What started as a not so great weekend was quickly turning into a brilliant one for Evan. He still had his awesome girlfriend, who now apparently seemed to forgive him for his earlier idiocy. He spent the morning with said awesome girlfriend, eating ice cream ice cream and m&ms (hers) and ice cream and gummi bears (his). And now, the afternoon was going to be spent bowling and pigging out even more. So he couldn’t complain. Plus, Takumi was going to turn up now, the more people there the better, as he saw it. He couldn’t wait to see just how many people turned up. But it had to be a lot, who didn’t love bowling and food?
He dropped her back off at her house before setting off for his, so she could get ready for bowling, do all the girly stuff or whatever he didn’t understand. He got ready himself, but it didn’t involving anything other than changing his shirt. A quick look in the mirror sufficed as the rest of his getting ready, and with a quick bye to his mum, he was out the door once more, hoping that Brit wouldn’t take so long in meeting him there, so he could maybe steal a bit more time with her.
Rocking up at the alley, he quickly made his presence known. Not to let any early comers know he was there or anything, he was just naturally loud. And combined with the very bright blue shirt, covered with images of coloured bowling balls and pins, it was almost impossible to miss him. Though, with a few people around in costume, he might just be missed, he decided, figuring he would have to be extra loud to be spotted. He had no idea why people were in costume, and he didn’t recognise any as he was too busy rushing inside, but he wished he had thought of that. Next time maybe.
“Bowling, bowling, let’s go bowling.” he sung, rushing to one side of the alley to stand guard over a few lanes until other people started turning up. He kept a lookout for Patch, Brittany, Dare, Takumi, or anyone he even remotely knew, that he could latch onto.

[OOC: Delivery Errands thread has been relocated here!]
"Yeah I am going. Do you want a ride? I am supposed to drop off this guitar my dad is donating for auction, but apparently no one is answering doors today," Dare said and sneezed. He was drenched from standing in the rain for hours. He tended to catch colds easily and he had gotten little sleep the night before. He had Instead thought about Mike all night, getting more and more depressed since the other boy had definitely cooled down by the time the party broke up. Tony grabbed a worker and brought him over so Dare could explain about the certificate of authenticity and that there was a folder with its history inside the case.Dare slipped his almost freezing hand in Lexi' and opened the car door for her. Once inside he pumped up the heat. "Are you thirsty?" he asked opening the mini fridge and pulling out some Green tea for himself, figuring it might boost his immune system.
"Yes, I most definitely want a ride." Lexi grinned brightly at Dare, happy that something was finally going her way. And with such a nice guy too! "Oh just leave the guitar here. Someone should pick it up soon." She barely finished her sentence when Dare grabbed her hand and pulled her into a limo. Not registering how cold Dare's hand was, she was immediately entrance by the fact that she was in a limo. She had never been in a limousine before. A London cab yes when the family took a week long trip to England for a long distance cousin's wedding but not a limousine. She looked like a kid who was left in a candy store after hours.
Her hand traced the leather seats and didn't quite hear Dare's question about being thirsty. He had to repeat the question for her to actually strain her neck to look at him only to be averted to the mini fridge that Dare was poking his head in. "Homigod," Lexi's eyes bulged wide as her jaw dropped. "You ride in this like...everyday or something? You don't find it the most interesting thing in the world? I mean have you explored all the possibilities this vehicle holds? I mean have you pressed all the buttons? I always thought this thing only existed in movies! Or like for super rich...oh that's right your dad's like the lead singer for Toxic Religion...doih!" she knocked her head with the heel of her palm.
"And yes, I'm parched. Do you have like...sparkling water in there? I've always thought sparkling water was a funny thing to say. I've never tried though." Lexi's laugh was infectious. The tinted windows didn't give her a chance to see outside that much but when the limo stopped, the partition between the driver and passenger side slid down and the driver announced that they had arrived.
Moments later just when Lexi was about to open the door, Tony the driver had opened it for them with an umbrella. "Oh! I almost forgot! Do you mind closing the door just for a bit? I gotta change." She gave Tony a huge smile and pulled the door closed. She unbuttoned her dress and quickly put on the wig and nose and shoes, shoving her dress into the bag and knocked on the door to alert Tony.
She ignored Dare and Tony's looks and hurried off into the bowling alley with Dare in her hand. A quick scan of the bowling alley, she immediately saw the person she had hoped would show. If anyone could snap her out of her stupid drama induced coma, it had to be Evan Hughes. "Oh Dare look! It's Evan!"
She wasn't even sure if Evan actually knew who she was but she didn't care. He wasn't the type to discriminate anyway. "Evan! Nice shirt! I found Dare at the auction earlier and thought I should drag him here instead of staying at that boring auction anyway. So hi!" Lexi tried on the upbeat personality she should have adopted earlier. It was so much easier being happy anyway. Being in Evan's presence did that naturally too so that helps.

