Visiting the girlfriend (Nate tag Skye)

There was always a calm before a storm and that storm seemed to hit. Both literally and metaphorically. Nate had seen Skye that morning and then went home for lunch. Where he ran into a very pissed off Trixie. Whom said nothing but just mumbled as she walked by. Nate did not get the Michaels kids sometimes. Nate thought Trixie was still mad over her confrontation with Jay from the day before. They had been fighting a lot lately.

It was actually kind of sad really. The siblings use to be so close. Nate was not sure what was causing the rift. He had a feeling DJ was the focus, but not the reason. Nate had a feeling Jay was losing it. You did not kill someone without it having horrible ramifications. Sure Jay did it to save his sister, but still. It was not something someone should ignore and Jay was trying to do just that. Nate was worried, but what could he do. He already had his dad send him out to LA.

Which Nate was glad he did. He never would have seen Skye again or gotten a chance to be her boyfriend. It still sounded weird. He was a one woman man, just the thought made Nate smile. He was actually being faithful for once. Way easier said then done, cause Cali had quite the hotties, but he had the hottest girl of all. Skye was...well she was Skye and that was enough for Nate. He was lucky.

Nate showered and changed prepared to take Skye out on an actual date tonight. He dressed up nicely for once. Go Nate. He checked the mirror, and headed out to his car. Nate made the quick drive to Skye's. He sped like a demon. Something he always had a problem with. That was one good thing about having your dad be a sheriff. Nate got out of the car and jogged up to the front door. He knocked and waited. "Hey I am here for Skye?"

After shopping for a little bit, Nate had taken her back to the house, so that Skye did not have to ask Marc for a ride or hop home in the rain. The rain had actually made the swelling in her knee a little worse, so she had stretched out in bed for a while, kinda kicking back.

Nate had asked her on an official date, and she could not wait. Marc and Cindy had already cleared it, Marc had met the young man once before and seemed to like him. Cindy had not yet. Skye had no idea what Nate was planning for the night, he had not told her anything. She had dressed in a knee length white halter dress and heels.

Cindy answered the door, giving the well dressed young man a smile. "Come in, she's just about ready, what are your plans for tonight?" She asked. Cindy let Nate in, closing the door behind him. "Skye is really fond of you, I hope you intend to treat her well..she seems like a good kid." The older woman smiled. "Since there is school tomorrow, I hope midnight sounds ok? She has a cellphone so you guys can call if youre gonna be late."

Skye hopped out of the hallway on her crutches. "If she threatens to sick the dogs on you..it's a bluff." She grinned at her foster mom.

Nate nodded and walked in. "I was planning dinner on the beach, but given the rain, I have selected a nice restaurant followed by a walk, and perhaps a boring movie." Nate said with a huge grin taking a chance. He laughed after it. "I promise to be a gentleman and treat her with respect." He did mean it too. He had a nice evening for them planned and it would be a load off for Nate to not have something to worry about.

He waited and hoped Cindy accepted it. "Midnight is fine. I am sure Nana would hate if I was home later then that anyway. She likes to worry." Not that Nana would be up then, but it sounded good and besides Nate wanted to check on Trix anyway since she seemed pissed earlier.

"You look lovely."He told Skye. "Pleasure to meet you." He told Cindy. He gave her a kind smile and offered his hand to Skye, "If I remember correctly you like Spanish food right. This place has interesting music. Its cheesy, but you know how much I love cheese." He told her making a joke.

Nate smiled at Cindy once again. He walked out the door making sure Skye was okay. He did not want her to get hurt with the crutches and the rain, "Have an umbrella I can hold over your head? I cant afford to bring you home soaking wet and sick."

Cindy nodded, looking at Skye as she walked out. As Nate spoke about his plans for the eveing, Cindy moved and grabbed a calf length coat, holding onto Skye's crutches as she slipped it on.

"Spanish food sounds great actually." Skye answered her guy, giving him a warm smile. She took note of the fact that Cindy had tucked some extra cash into her purse, just in case something happened. It was such a change. Going from a house where she feared just walking through it, to having money handed to her for *just in case*

"Here." Cindy said, handing Nate an unbrella. "She's already injured enough, let's not kill her." The older blond gave the teens a grin, to which Skye shook her head. "Don't encourage him Cindy, please.."

"Goodnight you two..midnight.." Cindy held open the door for the couple, who headed out.

"So our first official date.." Skye grinned, crutching her way down the driveway carefully to Nate's car. Once they had gotten tot he car, Skye made sure that neither of her foster parents were looking, she pulled Nate to her by his shirt and kissed him softly. "You're a good boyfriend." She grinned.
