The families jet was cutting its way through the night as it flew the kids and their parents back to LA, they had been in Washington visiting his mothers family. Always fun visiting family members he couldn't stand the sight of, regardless of whether they had presents for him or not. Not that presents were a factor of course, but his family tended to pester him all year round, he put up with it in his immediate family. Cousins mind you were another thing altogether.
Blake sat watching a movie on the tv he had in front of him his earphones plugged in so not to disturb his parents and get a lecture on being to loud from his father. This was one trip he'd rather not have an argument with his father on, it had been great when he had got on the plane, escaping his own idea of hell.
He felt a tap on his shoulder he looked up taking his ear phones out, "You hungry?" his mother asked.
"A little." Blake replied.
"I'll have the staff put your inflight meal on then." the woman said to him.
"What ever its only an hour back to LA mom, I can wait until we touch down, they have a KFC just outside the airport or in it last time I checked." Blake said to her.
"You will eat on the plane, not that junk." his father stated Blake glared at him.
"Microwave food is so much better dont you think." Blake said to him.
"Less fat for sure." the man told him.
"Says the man that has the same pizza from the same takeaway every friday night without fail." Blake said to him. "And you can't tell me what they put in those things is healthy, or that the place you buy them is sanitary and up on its health codes." Blake said to him the man chuckled.
"Your still not having KFC when we touch down." the man said to him.
"I knew I should have insisted on driving myself to the airport." Blake said shaking his head before returning himself to his movie.

While Blake and their parents were arguing over food, Lana had found herself also with her headphones in watching a movie. She was watching the sequal to the Wizard of Oz, the Return to Oz. Yeah it might have been an old movie, but she still loved it. When the arguing started, Lana sometimes wished she had a pair of her own ruby slippers. The fighting was the reason that she loved acting and being on stage, she could escape to a differant world.
Janet sighed, turning from her son and looking to her daughter. Tapping Lana gently on the shoulder, she waited for the young woman to take the headphones out before speaking. "Are you hungry Lana, or do you want to wait until we land in LA?"
Lana took the earphones out and shook her head. "No, I'm ok." She said, looking over at Blake as if asking him to please stop pushing at the General. Janet nodded, standing to go alert the flight attendants to put Blake's food to heat. Lana slid her earphones back on and unpaused her movie, sighing softly. She couldn't wait to go back to school tomorrow. She loved her family but sometimes things got so..tense.

Blake took a calming breath before eyeing his sister, wondering whether she would actually get away with take out on the way back to the house. No he wasn't going to have that argument, he was looking forward to his nice warm bed and getting away from his father for the rest of the night. It crossed his mind to just check himself into a motel to be petulant, knowing it would get on his fathers nerves quite a bit.
He tapped Lana's shoulder and waited till she took her earphones out to listen to him, "So I'm wondering if that rule about junk food applies to you as well, if not then I need you to smuggle some into the house. The food on this jet is disgusting no matter how much they paid for the damn thing." Blake said to her. "I want this plane to land soon, their is only so much crap I can take from the old man in one night." Blake said keeping his voice though an argument with the general was not what he wanted to deal with right now. On the ground he could escape, up hear he would actually have to listen to the man rant. My god did that man like the sound of his own voice.
It didn't cross his mind that he was just like him, maybe if it did he would change it somewhat.

Truth be told, Lana was actually a lot more likely to get away some take out food then her brother. This was because she never stirred the pot like he did. She rarely argued with her parents. She never really gave any problems.
After spending the weekend in D.C, Lana was also looking forward to her own bed and her own room. Her homework was complete, so at least she did not need to worry about that stuff. There was, however, an article for the newspaper that she wanted to do some more research on. Not to mention, being back in D.C. always reminded her more of their brother.
She turned, pulling her headphones out when Blake tapped her this time. "Probably doesn't...I don't toss a tantrum like you do...you get more bees with honey..and all that nonsense." She gave her brother a sweet grin. "You really need to stop pushing at him..he'd doing the same to you, and you know it." She said softly, glancing back over to where their parents were sitting.
"My sneaking you something in really depends on how you behave between now and when we touch down."

Blake gave her a murderous look, "Your seriously going to hold my stomach to ransom over being nice to the general for the rest of this plane journey. Even for you thats a new level of cruel, I must have died and your channeling me or something like that." Blake said to his sister with a grin. "Okay fine I'll be nice with the general." Blake told her with a shake of the head. "You know its disturbing your almost exactly like mom is at times." Blake said with a shake of his head.
Blake sat back comfortably in his seat his eyes closed for a moment, he was trying not to glare into the back of the old mans head, he knew that their mother would be able to see what ever it was that he was doing where he was sat... damn how is it that his sister got the best seat to glare at their parents at without getting caught.
"Next time I will sit there and you can take my normal seat." Blake said to her. "That way I can't get caught glaring into the back of the generals head." Blake said to her with a smile on his lips. "Don't give me that look sis, you know glaring at him is better than arguing with him." Blake said with a smile.