Hannah walked into the bowling alley and scanned the crowd. It was fairly busy, being a rainy Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't hard to find Evan, singing in his bright blue bowling shirt. Hannah smiled, then watched as some boy and a clown approached him. It only made her smile more, as they looked so silly. It could only make Hannah look better.
She had spent a number of hours that morning preparing herself, trying to find the perfect outfit for bowling. She had nearly worn a skirt before realizing what kind of oops moment that may cause. Flashing two boys was quite enough for her, so she settled on a pair of shorts that showed off her legs quite nicely, a white t-shirt, and a button down long sleeved shirt that she could tie off at the waist. She decided that cute was a more appropriate look for the event, and she was very cute. The only disappointment was that she would have to wear those ugly bowling shoes the whole game. But if it meant she might have a chance to have Evan teach her how to bowl how 80's movies had shown her guys teach things to girls, all wrapped up in one another, it was worth it.
Especially since she had heard THE rumor. News traveled quickly through high school, no matter how people try to hide their dirty business, and since Hannah was on the cheerleading squad she was usually one of the first to hear everything (and spread it on, of course). So when she heard that Evan had cheated on Brittany, it became obvious to Hannah that the scrawny little girl was no longer enough to keep a boy like Evan happy. Hannah, however, figured she would be much more up to the task.
So when she spied Evan at the bowling alley, she approached him with confidence. He seemed to be smiling and happy, which only further cemented in Hannah's mind his true feelings on the situation between him and his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend. She walked straight up to him, ignoring the dorky clown and long haired boy, and wrapped her arms around one of his.
“Hey there, cutie pie!” She exclaimed, a smile on her face that could brighten even her Southern accent. “Ya ready ta teach me how ta bowl?”

Dare's thin face held a bemused smile as he watched Lexi's enthusiastic exploration of the limo. "I have ridden in one all my life, my dad won't let me out alone. He's afraid I will get kidnapped or assaulted. And I am afraid of learning to drive." He grinned and waved at Evan. "Hey Evan!" he called before rushing over to hug him tight enough to lift him off the ground.

Vasilisa had gone home after getting her stuff the bakery she kept her eye on the time. She did not want to be late to bowling party or to early. She had eatened her doughnuts and watched sixteen candles as she waited. When the time came to leave she slipped back on her heels but she put a pair of socks in her purse to take so she could put on the bowling shoes. After taking his father out of his metting she told him where she was going and kissed him good bye. Getting in her car she headed to the bowling out and found a spot and got out and out and grabbed her purse and locked her car door behind her.
Walking in she looked around quickly decided where to go. Walking up to a guy and girl she smiled. "Hi is this bowling party, I was invited by Mal" she said. She did not know the guy or girl so she decided to introduce herself. "I am Vasilisa Remington" she said to them with a smile. She glanced around suprepenticously to see if Mal was there and she did not see her yet. She figured the other girl would be the one to introduce her to everyone and she was curious to see the boyfriend that was great. Maybe he has a twin she joked in her head.

