Lana had taken a few weeks off school because the stress was beginning to bring her towards a major breakdown. As she was terrified of ending up in a mental institution again, she avoided having episodes whenever possible.It meant she hadn't gotten a chance to get to know either Haden or that nice Brazilian boy who had scared her in computer lab though. She had gotten a lot done on the comic book she had been planning for a while though and she thought she might send a copy of it to publishers and hope someone would take interest in it.As much as she loved doing her art work, she really felt the need for more physical activity, so she went for a walk down Venice Beach. For a Sunday afternoon it was really busy at 9-pins and it was interesting as some of the people going in and out were in costumes. This seemed to be a good sketching opportunity so Lana wandered inside and found a seat with a good view. Some of the people were familiar looking, but she made no effort to attract their attention, more in a spectator than participant kind of mood.
