besides I'm not sure how they'll react to being picked up by people they don't know. They know Philip and the staff here, lets introduce you all when its not after an exhausting flight." Jade said grinning.

"Jet lagged true Irish boys is not something any body should have to deal with in a first encounter." Alex said to him.

"Thats actually a god point, are their rooms set up, they are probably going to want to get some sleep before the party tonight." Jade asked his brother.

"Yes everything is ready for them." Alex said to him.

"Great." Jade said to him. "I'm going to have my driver pick me up after lunch anyway, I need to get back here and make sure that everything is set up. We have the band arriving and I want them not to be setting up on their own. The caterers should be cooking the stuff that needs to be cooked by that time. You know that the cook is not going to be happy about that." Jade told Alex and Jeremy with a smile. "Jere you need to get here by fiveish, party starts at six so before the guests start turning up. Your get to met the cousins then, I'm sure they can embarrass the hell out of me before the party." Jade said to him. "We should take your car into school that way I don't leave mine in the parking lot after lunch." Jade said to Jeremy.

"Well, I could get dad's Winnabego, its got a king size bed in back, and I could easily throw food in for a snack, just in case." Even though driving the thing was like driving a bus. "You're probably right about that, best to leave it to people they know."

"What time are they expected in? I don't want to disturb them when I come over." If the Irish temperment was as bad as Jade said, he didn't want to face it not on this day anyway.

This was going to be the only time that he and Jade would have together at least until that evening but then who knew who all would be around. "Actually, if it's okay, I was going to come over a little earlier, just to get changed and make sure you are relaxed." That came out dirtier than it sounded. "I was thinking like coming around 4:30 and getting changed, I hate driving in good clothes." He rubbed his hand over Jade's back. "It couldn't be any worse than seeing my baby pictures." Jeremy nodded. "Sure thing, I would hate to think of what would happen if we left your car at school."

"Their due in at two this afternoon, probably not enough time to get much sleep if at all I know." Jade said to him.

Jade grinned at him, "Just don't let Bailey near the alcohol, because trust me the one thing we Edwards are good at is embarrassing ourselves and each other." Jade said to him smiling. "Hey Alex how's it feel to be having a parent sanctioned party at the house, instead of one that will end up with you getting grounded." Jade asked his twin.

"Kind of boring, no way to get caught here." Alex said.

"Well their is, you can get alcohol to the kids of this party and turn this into a night from hell for me. Right after I recover from the embarrassment I'm going to string you up by the short and curlies on the football field and make sure people get pictures." Jade said to him Alex winced.

"You'd do that to your own brother." Alex said to him.

"Not only would I do it to you Alex, I'd enjoy doing it to you... you know I don't think enough people have seen you nude around the school. Well aside from the people who turned up to your last party, when you decided to go streaking across our lawn and several of our neighbours lawns. It wasn't the party that got you into trouble, it was the antics while drunk that got you into trouble. It took dad applying pressure to stop the both of us being embarrassed by the video that was taken of you doing it." Jade said.

"I wasn't the only one." Alex said.

"No but do you seriously think I want my butt and groin area plastered all over the school." Jade said to him.

"My butt." Alex amended.

"Last time I checked, one in the same thing Al." Jade said to him with a smile on his face.

"Do we have to have this conversation with Jeremy at the table." Alex said to him Jade blushed deeply at this, he had actually forgotten that someone else was at the table. Much less his boyfriend. "

"You did not just hear that conversation, if you repeat it I may have to deny you your true pleasures in life... I don't know take away your musical dvd's and cd's." Jade said with a smile. "We sometimes get into conversations and forget that others are here. Its a filthy habit apparently but we don't actually realise we are doing it until to late." Jade said to him.

"What would happen if I left my car in the lot? I wouldn't have a car left in the morning, then I'd have to explain to my parents why I left my car in the parking lot when I have a limo and driver at my disposal until I am clear to drive again." Jade said to him with a smile on his face. "It would not be a pleasant fight." Jade added.

"Is their anything you need me to pick up on the way here?" Alex asked.

"Your girlfriend might be greatful for the lift." Jade said to him Alex smiled. "I assume Sarah will be here tonight." Jade added.

"I think so... I haven't actually asked her yet." Alex said Jade slapped his forehead.

"Alex your a dunce, ask her at school you moron." Jade said to him. "She is the best thing that has happened to you for a long time." Jade added.

"Given the traffic they'll be lucky to get here for an hour of sleep." Jeremy knew that from experience. He sat down at the table as the boys did their "debate".

A kitchen staff member came along and offered coffee to him. He accepted and added cream and sugar. Those two could go all night or till they were blue in the face.

Just like he and Julia like to do.

He needn't remind that his own folks would be at the party that night and if either boy were to be caught with booze then relationship with Jade would be severed.

Alex, streaking in the neighborhood! Caused a big smile to come over Jeremy's face. Not for the idea of seeing Alex naked but just the idea that someone actually had done it and lived to tell about it.

Finally, Alex brought it up that there was someone at the table besides those two. "Having not seen Al's butt I can truthfully say that your butt is the cutest." He said as he kissed Jade on the nose.

"I would prefer my family meets your family on good terms instead of being told that I was responsible for your car hitting a chop shop!"

"It'll take torture in order for me to tell anyone anything." He cocked his head slightly. "Or something to keep my lips occupied." He grinned slyly.

"I hate to rain on the parade but if we don't get going here, the party will be starting before we know it."

Jade smiled, "I need to call the driver with my plans for today, I can do that from the car." Jade told him as he rose from the table. "Don't be late to pick them up Al, they won't be thankful for it. And don't forget your car has only two seats, you cannot have one of them sitting on the roof of your car." Jade said with a grin Alex laughed. "I'll see you tonight." he added as he lead the way out of the dinning room, he knew his brother would be leaving soon anyway.

"So how did you like your first night at the Edwards house? The bed wasn't to uncomfortable for you was it?" Jade asked Jeremy as they entered the garage he looked wistfully at his own car as they headed to Jeremy's car. "Just between you and me I actually prefer your bed, much better pillows and warmer sheets." Jade said with a smile on his face. "We've been living in this house for quite a while now, but still it doesn't really have that feeling of home. I'd take how home in Ireland over this one, much more space to run than what we have in LA. You'd love it, the roads around it are like our own special rally stages." Jade said to him. "During the summer we would take the quad bikes out over the land, scare some sheep and cows in the process. The estate is excellent for of road games on the bikes or in karts. No cops to tell you not to on your own land either." Jade explained. "One day I want to take you home, show you where I was born." Jade told him. "You've shown me a lot of your world, but trust me when I say you haven't seen a lot of mine yet." Jade added. "First job is to get you a Gaelic phrase book." he added... "You can learn to cuss in another language, always a good idea to make sure people don't know what your talking about when you want to cuss them." Jade went on.