Out of all the people Evan expected to turn up to bowling, a clown wasn’t one of them. Especially a clown who knew him. He stared at the clown a moment, trying to recognise the face and the voice, until it dawned on him and he grinned brightly. “Lexi!” he greeted enthusiastically, checking out her own threads. He knew the girl a little, he was sure he might have bumped into her once or twice, but he didn’t think he ever talked to her much. Until now. Bowling just brought people together. “Thanks! Picked it up special, but if I’d known everyone was wearing costumes, I would have dressed up too. S’arlight though, I know I look good.” he laughed. “And your costume is mad!”
Before he could say anything else, he felt himself lifted up a little off the floor and he laughed loudly until his friend set him back down. “Hey Dare, you’re stronger than you look.” he teased, glancing around. “Mike’s not here yet, though, don’t know if it’s coming. Do you? You two got on real well yesterday.” he smiled knowingly, guessing just what they got up to. “Told ya I would deliver. What can I say, I’ve got all sorts of mad skills.”
When the arm linked with his, Evan automatically assumed that his fellow linking was Brittany, so he was just a little surprised when he turned and saw Hannah instead. Not that he was disappointed or anything. Hannah was like him, seemingly always bright and cheery, though she seemed to eat healthier than he did, he wouldn’t put himself through such torture. If he had any idea that her interest in him was more than platonic, he would have been more than a little nervous and would distance himself as much as possible. He didn’t want a repeat of the whole ‘Syn incident’, didn’t want to risk his girlfriend dumping him. But that thought didn’t even occur to him, sure she was super nice and cheery to him, but he was super nice and cheery to everyone, so that didn’t mean he had a thing for everyone. He saw her just as a cool friend.
“Cutie pie? Oh, it’s the shirt. I know, it suits me.” he smirked playfully, barely able to keep himself still. “Course I am, I can’t wait! People don’t usually, you know, trust me to teach them anything, but you’ll be just fine. I’m better at bowling with my head, but you can use a ball if you want. I usually have to wait until night to do that anyway, they wouldn’t like it here if they knew.”
Then another girl came and it suited him just fine. Evan loved being surrounding by people and noise. “Hey Vasilisa!” he smiled, waving cheerily at her despite the fact that she was standing right in front of him. “I know Mal, she’s a good friend of mine! I'm Evan, also currently known as cool shirt guy, this is Hannah, Dare and the clown is Lexi. Don’t worry, she’s not scary, like It.” He looked down at their shoes, noticing the absence of the required footwear. “We need bowling shoes!” he deducted, “Though you could probably get away with it Lexi, looks like you’re wearing ‘em anyway. Let’s get some shoes! Or maybe some food. Tough choice.” Since he was linked to Hannah, he turned to her for her opinion. “So, whatcha wanna do? Wanna get something to eat before everyone comes, or get some practice in before, well, everyone comes?”

Post by Brittany Barnes on Feb 24, 2010 3:52:04 GMT -5
After ice cream that morning, Evan had dropped Brittany off at home so she could clean up a bit before going bowling. She'd showered and changed her clothes...she was still wearing jeans and a T-shirt, but her outfit had been a little less haphazardly put together this time. She'd texted Eddie, and although she hadn't heard back from him, she decided to head to the bowling ally a little early, hoping that Eddie did decide to turn up. Hopefully Ian would be there too...giving people discounts. He was so nice. She also had the money she was going to give him to help him out with rent, so all and all the idea of heading over early seemed like a good idea.
When Brittany arrived, she saw a small crowd forming that included a clown. A clown...really...could that be Evan...no the clown was clearly female. And that's when Brittany spotted Evan...with a stupid perky blonde on his arm. And not any blonde...but Hannah Bell...a lamo cheerleader. Really?! First Syn and now Hannah? And Dare was there too...did that mean that Syn was here somewhere too?
Brittany wanted to scream. If it had been a week ago, Brittany wouldn't have thought anything of the dumb blonde cheerleader on Evan's arm. After all, Evan would in no way ever date a cheerleader. Sure, he joked around with Aly...but that's all it was jokes. But Brittany never would have thought that Evan would kiss another girl either...and then the whole thing with Syn had happened. Yes, Brittany had forgiven him for that, but seeing him with Hannah...
She wanted to run away again. Had Evan lied to her about everything. No. She wasn't going to let this happen. She'd been the weak little girl all weekend and that hadn't gotten her anywhere. She was realizing now that if she wanted Evan not to break up with her that she was going to have to fight for it. It wasn't going to be as easy as just going out to get ice cream. Because maybe Evan wasn't going to dump her over Syn...but maybe someone else would come along and... Brittany didn't want to think about it.
Brittany took a deep breath and made a beeline for the group, walking right up to Evan and throwing her arms around him, sort of purposely elbowing Hannah as she did so. "Hey, you're here early," Brittany said, giving him a kiss even though there was a whole group of people there and usually they saved their kisses for private. Brittany needed to send a message that Evan was off limits. After the kiss she linked arms with him just as Hannah had and glared at the stupid cheerleader.

The sudden onslaught of females suddenly appearing made Lexi a bit self conscious especially when blonde Mary Sue cheerleader Hannah Bell appeared and attached herself on Evan's arms like a parasite. It was gag-inducing and a pretty lame move because as far as Lexi knew, Evan was attached. To non-cheerleader Brittany Barnes who Lexi thought was pretty awesome. Evan thought nothing of it of course. He was either too unassuming, naive or just plain obtuse. But that didn't change the fact that Lexi thought he was still a pretty cool guy.
Her Southern accent was grating at best and Lexi thought it was a little pretentious. Not the accent...just how she used it. Surely Evan could see through that act. She was a cheerleader for pity's sake. Lexi wanted to shake her head but he had gone on to introduce her as the clown to a new girl who entered their little group. She was really pretty and again Lexi felt self-conscious. This was just not her day. "Yeah that's me...clown." She grinned widely at the new girl.
Somehow the energy she had tried to pump up in herself that she had also wanted Evan to help her with pretty much drained itself out and she found that her outfit was just too befitting for her. Brittany's sudden appearance and obvious anger as she practically smacked Hannah out of the way made Lexi choke with quiet laughter. She almost wanted to verbally commend the bright red-haired girl but the look on Hannah's face was enough to quiet her down.
"Wow...suddenly I am just so keen on bowling!" Lexi burst out with a grin on her face as she backed away with an energetic wave. "I'm going to go...look for balls. I mean bowling balls not...yep I'm gonna-" she stopped talking when her back hit the sides of a really hard plastic chair. "Ow." She turned to the group with a wince before grinning although by then everyone was already staring at her weirdly.
"Wow where did that chair come from right?" she chuckled nervously as she backed away from the group only to bump into another person who had nachos and cheese in one hand and an open cup of soda in another. Funny thing about being bumped when you're holding open condiments is that they tend to fall on either you or the person you bumped into. Seventy percent chances say that it will fall on the person you bumped into. Which was how Lexi found her wig drenched in freezing cold soda and the front of her dress with melted cheese and nacho bits.
"Wow, this day really couldn't get any better." She said mostly to herself.

Dare stood horrified as poor Lexi got sabotaged with appetizer toppings. He hopped into the kitchen and retrieved a dampened towel AND RETURNED IT TO lexi. "Here, maybe this will help some," Dare said as he handed it to her. I have AN EXTRA SET OF CLOTHING OUT IN THE CAR IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE." hE LEANED CLOSE TO eVAN. (too impatient & excited to wait any more. premature posting! ) “So are y....” Evan started to point out before Brittany silenced him with a kiss. He far from minded this though, sure he loved talking, but there were two things involving his mouth and not talking that he loved even more. And kissing Brittany beat eating candy hands down. And it didn’t even occur to him about it being a more public kiss than normal, he was just glad to still be kissing her. Besides, he had kind of been all over her when they got ice cream, just overly excited that they were still together, so she was just returning the affection, is all. When they finally broke away, he was completely oblivious to the fact that his arm was no longer linked through Hannah’s, his other arm now linked through Brittany’s, and he missed the glare his girlfriend sent the cheerleader. Everyone was all happy and friends here, even newish, as he saw it. He loved this! And he loved how she smelled, all girly soap and stuff. “You smell purdy.” he whispered in her ear with a grin, before pressing a kiss to her neck. “Uh guys, I don’t know who this girl is, I’ve never seen her before.” he deadpanned until he quickly adopted his usual grin. “This is Brittany. Brit, this is Vasilisa, she knows Mal, Lexi is the awesomely dressed clown and you know Dare right, from the band fundraising thing?” He turned slightly now to Hannah standing on his other side, not aware of the fact that he was caught in the middle, as a manner of speaking. “And you know Hannah? She’s on Gould’s cheerleading squad with Aly, but don’t hold it against her. She’s never been bowling before, I’m gonna teach her. Brit’s really good, and she works here, so she sneaks me in for head bowling.” he boasted. “Well, she sings here actually, her and her band, they’re awesome. She’s even a better singer than me, so that’s saying something.” He watched with an amused grin as Lexi started to pull away from them, up until the point where the girl got covered in soda and nachos. Evan knew girls didn’t like it when you laughed at them when things like that happened, so he kept himself serious as he looked her over. He was glad Dare had clothes for her though, maybe he could laugh after she changed. “Yeah, or you could have my shirt if you want, if you don’t mind looking awesome. I’m wearing a t-shirt under this.” he generously offered. Dare’s comment caught his attention and he shook his head at his friend. “Nah, I reckon he is. Hey, don’t doubt my skills, give it time.” He continued to watch Lexi as Dare fussed over her, waiting to see if his shirt was needed. “Uh, why don’t we get the bowling balls?” he eventually asked the remaining three women he found himself with.
